The BEST Hot Hatch I've Ever Driven. // 2019 Hyundai Veloster N 

i don't always reach teak pork, but when i do i always consult cows before i give it the beans.

My daily is a 2019 Veloster N. Performance package, Red. I love it. Its been 5,000 miles, no regrets. Exhaust pops are good for the soul.

Doesn’t matter that it’s 2019. A prop rod will never wear out like the hood struts will.

I have a Honda Civic Type R and love it but I do have to say, those exhaust pops are SWEET! Enjoy Veloster N owners. Hyundai hit it out of the park with this car. I am so glad I live in a time were hot hatches like this exist! Great review as always Sarah!

The Veloster N Performance is my daily and it's an amazing car... Love the pops and the constant smile on my face! Also I've driven R8s , Lambos, McLarens and while those are getting into 5 bean territory, get the Veloster N into a tight corner and it has to be at least 3 beans!...

I just bought a 2019 VW GTI Rabbit Edition as my daily driver. The handling is crisp and acceleration is just enough in the suburbs. Saw your Rabbit review and I now need to find a twisty road to see what it can do!

I walked into a Hyundai dealership a few years back to look at the veloster and walked out with a V8 6.2L Chev SS...recently departed with it and got a FJ cruiser as my daily car but I ride my bike every day for work and back. Your looking more natural next to the cars and your cow input was next level, brilliant I love your quirkyness keep it going. My offer still stands if you ever want to visit South Africa.

I LOVE this car as well. All this for under 30K and with that amazing 10 year/100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. I am trying hard right now to work out the numbers to be able to get this car. I had a first-gen Honda CRX in high school and to me, this is the spiritual successor of the Honda CRX but even more practical. I miss that old CRX but the existence of this car takes away a lot of the sting of that loss. Thanks again for the great review!

Maybe add a fun factor score along with the bean score. Good work as usual. The cow bit was funny. A little drawn out but definitely a Sara moove. Ok!

A truly fun and unique review. Wish my knee could tolerate a clutch. But in my truly awful LA traffic, not possible. That's why I drive a 500 Abarth Automatic. Some other trade offs I would, but the turbo and trans and a few tweaks I have made, way fun. Found you just trolling around You Tube; great find. Not to mention, you are quite beautiful as well. Best daily driver I've ever had.... My 2005 Mazda 6 hatch with the V6. It was the all rounder car..... Unique in its looks, most people thought it was a sedan. Station wagon cargo capacity, I've hauled Ikea furniture, bags of mulch, bikes, etc. Made numerous cross country trips. Fun to drive. And had aftermarket support. I installed an AEM cold air intake, Racing Beat axle back exhaust, Racing Beat sway bars, Mazdaspeed springs and Bilstein shocks.

My daily driver....well....I have been shopping new cars for a year now, blanched at the prices, and just bought a 2000 Mercury Marquis from an old lady that can no longer drive. It's a little stodgy but I fit right in at the early bird dinner specials.

2018 GTI - a near perfect daily driver. While the Veloster N is awesome, I prefer Hyundai's i30N. That would be a very strong candidate to replace my GTI.

I got to drive a Performance Package Veloster N at my dealership. Absolutely loved it! I happen to drive a 2018 Elantra Sport DCT Premium Package in Galactic Gray. It is the best daily driver vehicle I have owned. Plus the few upgrades to the engine i have done has me at about 220WHP, and 220-230WTQ. Not too far off a standard Veloster N.

Sarah I think you should put together a list of the cars you have tested with their respective beans score to see how they compare the different manufacturers and models. Miss your little sidekick when you do the brake test the look on her face is fantastic

Great review! I have had many Hyundai cars during my driving life and they have ALL been brilliant, reliable cars. I really liked the first incarnation of the Veloster but they were not widely available in the UK and I am not even sure that this model is being imported into this country - I look forward to driving one. At present I have a Jaguar XJ6 and an S-Type together with a Mitsubishi ASX (like you, I have too many cars!).
