The Best Cheap Crossbow 

Yeah they work very well, don't think I've ever had a crossbow prod wear out.

Weaponsandstuff93 Didn’t realize I made a comment 2 years ago! I’ve been watching your channel like mad. Just purchased the Man Kung 150# crossbow a week ago. VERY similar to the one in this video. I’m really impressed on how easy the assembly was. Stringing it was a bit difficult, but I make and sell bows so i’m used to stringing heavy archery equipment. The trigger on mine is snug-fit. I lightly oiled the rail with mineral oil, and heavily waxed the bowstring. What is a good brace height for a crossbow like this? I have about a 10 inch power stroke right now. The bow is a little heavy. To bad the U.K. laws are harsh on archery hunting. I plan on taking this crossbow hog hunting. Hogs in the U.S. are a problematic species and destroy crops. Makes for a tasty bbq sandwich. Within 20 yards with a heavy bolt and sharp broadhead, i’m almost certain this crossbow is capable of taking game of that size. I just need to dial in the sights.

+WeaponCollector Thanks, get a lot of comments asking me on what crossbow I'd actually recommend out of all the ones I have so it's easier just to do a video really, the Jandao is probably a better crossbow at the similar price range £110 normally, but it's a lot less user friendly so I wouldn't recommend it as a first crossbow for that reason.

+Butty Bach Yeah I really like that it has the standard 20mm rail for mounting scopes etc and that you can switch the limbs out, I know there are other crossbows that let you do that but the Jaguar/Firecat type setups are nice and robust.

You could probably make your own prod brace to do it, my older crossbows don't even have that part, just a rubber block.

Very possible. I was thinking about making one from wood, may still do it. Same here with my old Wildcat (Panzer 1 I think it was called, all metal stock) no plastic cup just a rubber pad at the rear.

Yeah the only purpose to that part is to make the prod sit a bit further away from the rail, to increase the power by adding an extra inch or so to the draw distance and to cushion the prod against the metal.

If you live in a nation where bow hunting is legal it would be fine, you'd need broadheads, it's not the bolts themselves but the head that's important for hunting.
