Maybe I'm just wierd, but I think it's so satisfying watching Leo steamroll everyone when he gets momentum, instead of getting "tired of him winning" like I see so many people say.
Cat might just BLJ calling someone a villain just because they’re good is beyond stupid (not saying you but the people who say this). Smash community is always whining whenever a player or a character is good.
@@CoffeeCakeBun no I didn't call him villain cause hes superb at the game.. To me..to call somebody a villain in a game is the person who is always winning matches.. I wasn't complaining cause hes good..
@@manuelruiz9263 I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who jumps with the left stick and does aerials with the right stick. Problem is that I've gotten so used to that way of playing, that I can't just get used to the regular way of playing.
I remember when i first got smash and found little z on youtube thinking he was a smash god. It was baffling to me how someone could be so good at the game. Little did i know he just plays for fun and theres people out here like leo.....
I honestly don’t know why so many people hate Leo. He’s just good guys, he knows how to play the game. Quit complaining. Anyways so yeah, your the best Leo. Keep up the Joker combos. (And win streaks)
@@spiralanimations7736 nobody is saying that he should stop playing the game. As a spectator sport, many people get sick and tired of the same person winning every major. It's less of leo being good, but moreso other top players failing to adapt to him and taking advantage of his weaknesses.
Kai Fulbright what I wanna know is what’s gonna happen to Leo, with him winning evo a lot of people are complaining about joker and him being broken so I can nearly grantee that joker is gonna get nerfed in the next patch
Leo: *Is on one stock at high damage* Opponent: *Boasts how they’ve already won* *Rivers in the Desert starts playing* Arsene: I’m about to save this man’s whole career
hes such a perfect best player in the world, i love him so much he doesnt pop off since he considers how the other person feels about losing, never rages, and is just overall a perfect man to take the spot of best player in the world, im so happy that he represents what it means to be truly good at this game!
Has less to do with the person and more of the fact that it's the same person winning over and over. Smash community always wanting some rando to just come in and shake things up. Win a couple and another player comes through. And yet with Melee. Everyone's chill with the Gods monopolizing the tourney money.
It's basically like ZeRo in the Sm4sh days. He's too good, and people want exciting upsets like some random Lucario main to win instead so it feels more like an anime.
@@blackfang0815 idk I feel like there's more leo fans than haters (just my experience from watching these videos) while zero I feel like everyone was rooting against him
i would like to coin a new syndrome using leo as an example. the"silver medal syndrome". basically, due to the way competition is televised, competition as a whole has become more entertainment than actual it should be. basically, we have three winners, bronze, silver, and gold. gold managed to win, therefore they deserve the most praise for their hard work. silver got second, but should still be praised for making it to second place. bronze managed to get in the top three, the bigger the competition, the greater they are. however, due to the way competition is viewed, its seen more as a tv show rather than serious competition. an example, you have the three winners again. except this time, gold is celebrated at first, but quickly becomes shamed and hated...if they keep winning, which makes no logical sense competition wise, the longer someone wins, the more praise they deserve for being able to stand above an evolving crowd. silver, on the other hand, is treated as an underdog hero who needs to defeat the supposed villain, gold, because...they got second, they are the underdog, so of course they should win next time, and then they promptly get turned on once they become gold. and where is bronze this whole time? no one cares about third place, second and first is all the rage. if competition was a fictional series, gold is the villain, silver the hero, and bronze is the side character. this has been cracking the very foundation of competition itself, competition is supposed to be an honorable test of skills, where the greater competitor gets the respect and recognition they deserve. but now, competition has been romanticized to the point where people would probably want silver instead of gold for their own publicity. in short, there are no villains in competition, just those who are good enough to beat their ever changing opponents and keep the crown they fought hard for, which deserves recognition. in conclusion, dont hate leo for winning all the time, be impressed that hes managing to do so against a changing meta and changing opponents, and recognize those who are under the throne and how hard theyved worked to get there. thank you.
@@BabuBabu-ip6oh Meh, in the early to mid days of melee not really. But I think in the later melee days and with brawls release bringing in all the newcomers then the problem started.
Love how humble leo is. It's funny how guys mock him for his feats on WiFi now because he's no longer able to dominate with joker. People should remember he never showed arrogance in the face of victory, so he should receive a bit of respect now
0:59 I actually have mad respect for the dude who lost. Even after getting losing to a comeback like that, he still gave leo a firm handshake and a smile. I'm sure most people would've been extremely upset (especially because its joker)
1:51 Look at MKLeo's sigh after taking the stock. He does this a lot when he's down. Something happens to the man once he does this. He enters the zone, seemingly erasing all fear and panic. From then on, it's laser precision and a burst of oppressive neutral. No matter where he is, he just flips a switch and seemingly decides he's going to win. Meanwhile his opponent starts feeling the pressure. The fear and doubt starts spreading as their lead slowly but continuously whittles away. And by the time the stocks are evened out and Arsene pops, they're a terrified mess, desperately fishing for that last hit to escape the tightening chokehold. They're afraid. And Leo knows this. He's out for blood
Leo just has either small or no pop off no matter what I don’t think he stopped his pop off because he saw sam’s reaction. Even after winning evo he had a subtle pop off if any
Serious Striker not really. People were talking about how Joker loses to Ken and that Riddles has an amazing Ken and that it was gonna be a close game before they even had the match.
More than improving. Rather he maintains his composure XD. It is as if when reaching those points the opponent begins to lose focus and make mistakes. And mkleo, being so consistent with his joker, punishes mistakes. So whenever they reach those points of the game their joker acquires a much higher level
Hi. Just wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of your Joker videos! Your beautiful skill and gracefulness and even 'sensing' the opponents' moves are simply gorgeous, so much, that you've inspired me to become my own little Joker master. So far, I've already gotten my KOs up to a thousand and more and I have a grand total of 217 Meteor Smashes. I've never gotten this far with ANY Smash Bros. character in my history of playing all of the games, not even my ex-main, Falco, Dark Pit and Blue Yoshi. I've also been creating my own aggressive playstyle defensively since I'm using defense for my own Joker, who has the red and black reversal outfit. The Spirits I'm using for him are Fire Emblem's Sirius, Karel and Elise, who use Weapon Attack, Weapon Attack Up and Auto-heal. PS: I like how you're calculating your opponents' moves and just going in for the kill with Joker's fast movement like that. I actually was truly impressed with your skill of controlling the character and bringing him to extreme heights like I've never seen anyone control him before. That neat little 'float' that you did with Joker was truly cool to see!
Theres just something about Leo that's weird to me. Its not like he does anything extremely hype or noteworthy during his matches, like Elegant with Luigi combos, it's just he gives this vibe of pure dominance. Whenever he plays you just have this weird feeling that he can win no matter what situation. I dont know how someone can even reach that level of skill and knowledge of a game (SonicFox, M2K, etc.) But I want to reach that level someday.
