It doesn't make any sense. At least make it so you can delete them but you don't get the guns or manpower back. Even have a PP cost so it's like "Night of the Long Knives".
There's a decision to disband irregular or form irregular. These are awful troops you CAN disband with the decision window. It has conditions tho, I can't remember on the top of my head, but I know you can do that pretty soon after the ethiopian war is dealt with swiftly. The other "un-disbandable" unit is the one with the cap, which, has a 12/12 cap (which can be expanded), and they are not bad troop to garrison in ports anyway, so might as well keep them and do that. Russia also has those NKVD troops that can't be disbanded right off the bat, but can later with the according focus, for exemple.
@@Daniel_Z35 Yup. Not a huge fan of kr because it's a bit too scripted for my liking but its still an impressive mod. Still far far better than tno though. At the end of the day though all the mods are free so they're already better than all the paradox dlc's that only add focus trees and not new game mechanics.
@@honeybadger6275as far as I know you still go into civil war as Italy if you lose random noncore land. At least it was like that last time I played as Italy a few weeks ago, formed Rome lost a few radnom islands in the pacific and my civil war triggered,
@@wallachia4797 the early roman empire still called itself a republic and the "republican period" only ended when the power of the senate was eclipsed by a single man not when it officially stopped being a republic
I’ve seen the joke so many times that now I wanted to clarify it. The shitty cavalry-tank division was not an actual tank division to begin with. Its name is “divisione celere” which literally means “fast division”. Italian tank divisions will come later, and will be much more similar (at least theoretically) to the other majors ones
I've done the democratic monarchy before once, just to try if I could get a communist Roman Empire. It worked, but the progress towards 70% communist support for the civil was very slow and painful without access to the default decisions. Also it was absolutely not worth it. Paradox does not want you to do it. Once the civil war triggers, you do become communist and keep the focus tree, but all your left advisors go to the other side which can go either democratic or also communist.
Napoleon being short is actually a myth. He's on the short side if you measure him by today's standards, but people in general used to be shorter, so he was in and around the average at the time
One more tip for the motorization thing- afaik, if you add a new army to a field marshal, they will not update to the field marshal's motorization. You have to either change them beforehand or cycle the field marshal again once they're added.
Paradox needs to add an event that, in case of enemies landing on the japanese home islands, triggers a spawning of a ton of green pure infantry divisions & some experienced mixed unit divisions to simulate the whole Operation Downfall problem. "" While the geography of Japan was known, the U.S. military planners had to estimate the defending forces that they would face. Based on intelligence available early in 1945, their assumptions included the following:[13] "That operations in this area will be opposed not only by the available organized military forces of the Empire, but also by a fanatically hostile population." "That approximately three (3) hostile divisions will be disposed in Southern Kyushu and an additional three (3) in Northern Kyushu at initiation of the Olympic operation." "That total hostile forces committed against Kyushu operations will not exceed eight (8) to ten (10) divisions and that this level will be speedily attained." "That approximately twenty-one (21) hostile divisions, including depot divisions, will be on Honshu at the initiation of [Coronet] and that fourteen (14) of these divisions may be employed in the Kanto Plain area." ""-wikipedia
6:05 Stalin is justifying on you as part of the "Demand Bessarabia" focus, which fires an event to cede eastern Romania to the Soviets, and gives them a Take Claim war goal if you refuse. The event just goes to whoever the current controller is (in this case, you and AI Ukraine).
2:40 holy shit how long has that been in the game? I have 2000 hours and manually going through upping all the supply hubs has been the Bain of my hoi4 existence since no step back came out.
I think the worst italian path is easily Italian Hegemony in the italo balbo/ dino grandi path. It locks you out of all of the formables for a national spirit which is ok at best.
4:35 - I used to work with a guy, an HR rep and trainer who had odd habits. During a long conversation or training speech, he’d quietly rub his nipples, saying “good stuff”. He also looked like Victor Emmanuel III, but with hair. I looked him up last month on My Heritage - sure enough, Italian Royal family.
In RT56 the Mare Nostrum focus lets you justify as democratic at 100% world tension, I thought that's a vanilla feature and Paradox actually trying to make democracies fun to play. Apparently not, it's a mod feature.
Honestly RT56 adds some tiny things that just make the playthrough better (Cold war for USA and Soviet Union, added focus trees, extensions to some focus trees, and more variation for the AI In exchange for slower game speed, different portraits, and ba
@@glauberglousger956 There's no real reason to play vanilla hoi4 since we have RT56. I think even Paradox realizes this, hence pretty much half their yearly DLCs are focustrees and features that have been in RT56 for years which they shamelessly copy without giving credits to the community.
Okay, so Italy became the Kingdom of Italy to become the United Italian States to become Res Publica Romana and after all that, it is the European Union. That's quite a lot of name changes made there.
I hate that if you do the focuses "emperor of Ethiopia" and occupation of Albania" before making the king democratic, he doesn't get the buffs as the king of Albania and emperor of Ethiopia, but as non-aligned leader, he still has it
Didn't my boy have 1 million or am I tripping? I've been subbed for years. And I swore he had like 1.2mil at one point. Who have been screwing up my guy.
Mr.ISP, if you want to take a break from the A-Z shenanigans, why don't you check out the Kalterkrieg mod that just came out? it's a continuation of the Kaiserreich universe into the cold war
Dose anyone know why after countless minor updates and a full blown DLC release paradox has not fixed the bug where Italy is at war with Ethiopia forever even if they conquered all its states?
