As a chipotle worker, we've had people film us a lot recently its kinda creepy There is no conspiracy, nobody was told to do extra portions for people filming and typically they get mad at us for going over

having worked in the food industry before, if you straight up tell whoever is handling ur food that you're starving, and you'd appreciate larger portions, they'll give you the max they can get you without getting in trouble 9/10 times, you don't need to film them and pressure them

When I worked in fast food I would always give as many toppings as possible, mostly for the customer but also because I wanted my boss to lose as much money as possible

i worked at qdoba and atrioc is right u need to hit them mid rush for the freshest food, hit them up late at night and u get the lukewarm table scraps. but the night shift gets s**t on alot so they dont give a f about what the dayshift has to say about food cost or other bs, when i left a year and a half ago they were riding us so hard about cheese and meat and sour cream. dont harras your local stores they can and will deny you service, simply express your displeasure someway to the higher ups and stop shopping there until the issue is resolved. a big issue w this problem is that we didnt care about how little or much we gave people we just made them happy. and over portioned often. now to get food cost back we actully give normal if not slightly less of everything just to keep up w last years sales.

i used to work fast food and what people don’t understand is that if you just ask nicely for a larger portion, most of the time they will happily do it (so long as no manager is watching). the workers are getting payed minimum wage and it makes no difference to them how much the store profits

Costco uses the Kirkland brand dogs so I don’t think they could decrease the quality without making their own product worse. The change from using another supplier to their own dogs is also what allowed them to keep the price the same for so long.

As a chipotle manager, if you come right before we close you get what we have I don’t ever let someone come late to try and get extra food, you coming late makes everyone in the store stay later.

Costco owns the entire chain for the hot dogs though so it's probably not worth it for them as a company to shrinkflation it as they'll barely be getting any additional savings. Also the founder of Costco literally threatened to kill the current CEO when he suggested raising the prices of the hot dogs which is why they now own the entire supply chain so they don't make losses on it.

I do like the doritos locos taco.. But I have never had anything nastier in my life than the Cheez-its pizza pocket at Pizza Hut, so I can't imagine that taco bell made it good. Moisture just does not mix with Cheez-its at all!

Qdoba is where it's at. Burritos are huge and they don't charge extra for guac or queso. Personally the Qdoba queso diablo is what keeps me going back. Shit is go good it's ridiculous. Most of the ingredients are alright at best, but specifically the queso diablo slaps harder than my dad. The regular queso isn't that good though

I hate to say this, but chipotle gave me uncooked rock hard rice twice, a week a part. At least I always got Hot Head burrito as my backup.

Panda Express corporate is literally paying a company to test the drive throughs and weigh the food out because of the small portion sizes..... Bro it's 5oz for the meats, 6 or 7 shrimp just give the people bigger portions In the reports even the people they pay to survey say the portions are small. The biggest problem isn't portions size, it's ingredient quality. I went to the first chipotle when it opened, and it was a game changer for fast food. Modern chipotle makes me sick, I avoid it entirely.

As someone who used to work for chipotle, there is no conspiracy. We are told to give a certain amount of food and to always give more if they ask for more. If you want 2 scoops of rice and beans just ask and we will get it for you for no charge! My advice if you want to get the most is: 1) get a bowl and fill it up with as many toppings as you want (you can even ask for double rice and they normally won’t charge you) 2)if you want a burrito, just make a massive bowl without additives (guacamole, queso blanco, extra meat, etc.) and just order a side tortilla for 50 cents to roll it yourself. Sometimes you can get enough for a good burrito and a good bowl 3) if you really want a burrito, please ask for it double wrapped 4) for the love of god just go inside the store. Ordering online I promise you your meal will be worse. Usually we put the fresh food to the line and the food that was previously on the line to the online area. Also you can see and make changes to your order if you order inside.
