Hi! We've re-uploaded this due to an error in the original version. Sorry about that! While you're reading this, why not let us know what your favourite moments from the Arkham series are in the comments below? Thanks - Simon.
And Arkham Knight was built on Unreal Engine 3 which 4 was already out. So the game was built on an outdated game engine at that time but still looks amazing lol
I myself plan on doing the same after 5 years. I've never played the sh.t load of DLC released for it. Looks fun. I might try to get that platinum trophy too!
Legit one of the best evolving game series I’ve ever played. From a linear level based Arkham Asylum to driving through Gotham in the Batmobile. The level of detail in the series was outstanding as well.
I really wonder how will a Batman game with civilians be pulled off? Like the Spiderman games have populated cities, but Spiderman himself is okay with people seeing him. I feel like Batman doesn't want people to see him and likes to stick to the shadows. If they do make it I'll be more than happy!
Just if anyone cares, the original video had them say that Hugo Strange revealed Batman's identity to the inmates (which is not true) at 4:56, hence the sudden voice cut and the reupload
Duchess thats now what I meant, I was just asking how did he know that the guy who was talking said that but I realized he probably watched the original video and then commented this on the reupload
@@tricko8000 no I heard about a possible court of owls game. A suicide squad vs justice league game but didnt hear of a new movie. I was making a joke tho
All other games I have played, there's always a bit of anxiousness when a big mission starts. Never in the Arkham series. In the Arkham series, I'm always confident no matter the odds. It's a special feeling. Might be because the main character is op. But still u're satisfied once the mission is over. And that's why when you play this, You are Vengeance. You are the Night. You become the Batman. The best presentation of the Caped Crusader ever.
@@thegodofeyes2712 Would never forget it 🙂. To me the Arkham series is like an evolved form of the animated series. An interactive version. And so here you no longer follow the character, you are the character. Since Paul Dini wrote both, I would consider AC, the best episode.
Hari Shankar Gopakumar that’s such facts, every storyline in the Arkham games seems like it could be a animated show you watch on Saturday morning. Not that it’s a bad thing I love the games
@@JXHNDRX exactly, it baffles me as to why no one was talking about it when it came out. Instead they were taking about Witcher 3's graphics, which are kinda overrated imo
@@alecg.5638 I think that's because the horrible PC port took all the shine when it was released. People couldn't discuss this game without bringing it up. It's still brought up today
@@asguard1an873 But Arkham series set bars so high for super hero genre that we will have great superhero video games in future inspired by these fantastic Arkham games.
*5 years later and I STILL play Arkham Knight and all the other games for hours and hours. I don't get bored ever and on a new TV the graphics are still impressive!*
I still cant believe it's been ten whole years since the first game that started the series. You gotta admit, the Arkham series holds as one of the best video game series.
You forgot Batman: Arkham Blackgate - set 3 months after Origins Batman: Arkham Underworld - set before Asylum Batman: Arkham City Lockdown - set before City Batman: Arkham VR - set before Knight Also several tied-in comics, novels and an animated film.
& the Initiation DLC for Orgins, the A Matter of Family DLC for Knight, the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC for City, & finally the Nightwing, Red Hood, & Robin DLC also for Knight.
@@thebombspayloadisexposed It was a dream but it still happened in the story right before Arkham Knight. It was the beginning of the Joker manifestation within his mind
Arkham games are probably best games that I ever played, especially Arkham City. As a huge Batman and DC comics fan, I often know to replay them and always enjoy like I did first time.
So it's just a rumor but many suspect it to be the Azreal turned Batman because, in the comics there's also a knightfall protocol where Wayne fakes his death and Azreal takes over the mantle of Batman after proving himself. This version of batman actually uses fear gas on criminals to help him catch them and to give the legend of the batman a more scary approach.
The game leaves some decent hints as to what is the ending scene. Once you complete the Riddler quest, Batman informs Catwoman that they will never see each other again and that "he has to become something different, something more". Obviously the Knightfall Protocol is a reference to all the times Batman faked his death or was presumed dead in the comics. Using the fear toxin on the Scarecrow also shows "Nightmare Batman". So it's probably just Batman. Although the upcoming Gotham Knights game will explain it as "Batman is now just a symbol of fear and Gotham has 4 new defenders".
Rocksteady made Batman awesome and i have enjoyed every Batman game they have made ! 😃 You really felt like Batman with his stealth takedowns , Detective skills , combat skills and gadgets and the Batmobile .
It shows just how lacking developers are when using unreal engine, this was on 3 and we are due to get 5 next year, games should all look on parr with this or better by now.
He’s easy to make games about because he doesent really need to be nerfed that much not only that his personality and badass nature make him incredibly interesting to watch play and read also the Arkham games have done bits and boosted Batman’s image immensely
I don't know why Black Mask is portrayed like this, like some tragic character deprived from his game. He's really not an all that interesting character. I can guarantee that it was better to have Joker, it wouldn't have been as interesting with Black Mask instead. And the way Origins establishes the Batman and Joker relationship is arguably the best it's ever been done
I remember being so excited of the sionis industries / factories in Arkham City. Hoping to one day see black mask in an Arkham Game. Too bad he went the direction he did in this series.
@@alecg.5638 that's what I've been saying only thing Mask and Bats have in common is 1) Dead parents 2) And they're in each other's way How tf is that compelling And Arkham Origins is the origins of Arkham , which is bound to the Batman- Joker relationship
Slight correction near the end. Scarecrow doses Batman twice with the toxin in the old Asylum ruins. The first time, the fear toxin actually overpowers Batman, and Joker takes his place. The second dose however, actually targets Joker, not Batman, which in the end allows Batman to take back control in the never ending struggle of the Clown and the Bat.
