Hey guys! We're back yet again with another Cook & Review video, and this time our meal takes the throne for the best freeze dried backpacking meal I've ever tried. This is the Cauliflower Forest Chicken Risotto by RightOnTrek and it is absolutely amazing. I was hesitant to try this one, but after eating it I'm pretty thrilled with my decision to do so.

Wow, cauliflower forest chicken risotto for dinner. That is 5 star dining out on the trails for sure! Hehehehehe, my guess is the floaties were the secret ingredient that pushed the meal over the top!!! That looked as good as the scenery behind you!!! Big Yum! Do you happen to know the shelf life? I think that would be a great meal for my kits. It would beat the pants off the MREs I currently have. 😊 Cool such a great company is in your neck of the woods!!! Hopefully they will be a sponsor to the channel. You make a great spokesperson!!! BTW: That looks like the wooden spoon my grandmother used to make sure I behaved when I was a kid. It's absolutely 5 Star Dining! I was honestly so surprised how good this one was. Haha the floats were just there for extra nutrition in the form of protein!! Hmm.. I don't know the shelf life off the top of my head, but I'll check out my other meal by them and report back :) I'm sure an Uncrustable PB&J would beat most MREs! Unfortunately they are not open to sponsoring the channel at this time (I tried). They said they were still small and would work on creating something like that in the future. We'll see! Ahh the ol' wooden spoon! I actually hand carved that last year out of some cherry wood! It's great for bear and mountain lion defense. Thanks for checking out this video man! Yeah that's the only downside to these meals. So far the two meals have been top notch in my opinion when it comes to flavor, but the cleanup takes away from that a bit. If you try it you'll have to let me know what you think!
