/ Hey Guys, let's take a look at the Make Noise Pressure Points and Brains. These modules have been some of my most favorite recently. I'm not huge into performing live with my modular setup, but these really help me being a whole other aspect of live playing to my sets.

Having not seen a correction in the comments (sorry if I missed it), I though I should do it: Pressure Points does have a common pressure output. All unpatched pressure and gate outputs are normalled to the fourth pad's pressure and gate outputs. I think using the Brains overrides the gate normalization, hence the common gate output on the Brains module.

Thank you, the new set is really nice, makes me feel a lot less stuck in a corner and I can stand which I like. It’s easier to record in a set like his so I’m glad you like it!

It was!! I just looked back to the tweet from November, took a long time to make this happen, but I’m really happy with how it came out and really happy with the ways I found to use Pressure Points in my setup!

Noir Et Blanc Vie I’ve watched so many module synth videos and so many of them seem out of control. That can be a good thing too, but when I watched you play you were more deliberate and purposeful. I dug it.

Wonderful video. Had a PP and Brains for quite some time now, but it ended up getting replaced by the Meng Qi Voltage Memory. As to which one is better, think that comes down to the user ;) A kind suggestion; probably best not to refer to the knob outputs of the PP as "tuned" voltages, as people tend to think of tuned voltage as quantized voltages. The outputs of the PP are in fact unquantized, or in another sense "not tuned" as they can output any voltage between their minimum and maximum settings. All the best!

AHHH! Modular, the infinite hole! Great video for something so intimidating. As much as I've learned about synthesis over the years, and as little as I understand about my 0-coast, I think full modular would just take up to much of my time just trying to figure out what I would want or what I could need/use. Killer stuff, but I need to work on just producing tracks as is. Always enjoy your content either way though.

Looking at the ten million modules available is a huge part of the fun for me. Watching tons of RU-vid vids for each module. Going on modular grid and trying to build a rack like some sort of puzzle that will never be finished. It’s the time you put into research that will pay off in the end when you can feel confident about your purchases and get exactly what you want/need.

Sure it worked, great jam you got there and thanks for your kind words. If you feel like reshooting a vid just go with your gut feeling. Wasn't planning on buying some stuff this summer but bought a new Arp Odyssey (Korg) at a price I couldn't pass. Also got a two tier stand, so now the Subsequent and Odyssey is sort of my analogue corner :) The fun thing is that both the Sub and Odyssey have an input!!! So I can run either throught the other!!! Most fun for now is to play with sample & hold, if you can get a deal on an Odyssey check it out, first synth of Herbie Hancock.

0:09 classic headphone hair XD. That was a great performance though, really musical and could have been the whole video, but getting the patch break down was great as well. This format also really highlights how modules work together in a eurorack set up.

Global pressure output is the 4th gate pressure output. It's called "combined pressure output" in the manual.

Yes, you're absolutely right... but actually what I wanted to see this feature on Brains, not the pressure points module itself as I said. Say I wanted to use channel 4 as an individual pressure output and not the combined pressure output. Well you can't do this, at least, not anywhere I saw (Please though correct me if I'm wrong here). Hence why I said I would have liked to have seen this on the Brains module specifically.

I see what you mean now, sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm not in front of my rack at the moment, but I wished the outputs were just normalled "down" (I don't think they are, but I might be wrong), so plugging a cable in one output would remove it from the combined output (like the sum output on Maths). As for the need of having it separated, I guess it's a design issue: have pressure points stand by itself (brains-less) but allow simpler patching. But to be fair, I've yet to find myself in a spot where I was very annoyed by having the pressure output 4 to also include the other ones, so time to patch up! Looking forward your next videos!
