I wrestled off the old long tubes from Davids GT to find some skeletons in the closet. Seems that no one wanted to remove the headers just to change the spark plugs! I got it all switched over to MAC. Too bad they are not in business anymore.

I wished Mac exhaust never went under. So many options for your mustang. Wish they would return to business again. Goes to show we don’t appreciate what we had until it’s gone . Great video bro 👍🏼👍🏼

Agree! the MAC long tube headers were the Best specially the Pro-chambers. God I loved them. After 12 years out of the Foxbodies, I finally got back into them and was highly disappointed when I learned they no longer were in business!

I was a MAC believer and ran their cold air intake, throttle body, long tube headers, prochamber, and complete cat back system on my 98 GT and that set up was sooop sick sounding. It was a nice rumble at idle but man that thing would scream at WOT. Regrettably sold all those components a few years ago in favor of something new. I think I even have one of their old magazines from 2002. Great company, sad to hear of their demise.

I remember back in the day's we would drive up to Mac exhaust in Temecula Ca from San Diego. We would roil up in a group and bought our parts when we all saved up enough money lol. Not only did they hook us up with the prices but gave us a bunch of stickers. Great memories and I still have my 1987 Ford Mustang coupe with all Mac products. White coupe with blue interior with Mac exhaust, intake, springs, H-pipe to white faces gauges. Classssic

I’ll check how mine line up with the engine on a stand before I even put it in the car. AND I agree 100% someone also needs to make a reproduction of the pro chamber I was lucky enough to find one

I’ve never run any Mac headers. When I was building my 85 351 swapped SVO during Covid, I couldn’t get long tubes anywhere. I settled for a new set of shorties, grrrrr!!

I know the feeling on the fitment of Mac. I had to tweak a couple tubes to get all bolt holes to line up. Eventually changed to bbk. Still have the macs. Just couldn't let em go. Lol

Man, that car has come such a long way! You've for sure doubled the value of the car, and made it something the owner will be proud to drive. I have MAC long tubes on my 93 Lightning, never cared for them, but don't have GT40 heads either. They are freshly coated, what're they worth?

I still have the Mac full cold air intake and Mac H-pipe on mine, but no more Mac headers. I've always run shorties, so I got the Ford Racing stainless ones for my GT40Ps. I've had two sets of Macs, an equal length and unequal length to replace them, and both rusted out their collectors.

Great video that thing sounds awesome and yes more choices for "P" heads and roof skins sad that we have to destroy one car to fix another. They make fenders hoods and all other parts why no roof skins.

MAC must’ve used the same Jig to weld flanges onto the pipes of the headers from the beginning and right to their end… jig must’ve been worn and tweaked, because towards the end, there was always an issue with alignment. It was ridiculous that a pry bar was needed on a brand new set of headers. On a side note, I’ve got a set of NOS MAC caster camber plates. Hopefully they line up lol

Hey buddy what was the part # for the Coolant temperature sensor i have the cobra upper and lower on my 87 but the sensor was to small for the intake port... thanks if you remember... great vids by the way

Question for you, just got me a project a couple months back and it has BBK shorty headers but prefer long tube. MAC was my favorite and unfortunately can't go with them and the famous Pro-Chamber so looking at ARH or Kooks long tube. Which of the 2 do you recommend and why? Will also be running MM or QA1 tubular k member set-up soon.

I still have PTSD from trying to install MAC's hot garbage on my car 20 years ago. Returned that junk. Sounds good? I guess but worst exhaust ever. Fitting was optional in my case.
