F4U-7 Corsair is french naval fighter in war thunder. It is known for it's ability to take 114 SNEB type 23 rockets into battles and provide better close air support than any other plane of similar battle rating. In gameplay these rockets are shown and planes characteristics explained.

@@LaserTractor tiny Tim’s are not made for tanks so they are so much more inaccurate then normal rockets that’s why they are made for navel battles not tank battles

And you know the funny thing? That plane was also tested with 6x underwing AS.11 missiles. (At which point they found the pilot got a bit too overloaded). But well, 6 ATGMs on a prop plane... :D

except this version was literally only made for and used by the French air force. The rocket pods are French.

@@lsq7833 America extensively used the AU-1 in the Korean War, which is an F4U-7 with some more armor and a different engine. Doubt we'll ever have that added to the game though

This Plane with 114 SNEBS is one of the best "starter" plane for Simulator EC too (to farm Spawnpoints). For RB i also like the 10x100kg, if i know that i ll encounter planes - but the SNEBS are by far the most effective

For those of those wondering, when he says the rockets are designed to "create a jet" he means that the rockets are shaped charge rockets, meaning the explosion is not what causes the damage (some shaped charges do work that way but not these) the explosion turns a metal cone inside out, which is called an inverse jet and propels it at massive speed into the target, these are hella destructive, they are in things like rpgs, panzerfausts, and are very interesting to look into, if you've ever seen fury, spoiler alert btw, when the loader dies it is because the "inverse jet" gets him in the torso

@@footchess387 Fury is a good movie, but thats it. its riddled with so many historical inaccuracies that kind of can ruin the experience if you know about them. When i watch it, i try and turn of my brain and just enjoy it for what it is.

French are the least reversers, brits reversed first in 1940, and best ace record for allies since ww1 is French (René Fonck 127 kills claimed, 75 kills credited)

Review FW-190 F-8! The best FW-190 if it comes to destroying ground targets. 30mm cannons with 95mm of pen? 14 rockets 180mm of pen? 1000kg bomb allowing to kill both enemy tanks and planes? Up to 8 smaller bombs? All of those options while still being a pretty good fighter? It's amazing. Also it has 25mm penning AP-I and 19mm penning APHE shells for its cannons (Stealth ammo of course), to take care of lightly armored stuff.

3 years later and this plane still slaps. i just got it and unlocked the snebs in air sim, played a few matches in ground rb and got 8 ground kills and 3 air kills. awesome plane

@Bruh Can we maybe get a bomber that is not just canonfooder for the DO 335? Oh maybe, well I dont know, The B-26? You know that one medium bomber which was a extremely segnificant part of WW2 and of which over 5000 units were produced untill the end of WW2? Nah instead gaijin gives us OP axis prototypes that never saw combat (Like the already mentioned DO 335). Also funny how the onely P-47 that actualy climbs well is a premium. I mean how can that happen?

I like this plane too, great video. Why would you use stealth belt for AN/M3 cannons though? With Universal or Air targets belt you have high penetration AP-T which can penetrate many tanks from the top at this br.

It has 114 SENB rockets, he doesn't need the AN/M3 for armored vehicles. He's probably using stealth for when he has to engage an air target.

I have a keen love for this plane's maneuverability in air rb; however, with SNEB equipped, it does lack in this department. Head oning is the safest option tbh, and it is quite easy as AN/M3 canons are the best 20mm canons you will find on a prop plane.
