Always lots to do around Jasper. $30 CAD/night in Jasper for full hookup is a steal. Alberta Parks, our provincial run camp sites, currently charges $33 to $36 per night for power only sites throughout Alberta. I will have to add that place to my hit list. Safe travels to Alaska.

Hmm... the thought has crossed my mind, but we don't want to give people the impression that RV life costs that much! We hear what other RVers spend on groceries for the month and it's more like a week for us with teenage boys. Our grocery expenses is close to the same as it is "at home" and have found that to be true with other people we talk to. With that being said, I think a Trader Joe's visit would be helpful.

Yes, great for perspective. We flew to a glacier in a little hopper plane in Talkeetna, AK. I thought we were going to hit this mountain. The pilot said I lost my perspective and pointed to the Glaciwr we were going to land on. He pointed to a little red dot on the glacier and said see that, that red dot is another plane. Then when I looked at the mountain it looked further away. It was actually about 2 miles out. The glacier was near it was like walking on ice pebbles, you dug down about a foot or so and it got more solid. Is it the same in Jasper?

How long do you typically take to edit your videos from after import to ready for upload? Also how much video (time) do you shoot in a week (I’m assuming you shoot way more than what goes in your videos)? Love watching your videos. Ran into a couple in Savannah and we talked about how we look forward to your video release every week just like a prime time show.
@KeepYourDaydream
@KeepYourDaydream 6 лет назад
We edit about 25 hours per week and it takes another 6 to render and upload. We have about 3 times the amount of footage, but a lot of it gets used for the deleted scenes. Speaking of which, I need to get started on the second deleted Jasper episode now

Hi! Excited for you to explore Alaska! Hey, you mentioned at the end of this video if we had any questions or ideas of things we like to know as you continue on your adventure... How about temperatures in the areas you visit? How cold is it at night this time of year, if it is a really wet area, is it dry and sunny, etc. It's been looking nice so far but hard to tell for sure so a weather report would add some more info! (maybe what gear you need for each day.. Rain coat, wind jacket, etc.) I will be watching! Enjoy!

Including those practice cliffs by the Athabasca River and the Astoria hotel....ahhh, the memories! We used to swim the river on May long weekend too as part of the Jasper Aquathon. For real beauty, hike the Bald Hills or up on the Skyline trail or into the Watchtower basin. Winter is great too, particularly a trip inside Maligne Canyon...unforgettable.

When we took our trailer to Jasper, we used a lot of the advice in this video to plan, particularly the Athabasca Glacier walk and the food tour. Every now and then, I come back to watch your video because you are better at chronicling than we are. It's great to see Jasper again. I don't normally feel tempted to move to places that we visit but Jasper is the exception. I'd live there in a heartbeat, if we could.

Oh, my goodness, it looks like you could spend a LOT of time in Jasper and still not see all it offers; a gorgeous place, to be sure. Am enjoying your trip a lot; be safe, KYD!!
