Hi there, and we appreciate the listen! First off, thank you for mentioning that. To be honest, before I realized this was going to take off, when I did these it was unscripted and off the top of my head; I didn't always perform my due diligence, and with all the games I play/played, sometimes they got mixed in my head. Eventually I'll be revising my initial recordings with the higher audio quality... And more importantly, scripting... techniques that we now all use.

@@TheBotchPit it's fine man. These Beginner Guide videos are good videos and I enjoyed watching them, it just happens to be the case that I'm a huge Vampire the Requiem nerd (even more so than Vampire the Masquerade) so I couldn't help but notice and point out that one mistake. That being said, I think if you did more research and made longer, more in-depth videos, including the history of the clans and covenants, etc. this would be even better. Everyone can simply look up the basic info you gave here on the White Wolf wiki, or the 1d4chan wiki, but the actual history of vampire society is not something I see described very often, which is a shame because I think Vampire the Requiem has some very interesting lore that I rarely see people touch upon.

@@SaucyJack88 I've actually been quietly collecting a ton of Requiem books, including "Fall of the Cammarilla" and the like, and I will definitely be digging into Requiem deeper... especially as these days I see to prefer it to Masquerade a bit. Sacrilege, I know.

And all the genius of the Requiem is that Blood Potency goes UP with time passing by and diablerie, but goes DOWN during torpor, wich has three interestings effects : -it makes elders vulnerable instead of walking invicible gods. -it makes every vampire governement cyclical. -it allow a very powerfull vampire (i.e that NEED to feed upon vampire) to go back to an easier diet.

Oh man, that is going to be one paranoid, integrity losing Hunter. Lol Just remember that everything that seems routine to the supernatural, no matter how mundane, exposes Hunters to constant integrity loss. Nick played the one Hunter in a zoo Chronicle. Started off a gifted scientist. Ended with one arm gone, a finger and knuckle gone from the other and the voice of her dead daddy in her head, driving her down Slasher lane with an integrity of 2, I believe. Fun though!

Anthony Cashaw Well, the Masquerade is just the term they use to describe their night to night unlives among the living, how they mold into culture, fashion, etc. So really, if they didn’t want to “participate”, their only two full options are going full hermit (be it in the woods, mountains, sewers, etc) or well... just start murdering mortals without a care in the world, which would end up with them very dead by their own kind very quickly.

The Requiem vampires do have a Masquerade. The Masquerade was invented by the Camarilla in Ancient Rome, but in this setting the Camarilla fell apart when the Roman Empire fell apart. Tonight, the Masquerade is enforced by the Invictus, the vampire illuminati, similar to the Camarilla but less powerful in vampire society, yet more powerful in human society.

@@SaucyJack88 I don't know... I always thought that requiem was half hassed when it came to lore... Yeah I know that it is supposed to be vague but eh...

Man, there's a metric ass-ton of bloodlines, but I'm not sure about clans... I assume there HAS to be more than five in 2E. I'll get around to that soon enough as well. And yes, the Seven are definitely playable. Something I'll also touch upon eventually.

@@TheBotchPit Something in depth about the covenants. I think that there Are a lot of nuances in each, and every st could choose to Explore different aspects. An overview of this is Something I would watch and share.

Do you mean one video digging into all the covenants, or perhaps more specific and longer on specific ones?

Already gotten one since then! The quality is more like the Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, except for the mortal guides Nick does, which have always been good... it was my old Mic and lack of skill. Lol
