Anyone notice the motor wanting to leap out of the engine bay when he was gasing it?? I'd say, stiffer motor mount bushings would be my upgrade on this car
Bless. I've been thinking of how to make a custom grill intake for my 340i. Will def be getting this. Any plans on making a turbo inlet as well? Possibly even a 1-piece turbo inlet and intake tube?
not trying to hate, but what happens in heavy rain or when you wash the car? also can filter be replaced without taking the whole bumper off? maybe a half circle shield in front of the filter would help?
Are you able to do any tuning on these? I'm local to you and I have a JB4 on the car (I'm honestly scared to turn if off of map 0 though without a competent tuner to look over the data). I know about the bench unlock from Femto in Finland, but I'm not willing to send my ECU overseas. Is there any other way? I don't know you personally, but I've been following you for a few years and you're the only one I would really trust to mess with the tuning on my car.
from what we know now the only way to unlock your ECU is to send it to Finland. You won't be able to drive your car for about a week. I highly recommend doing this if you are serious about upgrading your vehicle. Im assuming you have a b58 production car and rest assured these engines are bulletproof so long you keep up with your cars maintenance, going with the right tuner purely makes the car perform better and has no input on damaging your vehicle.
@@phantom2k10 the xdrive does, yeah. But whatta you gonna do about it, all them new BMWs weigh more, they gotta be luxury, and they are nice inside, and It's got a big motor with a heavy turbo system. At least a lot of weight reduction can be done easily if someone wants. If you really want something light and more raw, you can always get a manual Supra, or you're gonna have to go for something with worse build quality and a worse all around experience.
@@phantom2k10 they accommodated for it though, good brakes, stiffer suspension that is I believe adaptive, better suspension components in general, stiffer chassis, and different gear ratios.
Then to remove filter is a nightmare.. nonsense upgrade.. much better ways to get sound and fresh air. And also looks ugly. Just get a ramair intake of a custom cone filter with aluminium box.. much better.
