/ xrm150 If you use Facebook hit me up! This compilation is of the F-18 Super Hornet from various airshows that I have attended over the years. I hope you like it and please share it! Enjoy!
Huge fan of the F-22 Raptor, but I must say, this is my favorite fighter out of the whole slew! The F/A-18F (two seater is just menacing looking) with it's HUGE LERX and canted V-stabs and that smooth round-over radome and those killer straight wings makes it THE most beautiful aircraft flying the skies today!!! One of the coolest thing of that aircraft, to me, is those straight wings backed up by those steeply angled H-stabs and exactly dead center in the middle of those are the double canted vertical stabilizers. Their location being right in the middle really makes for the looks on that plane. The square intakes are much nicer looking than the round ones I think they did that design a huge service by making that change. The thrust on those F414's in that pull out of the dive @2:10 is insane!
Excellent camera work! I don't think most people realize how difficult it is to shoot video footage like this. To keep fast moving objects in frame and in focus is a challenge. This video tells me a lot about your level of experience and expertise. Well Done.
Truly an amazing aircraft and pilots. I''ve seen vids of the su-27 family of fighters and they are incredibly manuverable but from what I've seen on video and while I was active duty USAF our f15's f16's and f18's can do most of the same manuvers at higher speeds than the russian planes. The su27 type has to slow to below 230kts to do the famous cobra. I would think in a dog fight that would make a very easy target for the fighter on his 6oclock.
I have seen the regular hornet fly numerous times but the super hornet just managed somehow to be on static display and never fly at all of the airshows I've been to isn't that just crazy? Been to 10 military ones and seven civilian ones and it did actually make an appearance at the civilian air show that I went to one year in that year I got to touch it that was pretty cool getting to talk to the pilots and everything touched all over the plane in the only thing I did not do was get in the cockpit and take a ride the super hornet has the coolest feel of any jet I have touched and I also just like the design I have several toy models and I'm hoping that this year at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia I will get to see it fly
I checked out the website that you recommended to me and for some reason they don't have that event on their calendar so to check to make sure it was still going on I went to Oceana's website and they said that the show was still supposed to happen so I don't know what to think there I'm hoping that I'll be able to find out soon what all is going to be there because they said that they're going to be updating their website at the end of next month will I see you there?
+Alex Williamson. Send the site admin a msg about the airshow and they will add it if it's still going on. No that airshow is a little to far to drive to. :-(
So if you would like to see what you're going to miss check out my channel starting on August 1 and I will be announcing aircraft for two airshows because the first is happening at Smith Reynolds airport one week before the Oceana show Smith Reynolds airport is in Winston-Salem North Carolina and because of the fact that this years aircraft week is going to be so large aircraft for both shows will be announced live as the websites are updated is also going to be preshow entertainment such as a windup toy aircraft race video games including aircraft audio from past shows and live aircraft watch sessions aircraft watch is where we watch for any rehearsal displays that are happening I also have a small foam runway that I assemble every year for the show which includes all of the aircraft and this year the runway will be assembled one time but the aircraft will be changed as the shows happen
One thing I love about the hornet is it's slow speed maneuverability and how it handles really high angle of attack. That's what sets it apart from every other NATO aircraft in my opinion. I still think the Tomcat shouldn't have been fully retired but hey.
Ok well I politely disagree with it doing harm to the videos. All of my videos are filmed with a Sony Handycam HDR-10 (about 7 yrs old) so I really am just limited to what I have. I think the stabilizer is a great feature in RU-vid mainly because its free =). I tried using the stabilizer in Sony Vegas Pro 10 but it is either zooming in to much or not enough. The only complaint I have about the RU-vid stabilizer is that I can not select how much I want it to stabilize.
I've been to 17 airshows and I have yet to see that aircraft fly however now I think I understand why the blue Angels will not upgrade because one super hornet is deafening enough imagine six your video has shown me just how loud they are and I would say there close to F-15s and F-22's now used to be the F A-18 was always the quieter one although I haven't actually gotten the C1 flying person I did get the touch one on the ground in the pilots were awesome the only thing I didn't do is climb up inside the cockpit
17 airshows and never seen it fly?! Neither of the two, Hornet or Super Hornet or just the latter?! Wow, man, that is the most bizarre thing I've heard in a while. I, myself, have probably been to 12 airshows (and I thought I was an airshow buff lol) and I've seen mostly the Super Hornet fly in 11 of those. It wasn't until 2012 that the show included static displays only and no flight demo and the Tuhnderbirds flew the finale and not the Angels, so no Hornets of any kind that day and that was sad. But that being said, trust me my friend, it is HARDLY quieter! :D However, I must say that out of all the jets I've seen (not to toot my own horn but I've seen quite a few), I would say that the F-22 Raptor is THE LOUDEST of all! I used to think the F-4 had it on most and of course the F-15 is blistering, but the Raptor truly eclipses them all. As a matter of fact, going this weekend, bro! Yaaaaay! Quonset, RI! One of the best airshows on the East Coast. I'll fill you in after! :) Cheers.
Your welcome! Check out my Legacy Hornet Compilation ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-atrQnqUEDfk.html and Raptor Compilation ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_o7qKZdVDQo.html. I also have Mustang, A4, L-39 compilations on my channel as well. =)
Ah, yes, good point. Apologies for that, was a long day. I'd very much have to suggest not using it anymore, as it does cause some bits of motion sickness, makes the video look faked at points (I know it's not) and generally doesn't seem to help the comp of the video in any real way. Though short of a steady-cam, I'm not sure how you'd move forward with your videos. I do enjoy the video, don't get my wrong, it's just that stabilizer seems to do real harm to it. Wish I had more for you, sorry.
Also it does lose a little bit of quality but I think people would rather what a little lower quality video that is stable vs a little higher quality video that is shaky. I like being able to view the parts of the aircraft actually working rather than not seeing it at all. The best example of the pros and cons of the stabilizer would have to be the videos of the F-104 I have on my channel. watch?v=HS0xENa_aEc (without stabilizer) watch?v=gOwIdAXlgPg (with stabilizer) Which is better 2 u?
+Xrm150 quit scamming people as real footage! couldn't be more fake! you sir, or son, are deceiving people and that's just un american..... such a shame, that is the best fighter we have and your making a mockery out of it!
+Xrm150 no I cant. I live in the real adult world and don't play video games like you. my son however does and I see these same clips after missions. The perfect form, fake bright marker lights with no timing and digitized transitions, along with an "amazing" ability to stay focused throughout while zoomed in the whole time. did I forget to mention no panning to the ground for reference. shame on you, these people actually believe you filmed this. suppose you couldn't tell me where you filmed this and what your camera set up was with what lense and aso setting you were using?
You fool can't you see the flutter or buffering on the vertical stabilisers I have seen most fighter games and this is definitely not in game footage it's stupid to think this isn't real
The Canadian F/A-18 Will come too Georgia in October. Its too bad that Other Demo Teams Will Perform In The United States From Different Countries. And Not our Own.
Quokka57 worst comment ever, F-18 E super hornet is the 5th Generation of the Hornet everything Put in to this plane is boeing Enginers at work nothing to do with russians
Ощущение что фанерный и вот-вот развалится. Не понимаю восторженных воплей янки. Ему еще до Су-27 расти и расти по маневренности. Правда янкесы считают что на нем всех порвут, но мы то знаем истину ;)
