This way of eating is so sustainable!! Thanks!!!
Love it, Amanda! Especially that you experimented, did the research & encourage us to do the same! It's got to be sustainable for us in order for us to keep going.❤
Thank you, Amanda. As a person who deeply believes in doing your due diligence by doing your research, I appreciate the work you've put in. While I am only 2 weeks in, I can already see a loss of belly fat that others are already noticing. I will post results at the end of this month
Thank you Amanda for validating my usage of the kits. I only use one at a time, add all the little packets and usually about 8 oz. of protein. Sometimes all add extra greens but not always. The calorie intake for me is 1000-1200 a day. (one meal)
For me, the inflammatory GMO oils in those kits is the deal breaker. Even if I could figure out a way for my mind to ignore that aspect, the fact is my weight wouldn't budge because of it. What I would do is find the copycat dressing recipe that corresponds to the kit and then throw that together quickly in a mason jar.
Great discussion on kits versus from scratch. I think, based on a chat with a friend, that the biggest problem with kits is making sure our mind sets recognize that a whole kit's caloric and nutrient counts are based on single servings printed in large letters on the back. While the kits actually contain multiple servings, the bag total is rarely printed prominently. Hum, could it be, makers would like us to be undercounting actual calories per entire bag? If one has two kits, the big salad might have 8 servings !! I think a handy solution might be to have only one kit supplemented with one bag of only greens and maybe just add a little watered down low calorie dressing.
We all really need a plan. This worked well for me in these 30 days but I am generally inclined to make my own, especially if I end up adapting kits a lot
On the carb talk; I loved the little Asian crispy noodles and ended up buying a can to put on my homemade salad. Ahhh, but then I realized I was putting way more than what would have been in the kit’s teeny tiny bag. So I actually threw out the rest of the can. It just wasn’t worth the spiral in which I was heading.
