Using the husquvarna 592xp chainsaw with a 36 inch bar to cut down a large trunk. due to limited drop zone we had to cut and drop it in fairly small chunks. this saw is my favourite large saw, due to its power to size ratio, the feel of it in the hands and the beautiful notes it makes as it hits the rev limiter.

Its a powerful saw, probably best stock 90cc saw atm, but after a few hundred hours of runtime 3 main issues seem to occur. Biggest issue, the inner dog crankcase support is very likely to crack and break off. 2nd issue, the top cover seems to eat through the top part of the crankcase with vibration (annoying issue, you need to glue rubber on the inside of it from brand new to stop this from happening, and I don't see it happen on any other saw with flimsy top covers, not even on 500i). 3rd issue is the sprocket cover which seems to also be weak/thin and cracks easily.

Don’t over do it on the ratchet. If you damage it with a leaver you may not know until it lets go . Everything has a limit right . 👍🏻

I have a prototype fishing pole thingy I was sent by a company. It clips to a bucket & has a reel on it so you can throw & wrap up the throwball string. Got it from a company called Luke's Floor (when they were working with treestuff)

Wrap a speedline strap thru your wedge loop & connect to you saddle so if it drops you still have it. I have a wedge on a retractable leash

Very nice. That’s my next saw. Trying to save for it.

watch out for the extremely fragile crankcase, they break at the dog spike mount, pretty poor design and construction. I wouldn't buy one

And the chain tensioner! We have sheared two off at work. Very weak

I have a 661 bored, dished, straight piped. I have never run the husky. Would you put it up there with mine.

@@treeclimberharry582 Yeah ... I get that. I like wraparound on everything but top handles. Might be because I was a faller for years before I was a climber and it's just natural for me, but I can see how you'd might prefer it the other way round... I've always preferred Huskies, even tho I do run Stihls...

For sure man, 592 is my daily driver. Had the 661, I’d rather have the husky 🪵 🪓
