EPISODE 9 - The Bell 206 Jetranger Is the Best and Easiest #PrivateHelicopter to Keep Keep At Your House. (Overview)
In this overview of the Jetranger we look at why the Bell 206 (also known as the 206A, 206B or TH-57) is one of the most reliable and successful helicopter of all time. It also happens to be my pick, for the being the best suited helicopter to be able to easily keep and use from your house (or hopefully your #Mansion :P). It has had many different models over the years and check out this video for more information if this helicopter. Enjoy!

Thanks for that....Love the Jetranger... spent many hours in one as a crew member since 1982. Worked in other machines (AS350s and Hughes 500s) but always loved coming back to the Jetranger ....for some unknown reason.

I consider that is very useful to keep your helicopter in your house for an emergency or national disaster. If you can afford to buy an helicopter, its means the you know how to follow protocols.

Bell is actively making strides to make the 206 B & L disappear. Lead time on parts are incredibly mind blowing. It is Bell trying to make one of the best designed and most sought after airframes obsolete. You mentioned in this video the newest bell models, the 505 and 429, both are a trainwreck, enduring many hours in the shop (AOG). Turbomeca was and is the wrong direction but Bell will shove its data down your throat till you agree and you have to pony up for thousands... It is a Damn shame a manufacturer will sell off the OH-58, then disregard one of its best platforms only to push it's new designs. Did Bell ever contact anyone out there that operates the 206 series? NO... The only way the 206 will survive to fly another 50 years is trust in structural repair stations that only repair the 206, (not Bell service stations) I had my 206B3 repaired structurally by a small repair station UK Aero, they fixed every problem and then some, stay with the 206

The 206 was the safest Single Engine A/C , period. Working in The GOM for decades 100- 150 hrs / month were the rule. Professional y maintenance and pilots, high usage rate etc. Made this the reality. It is my understanding that Phi operated close to 200 at one time. I personally heard Bob Suggs say that the 206 was the reason Phi was so successful, the 212s etc he operated because the customers wanted them

@@irisaviation852 I like the two seat configuration and the two main rotor blades. The Zefhir is a design concept hybrid between a Bell 206BIII and Robinson R66, except just with two seats. I'm reminded of the Porsche commercial for their two seaters, ... "The more people you have in your family, the more you need just two seats!"

I think I got confused with the rotorway turbine. It looks ok, nothing wrong with two seats.

@@irisaviation852 Huge difference between the Rotorway and Zefhir! ... I definitely shy away from the Rotorway tail rotor drive belts. I've had too many tail rotor drive belts fail on RC model helicopters. I'm definitely a tail rotor drive shaft guy!

As much as I love the 206. I will have to add one major point into this. It depends where you live. One thing about the 206 is its stupid loud around mechanical structures. Heck its stupid loud anyway. You can not fly this day in day out to your house unless your neighbours are a long distance away really. I would say the R44 still would be much more practical for private home use.
