Whippet was so gentle with the non-verbal gentleman. It may have been unfamiliar territory for him but he was so gentle and patient with him, offered water and some clothes, such a sweet guy!❤
My sons classed as non verbal/ non communicative. And seeing Whippet react like that makes me feel that little bit better about the world my little boy is in
I have autism and sometimes when I’m overwhelmed I go nonverbal, can confirm 100% that if someone talked to me like that it would calm me right down. He was very understanding.
I loved that when the man wouldn't put the shorts on, Whippet's instinct was to show him what he wanted the man to do. He might not have the thecnical knowledge of how to deal with someone who is nonverbal but he had the patience and compassion to figure it out.
I love how the first two are having some fairy tale adventure and are happy even though they lost their stuff but the one is still looking out for his friend

@@tkralva.6668 Which is why emergency medical care should be free. Imagine someone going home and dying for the price of an A&E visit *smh*. I'm surprised they let him go, lifeguards here would have just called the cops.
@@engineeringvision9507 i don't know ware you live but here in Ontario Canada the life guards can call the cops all they want it wont do anything because if someone doesn't want to go to the hospital you can't force them
@@alliellioxenfree I live in Ontario Canada. The cops would be considered to be illegally detaining him. That would get the cops in trouble. Technically speaking, non-residents of Canada have to pay for their healthcare but when my Nan was visiting and didn't have health coverage, she needed emergency care and refused to go for a week. I managed to get her into the ER via coercion on my part (not proud of it) and the ER was really good with her. Stubborn as an ox, but they agreed her medical care couldn't wait until she got home and they helped her.
I moved to Sydney recently from the US. Was taking a walk at Bondi and saw some of you knocking off. So if you heard some mysterious squealing, that was me fangirling. 😅😅😅 My partner told me to go up and say hello but I didn’t want to bother you all off the clock. But yeah, maybe next time I’ll have more courage to say hello.

@@oljenka88exactly! It's not even expensive. Last time I got travel insurance for a trip it was like £30, way better than spending hundreds if something actually goes wrong

Here in America we pay hundreds of dollars a MONTH and still get slapped with a massive bill, let alone if you need an ambulance!! It's 20-50K if you need a helicopter! America really is a third-world country with pretty clothes.
@@reality1701 yep! This is just travel insurance though. But it covers a ridiculous amount of medical expenses. Here the only medical things you'll pay for the vast majority of the time is prescriptions (capped at maximum £9 per prescription)
thats called a health-care-system and is normal almost everywhere else but usa. i can only speak for germany but we dont pay for an ambulance or a hospital stay or a checkup at the doc. @@reality1701
These people don't know how lucky they are. I live in quebec, its currently-20°C(-4°F). I just wished i was born close to a beach like this... just like a dreamplace.
Actually in New Zealand on the East coast I lived in Gisborne and the water had been receding slowly out to sea for hours it actually was significantly noticable you could sea the shore appearing out of the water then later in the afternoon the water started coming in like a big tidal surge water was starting to travel up the river rapidly so definitely scary stuff
That chinese guy might have an iron deficiency , im a dancer which means i do heavy physical activity everyday for over 15 years now and a couple years i started noticing my muscles couldn't perform to their full capacity like it wasnt that they werent capable of more but they seemed like they were just turned off in a way . When i did some blood test turns out i was really close to even needing a blood transfusion because my iron levels were so low , treated it im back to being healthy and all my muscles are at full caoacity but really the time where i eas down it really felt like being dead
Bondi is one of the most dangerous beaches is Australia, and if it's a first time swim or your not a strong swimmer or can't swim either stay close to the shore, or please don't go in at all, it changes very quickly. 😬
I believe the first boy who was unable to swim was on the spectrum because of his struggle to get on the board and when he sat in the sand he was rubbing it and people on the spectrum do that for sensory. I think the lifeguard did great. !!!!
As a person on the spectrum i am attracted to the water and i do rub my body in a similar way when over stimulated or just vibing. And i could tell a bit that he could be but didn’t want to look too into it
That was my first thought too, then when he turned around to head back to the water, his trunks were inside out... That confirmed it. My daughter and I, both are on the spectrum. In Asia it's frowned upon and there's not much help for the kids or adults.

Well, it's a common sense rule. If you don't wanna die, wear a helmet. You saw the other competitors wearing safty gear as they should. Experience means nothing to gravity and solid objects.

as a person whos been to a beach in hawaii i was also getting better at stand up paddle boarding then the thing flipped and got me straight in the gut it wasnt pleasant
I used to watch this show all the time until they hit season 15 and you had to pay to watch it which stinks, I'm in NYC and we don't have access to channels overseas to watch online without paying- i miss watching Bondi! 😞
I would love to come to bondi beach and for some reason want to see an episode like an accident or something like that you know but it looks like a really nice beach and somehow experiences EVERYTHING
Chile and it's majestic amazing earthquakes. I was like...14 when that happened, and it was really sad, dozens of people died. Was really sad. And yes, we had a tsunami.
Btw I found infuriating people who said they weren't afraid. Here in Chile, if the authorities say the word "tsunami" everyone goes far away from the coasts.
I had a fall at home. Turns out I ended up with a burst fracture of my T12 and needed 10 Staples in my head. And at the time when I was faced down in the garden I just asked my daughter to get a bucket of water and pour it on my head and tell me how bad it was! It was pretty bad. I guess I was in denial.

7:00 if only there was an item that you could put on your head to stop it hitting the concrete, someone needs to design a piece of clothing that protects the head we could call it a "Helpmat" or something similar.
I can understand why the lifefuards aren't given the powers to arrest people, but why aren't they given the powers to clear the beach if they need to? Isn't that part of water safety? Especially if they have tsunami warnings.
They are so lucky it didn't happen. So many people stayed there and with kids! Haven't these people seen what a tsunami looks like and how fast you die? 🙃
