Many are familiar with the concept of intermittent fasting. Skipping even one meal counts as an intermittent fast. However, are there benefits to prolonged fasting (not eating for 2+ days)? Down -10kg in 45 days so far. I have improved all my PRs in the gym, which I consider to have resulted in minimal or no loss of muscle mass. I am doing a combination of fasting protocols, but the caloric deficit is only coming from periods of fasting that I try to combine very well with protein intake and strength training. Maintaining a carnivore diet has helped with the amount of protein and the state of ketosis, maximizing the effects of fasting.

Good video. thank you. I'm currently on day 4 of my fast. Viewing lots of fasting videos to keep myself motivated :) Having fasted many, many times and as someone who also works in natural medicine, may I suggest that you try a longer fast as and when you feel inspired - the sleep issues are likely to dissipate after day 3-4. I get a lot of benefits from short fasts of 1-3 days but the benefits from day 4 onwards are exponentially higher IMO. thanks again.
