I’ve struggled for 3+ years with a flippy arm swing. I watched this video, hit range balls and then played. To my amazement I air mailed almost every green that day. I never air mail greens! Adjusting club distance? That will be easy. This is the ONE video I’ll focus on this golf season. Looking forward to surprising my friends, who have been living off my money, with this incredible swing technique.

I worked on this last year and it is really amazing. Ultimately what it teaches you to do is to deliver the handle in a lower position and to stop being a handle raiser -> which will take the average amateur from a massive toe down slicing delivery to a pro-style neutral to toe up delivery. I also found that it shortens the back swing which can only be a positive for most golfers.
I really have to say I have gotten a hell of a lot better. I’ve went from shooting 78 79 80 range to shooting 73-74-75 range. Shot 71 too. I’ve been telling all my friends to watch your videos not only do you explain it very well you’re also entertaining to watch. I appreciate it. And by the way after watching your plan shot video are used it on the course and it was amazing. Thanks again.
Miracle...miracle. I tried this drill today and it did not take 10000 balls, more like one bucket and its gone!!! No more goat humping and my head stayed down without even thinking of it. 10 years I have dealing with this issue and in 20 minutes i was done. Thank you very much. I'll be doing a bucket of this drill pre-workout all winter so I'll be ready for the fellas next spring. Awesome stuff.
I usually watch your vids because they are entertaining (your energy is awesome) and include some good info and drills to use with the golfers that I coach (my HS team. But today I tried this "drill" myself because I have had some issues will this in my own swing, and this drill/thought actually helped get me back on track (shot even this afternoon, without making any putts over three feet) and re-capture the rotation (in sequence rotation for me).

Five years ago I “had it!” I could feel the ball compress on every shot. It was awesome! Playing the best golf I’ve ever played. The following year I had hip replacement surgery and now it’s like I’ve never played before!!! I’m ready to freaking quit!!!
As a bad golfer ...... I feel I’m getting closer. Think my swing is consistent. Now u have to put that swing In the right position I’m not scoring so far this year. But I’m seeing improvement In all parts. It will come together. Ur videos helps !!!
That is a fantastic and simple drill. Even better, it's not really a drill as much as it is just a feeling in the swing. Already helping me. My tendency is to flip and/or early extend. This trains my body to take the lead and to keep my hands from rushing to the ball.
New subscriber here...I just found you yesterday! I’ve struggling with this exact thing for a while now and I can’t believe how easy this drill makes it for me to feel proper rotation of my body! After one practice session I’m already feeling a much better turn and much better compression of the ball. Have to admit, I scared the hell out of the guy next to me with all the slices I hit! 😂🤣😂 Thanks so much for this!

Loving this one. After back fusions I subconsciously expect that lightening shock of pain on the Downswing and stand up. But I don't have that shock anymore. So this might help me!
I just tried this drill of thinking "face open" and rotating through/staying down and hit my 8 iron 170+ yds carry... Wow! Thanks dude, what an incredible mental "feel" to improve ball striking! Great stuff!
This drill is insanely good. One of the only drills I've done that actually gets me rotation properly. Great stuff mate! Would love to now know how to apply the same rotation with my club face shut. Wish you were in Sydney, would definitely have you as my full time coach! Thanks Matt
This drill really really helps, typically I only get about 15 degrees hip rotation on follow through, it also increases striking consistency. I’m only is to the first 200 of the 10,000 required, but this is really promising. I enjoy your enthusiastic approach and high energy level.

PS....I'm working on this rotational drill on a velvet mat. it lets me know where the club strikes on a bright dot. Tells clubface direction. After about 30 swings, I've had some dead-on strikes. Can't wait to get to the range on Monday.

Genius! I just hit 100 balls like this and when I went back to regular swing it was amazing! I have always struggled with staying down and following through but this drill is the ticket! Can’t wait to get on the course! Thanks Matt!
Wow, something that actually works ... Fixed my transition at the top of swing to the down swing as well and ball contact is much better but not perfect.
This drill has done wonders for me- legit. few questions, should i aim at hitting the ball clean with the open face or should the emphasis be on the turn? Also- does this work with the driver?

Love the instruction! I struggle with hitting a fade... so I'm going to give this drill a try. BTW... I have been using many of your principles and I've dropped about 6 strokes off of my hdcp! Love your approach to teaching/learning of this challenging game.
The other night I was struggling with early extension/ not turning my hips fast enough and was hitting everything off the heel no matter what club or where I stood. I immediately corrected it by thinking “turn” at the top of my swing.
What do you mean by open the face but not by cupping the left wrist. How should you feel that you are opening the face without using the wrist to do it? More in the elbow?
At 2:03 I watched your contact and follow through. I need to feel for the weight going to the outside of the left foot while feeling for the inside muscles. This way I can get my right shoulder lower during contact.
Your check is in the mail, during this covid-19 crisis I spent 2 weeks hitting the ball 200 times a day using this method. I used a 56 degree wedge, pitching wedge, 7 iron and 3 Wood. I use to hit the ball to the right while staying down in my swing, while not understanding what was happening, I would fight the effect and would go back to hitting the ball with a steep down swing in an effort to hit it straight. So now I cannot hit a slice or come over the top even if you held a gun to my head, halleluiah.
Living on Long Island this is a good time to take 1000 swings. When ya don't play for 5 months like me, I gotta condition my swing again anyways. Thanks boss!
I am right handed but play golf left handed. I first was taught to hit inside out. My problem is my hands closing the club head and hooking the ball to the right. Not every time because I can hit a draw. What drill can you recommend to cure being over handsy?
"Open clubface". That's actually the swing thought I used to correct my slice with the driver. I thought maybe I could trick my brain to actually close it before impact, and it worked.
