Best video for my area. I live in south Texas where the FAA requires the bugs to have tail numbers because they are so big. Im going to give this stuff a shot.

Here in Florida, the bugs flip off the FAA. They carry assault weapons and wear masks as they jack your car. And, if they're mosquitos, you had best offer up your youngest as a blood sacrifice. If you refuse, they call in their hired armies....the Love Bugs!

I have used Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover for years, maybe even decades. My experience with tar has been great. I even used it to remove spray paint from my driver door when it got tagged by a local gang when I was living in CA. It's good stuff.

I had major doubts about this. But after many different attempts to remove 5K miles of Interstate bug death, nothing worked. Pressure washer, ran through automated car washes, power foam wash, hand wash, hand wax, machine wax.... insane! The bug death just became part of my car's paint scheme. After I watch this, I really had nothing else to lose. I tried this stuff. I'm still in complete amazement! Just like your video, spray it directly on area(s), let it sit and soak for 1-2 minutes, came back with cloth towel and moderately scrubbed. Wow! Glad I found your video!

I can understand why the Armor All hate but never really understood any hate towards the little Turtle. Kind of like Subway - there's much better sub shops out there for sure but you can get a decent sandwich at Subway... I'm also not a pro - so if there is a better product at a price that the pro's can buy at then I could certainly be missing out. A gallon of car wash will probably last me half the year for my 3 cars.... As always Scott - great content and entertaining for sure!

Hey Scott, I’m a newer subscriber, been watching your videos for about a week. Just wanted to share another tip about the TW B&T Remover with you and your viewers. I’m not sure if you come across PlastiDip very often, and more specifically, removing it. When it’s been applied improperly or been on a surface for an extended period of time, it becomes extremely difficult to remove. Well, Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover works GREAT for that. Spray it on, let it dwell for 5 min, and spray it with a pressure washer, and it just erases the stuff. It dissolves the hydrocarbons in the PlastiDip like they were never there, it’s great stuff, and clear coat safe.
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343
great tip since plastidip looks so bad on cars:)

Thank you. I'm gonna try this. I have a white 2017 Hyundai Sonata. Took it to the Steelers and Packers pregame here in Wisconsin. After driving back I noticed plenty of dried up bug guts on the front of the car. I took it to the drive through car wash which usually gets my car very clean but it didn't get the bug guts off. I'm going to be picking up or ordering a few bottles of that turtle stuff. Thanks again.

My 17 F250 just did a round trip from chicago to iowa city. I think it went through all of chewbacca's fur and insects on the trip as well as his relatives. When I got home the following morning I used the Griots product and sprayed the front and mirrors then hooked up my 1000psi pressure washer while it soaked in. It foams a little on contact and didn't fall off instantly. I just used the pressure washer and it all came off to my surprise! My truck has less small parts than the gm truck in the vid but was very pleased with the product and was done in 20 mins. Just sharing my experience :-)

Scott, Thank you again for one of the most informative videos on RU-vid regarding bug-guts removal. Your frankness and candor is much appreciated. Although I am almost 99.9% sure some of the companies out there (no names being mentioned) of higher end car detailing products MAY not like your reviews. Well, shame on them anyway for charging FAR FAR FAR too much for their products and getting rich off of the everyday person out here in the real world. It's about time we all rise up and say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH", we aren't paying these prices anymore when we can find a product that works exceptionally well for about one tenth the price some of these companies with fancy bottles and catchy names charge for a product that does the same thing as a product that cost $1 does. If we don't use their products, they have two options, go out of business, OR, reduce your costs to a reasonable and acceptable price point that better reflects what you paid to develop the product and still give you a REASONABLE profit. You see the key point here, REASONABLE. Some of these companies make an INCREDIBLE amount of profit and charge FAR FAR FAR too much compared to what they pay to develop, package, and retail their product. Scott, your reviews are very much appreciated by the "masses" of people all across the world. Us normal folks who don't have the kind of money that some people may have but still have a passion for auto detailing. I very much have a passion, but I don't have the expendable funds to purchase all the products I would absolutely love to purchase for detailing my vehicles. I'm a normal working human whose money must go to living expenses first and "want" expenses at the very very end. However, I have found that by watching your videos, I can actually detail my vehicles with more reasonably priced products found at my local auto parts stores or WalMart/Target, etc. which is great. I'm not saying that some of the more expensive products aren't a better product, maybe they are, but it's just a really nice option to have when you bring to light more reasonably priced products out there that do the exact same thing as the more expensive products, sometimes even far better, for WAY LESS! Keep the videos coming Scott, you are without a doubt one of the best reviewers of Auto Detailing products and techniques on RU-vid today and you have MANY fans out here who respect you for your candor. Thank you Scott, I will be at my local WalMart tomorrow morning picking up a couple of cans of this product for use on my bug grime. Turtle Wax has come a long way.....a few of their other new products are actually worth trying as well. They actually work REALLY WELL at a reasonable price point.

Another product from Turtle Wax that really works well is their Label and Sticker remover. I had a dealer sticker that was coming off so I peeled it off which left the adhesive behind. I bought TW because it was cheap. It worked great. That's not the whole story though. A friend has a daily driver that had a dealer installed clear bra on the front. The clear bra was older and cracked and needed to be remove. After he peeled off all of the pieces, there was a lot of adhesive left behind. He tried a couple of removers but they didn't work. He mentioned this to me at work and I told him that I had a barely used can of TW that I would let him have to try. He sent me a text message excited about how well the TW worked. He removed all of the adhesive with it and still returned the can with a good amount of product left. Just thought I'd mention that I'm a fan of your videos and the friend that borrowed the TW is the guy who turned me on to your RU-vid channel.

Scott. Great idea and thanks. This foam in a can reminds me of armor alls foaming car wash in a can product. I am wondering if these two perform similar to one another. But I am sure there is a key in formulation that is key to soften up and remove bug jerky. I am justqueasy if TW bug remover harms the paint like a caustic or apc cleaner.

Thanks for the review Scott. Whether professional detailers like it or not, some TW products outperform their competition - and costs 2x - 3x less as you indicated. So why not use it right!? Case in point -> TW Wash & Dry is an EXCELLENT drying aid and leaves behind an incredibly durable and hydrophobic surface. It's a $ 5.99 spray wax that outperforms products that cost MUCH more. I know, I've used at least 50 different sprays waxes and TW Wash & Dry I would rank up their in the top 5 for sure.

Here's a cheap method that works great... Dryer sheets. That's right, dryer sheets. Go buy $1 box of dryer sheets, dunk it in your soapy water, and gently scrub (no harder than regular mit washing pressure) and the bugs and guts peel right off. Then simply wash the area with a mit to remove the fabric softener residue. This seriously does work!
