Man, I miss the show and all its writers so much. Stay strong though. Don’t give up the strike just for me. Don’t quit until you all get what you need.
My favorite Late Night show for sure. From Seth going casual and casually roasting his writers and the crowd, but also putting a shine to his writers, to just having writers come in for some skits - it's been a phenomenal show and it always makes me laugh. I miss it dearly!
the writers of Late Night probably have good salaries and working conditions, seeing how swell a guy Seth is, but that doesn't count for everyone and when you're in a union, then you must stick together.
Yeah i was wondering along those lines. Whos really in control of the writers wages and conditions? Seth , Stephen etc are the hirers and firers and payers of the staff arent they?
I'm willing to re-write this for you for, say, 200 thousand dollars. Most of the comments on here sound like I should get whatever I'm asking for, so that's what I'm asking for.
Pay the writers what they deserve so we can get quality jokes like these ones! Seriously though, I appreciate Late Night joining The Daily Show in releasing retrospective clips to remind us why we watched and why the strike needs to be resolved favorably to the writers
Unfortunately the uber wealthy are able to holdout indefinitely. If they ever do feel any pressure, all they have to do is rehash old material. I haven’t owned a tv in like 15 years, but whenever I housesit, the only thing worth watching out the 500+ channels is South Park. Hopefully writers are able to take their talents to other mediums & be even more successful.
Writers: STAY STRONG! We support you! What I love about this segment is how they make each of the writers their own characters on the show. Very few shows even acknowledge their writers, so it's fantastic!
Nothing but solidarity to the writers and their loved ones at this time. Always looking forward to this show most days out of the week. Hopefully you can return to what you do best when the timing and circumstances are right.
This has turned out to be a bit that really shines. Allows the audience to get to know the writers, sometimes to the point you think you know who wrote a certain joke because it feels like their voice. But wrapped up in a sketch about Seth being a jerk and roasting his staff. Well balanced comedy, can always get the second laugh on the back of a failed first attempt, very clever structure.
I miss all of you. I want all of you back, but I understand that you need to fight for your rights. You deserve to be paid what you're worth. We'll be here for you when you come back. Jackal strong 💪 ❤️

I really miss this show but of course fully support the writer strike! No show would be anything without their writers, and there are so many incredibly talented people who deserve to be properly appreciated for it. I love how present both the writers, but also other staff are on this show, surprise inspections and corrections are two of my favourite series! I miss these shows so much and I really hope they come back soon...aka so that the writers strike is resolved and writers get what they deserve instead of being exploited.

It can't be coincidence that this drops today, featuring the Grimace joke, and McDonald's social media has apparently been taken over by Grimace himself.
Network execs/film industry, give the writers what they want. They deserve better pay and benefits. They bring me so much joy in this crappy world and I'm sick and tired of waiting for new Late Night. Seth and the gang are phenomenal!
I have been anxiously waiting for this show to come back or just any activity on the channel, but we’re all so proud of the writers for sticking it out! Keep going, you amazingly talented people!