It possible that in a future arkham game we will see the arkham version of Batman Who Laughs. I think the cards of this all set for his apparance. And i really like it.
For the next Batman game, I'd honestly like to see more of personal game where we experience more of Bruce Wayne's life and to also have a game that takes place over a few weeks instead of one night.

Haven't played Arkham Knight cause my pc can't yet run it properly. So I thought what goes to watch a short recap. After watching : Damn! I'm spoiled AF!
And now you'll be playing a new game, SOON. Batman left a recording for his closest allies in Gotham to take up the work he's left behind. Robin, Night Wing, Bat Girl, and the man who can't stop shooting his pistols into the villains of Gotham team up to continue the old crusader's work. Meanwhile there will also be another game for the Suicide Squad also coming. Next year will be the year of Batman's world left in the wake of his proclaimed end.
The Batman Arkham Trilogy along with Origins are some of my all time favorite games, nailed the feeling of being Batman, the atmosphere, gameplay, story all top notch, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill stole the show as Batman and Joker, it felt like reliving the animated series 🦇
Playing the game in-order start by: -Batman Arkham Origin -Batman Arkham asylum or Batman Return To Arkham Asylum(between playing the original or remastered) -Batman Arkham City or Batman Return To Arkham City(between playing the original or remastered) -Batman Arkham knight -Batman Gotham Knight(I know it’s 2021 the game released) Editor’s Note:I like how the origin model on catwoman and joker
4:15 there are three versions of the scene. It's either bane, scarecrow or killer croc's hand you will see. I haven't seen how you get either of these scenes on different playthroughs.
I’ll never get how Batman still got infected with the Joker Blood, didn’t he get the cure last game? It’s pretty clear Paul Dini wasn’t on board with Knight
He switched to marvel after city and he didn't have plans for Harley Quinn's revenge or Arkham tank, matter fact he did no know rocksteady was going to make a third game, once joker died that was it for him.
Here's my thoughts on what Arkham games are better and why. 1. Batman Arkham City - Amazing theatrical boss fights, great combat, amazing side missions (especially the Hush one that gives you a build up for something greater) and a great and surprising story. 2. Batman Arkham Asylum - Arkham Asylum gets points for having theatrical boss fights also, intriguing moments that catch you off guard (the scarecrow missions) and of course having the area of location being Arkham Asylum is a big plus for me as I love a game that allows you to explore the area that holds Batman's most insane and powerful villains. 3. Batman Arkham Origins - Arkham origins may not have had the best of detail in graphics but it made up for it in it's boss fights being something that would bring amazement to me and would excite me for the next boss fight I'd come across. It was also the first Batman game to have a multiplayer PvP which was kinda a plus for me. My only real issue with it was that Joker had to be the main antagonist......Again. 4. Batman Arkham Knight - Now Arkham Knight's graphic details in design and the animation is astonishing (And even a thing ahead of it's time), but the story was a meh for me due to the mystery of the Arkham Knight being immediately solvable (even if you don't watch the trailers) upon first meeting him (as his behaviour and way he talks just reminded me of Jason Todd), Scarecrow is an interesting choice and it was exciting to think about what horror he would bring across Gotham. But the only horror that you experience as Batman is the fear of becoming the Joker from the blood sample in Arkham City (But they should've really steered away from using the Joker again and just left him dead and out of the game entirely except for mentions of him and the impact his death had, that impact being a positive one to put Batman in a bit of conflict). The most interesting side missions for the game was the Mr Pig mission and the ManBat mission as the other side missions didn't really bring much to the table in terms of story or the conclusion fight to them (And I'm sure we can all agree that the Deathstroke and Hush side missions were the most disappointing in the game). The actual game's boss fights were also a disappointment due to not even being a challenge or even theatrical much at all honestly (The Arkham Knight boss fight was built up like mad but was literally just sneaking about while he had a sniper rather than using all of his skills to take on Batman and make it difficult for that reason). And for my final issue with the game, the Batmobile is far too relied upon. It is literally used for practically the whole game and there's no changing it. I can let the combat moments slide but c'mon.......The Riddler race courses......Why would Riddler make a race course and why was there no real threat if you didn't beat the course without fail (As you can just keep going at it again, and again and again even if you fall off or don't finish the race in time. It just doesn't seem like something the Riddler would go through the trouble to make and it was just to get an idea of the schematics towards the Batmobile to make a mech suit). Personally to me the Arkham Knight game's only plus was the graphics and the combat, other than that it is a complete flop despite having so much potential and doing nothing with that potential. Now again this is just my thoughts and not a genuine fact but due feel free to debate or converse with me on what you feel.....But don't be offended by me not having a preference the Arkham Knight.
The Arkham Series is an adaptation of the original plot of the video game Batman: Dark Tomorrow, fleshed out over the first three games of the series; Origins, Asylum, and City.
despite the negativity Arkham Origins gets at times, i really enjoy that game, the boss battles were sick especially the last Bane boss battle. very underrated game imo.
I think it gets hate from the experience at release on pc. It was a very bad optimized port or something. I played it a couple months back and had no complaints at all
I remember after Arkham Knight came out and they said it would be the last batman game and I said “give it a few years there will be another” well here we are a few years later. Can’t wait till the official announcement this sat!!
The Arkham series is the video game genre's Nolan trilogy, the games are so damn epic...(Yes I'm talking about Origins too since it's very much part of the series)
