The Best Onslaught Tips To GUARANTEE Wave 50 Clears | Destiny 2 Into the Light

Having tested the battery thing, these thing heal EVERYTHING. That includes defences, guardians, and even enemies, i once threw a battery at a tormentor giving him half of his health back and on a shielded bombardier, the giant ogre, healed 1/3rd of his health pool.

One thing about the heavy ammo crates: They despawn after EVERY preparation phase not after every time you switch locations. You have three per location so if you haven‘t picked it up until that phase, do it as it despawns after it anyways until you get a new optional objective.

I can't get people stay to 50 and or I have gotten to 40 and have it glitch out where the portal doesn't appear after boss fight .so annoying..

The biggest problem people have is NOT using their heavy. People act like there’s not an insane amount of heavy in this game mode. If two people have Gjallarhorn, you almost don’t even need to fire anything else. If you’re worried about it, have a Cenotaph Warlock (you don’t have to have synergy with your class, but Coldheart with Arc works very well for ability spam and if you’re set up your Coldheart will blind… or Wavesplitter will suppress which also make enemies worthless… Ager’s is also obvious). They’ll have infinite special and you’ll have infinite heavy to make everything a breeze. That’s what I’ve found playing with randoms. People will have meta builds but they don’t use them that well and still get overwhelmed by the adds. Most wipes do happen on Demolistionists and Totmentors but it’s not them attacking the ADU… it’s the adds sweeping in quick while people are distracted.

Thing that killed runs for me more than anything is the teleporting ads that just glitch directly to the ADU. Extremely annoying.

Boss tip: The game plays a short audio clip for the boss when the first person jumps through the portal. It's brief and I think the volume is attenuated if you are far from the portal. If you are all around the portal or jump through at the same time, you will hear it clearly. Tormenter plays the tormenter screech sound, brig will play the robotic brig sound, etc. Not sure if they all have sounds, but I would guess they do? So if you are paying attention, you know the boss before you even get to the rally flag.

I finally completed Legend 50 waves yesterday. Saving up my points and spamming Suspend as Titan really improved my gameplay (along with finding good teammates lol).

I was today years old when I found out having anti-Champion mods equipped just buffs that specific weapon to all enemies.

i love that for once an activity actually keeps you on your feet with how much it mixes up

The dupe glitch also works with Weavewalk. You can get around 3 dupes with a single melee charge, and around 10 using all 3 melee charges depending on how fast you can enter and exit Weavewalk.

I have played quite a few rounds of Onslaught but never knew about the Battery heal trick. This will save me some much needed scrap in the later rounds, thanks Cross!

correction for your vid: heavy boxes do always despawn at the end of a building wave, not just waves ending in 0. If you have a heavy crate still up during your building phase it will always despawn when building is over. 👍

It would be nice if legend onslaught would guarantee 1 shiny upon completion

If you have a tether or a damage super,( nova bomb,shards etc) let your teammate drop the rally flag. Open the door and use your super on the ads in the room. Go back outside and rally the flag to get your super. Free damage.

Btw you can shoot dragon's breath through the boss wall So unload 8 rounds, rally and actually start the fight

pro tip: if you want an easier clear...lobby surf for hive as the demolitionist waves on fallen are substantially more difficult and annoying with all of the arc shields. (can counter with 1 gally)...but Hive for the boss waves are far more easy. Also Tormentors will always spawn on either a "3" or "9" wave so for example they could spawn on wave 13 or wave 19, or wave 23 or 29.....etc etc. so if you haven't gotten a tormentor on your run, you can prepare for when you reach the "3" and "9" waves.

Other tips: - Utilize [Local] chat to communicate in normal Onslaught. - Stop healing the ADU after waves that end in 9. Use these orbs to heal your reinforcements. The ADU automatically heals after every boss phase. - Split up your attention, constantly watch for enemy flanks. - If you are low on scrap, do not spawn kill the boss. Use that time to get extra scrap from the adds and slowly chip away at the bosses health.

For tormentors i have a Forerunner to swap to, the ammo economy is amazing and it does a ton of crit damage, trust me it made them a lot easier

Hey Cross fun fact i'm sure you'll like. While rocking the Stace's turret build, you can actually throw 2 stasis turns through the boss battle door as there is no collision for the grenades and then refill your grenades before the door ever opens.

I never knew you were able to heal the decoys, now this changes everything for me

It took me little while to beat my first legend wave 50 but after I beat it the first time it became a lot easier just using certain strats (not buying tripwires and saving scrap) additionally I always like to set up a plan of action for tormentors like a specific place to lead it to

Peregrine greaves work very well against the augment rounds. Skybombes are one shot in normal mode, and if they don't die you can keep hitting them repeatedly because they are yellow bars.

At 10:20 you do indeed wipe if u let them explode, but if you are in a situation you cant go to them have one teammate die and when they are about to explode ress them you will die but your teammate wont so you will survive the wipe

I come to onslaught to fight first, loot later. Fight to the finish, if you can. It sucks getting abandoned, but I will say that it's pretty good at slotting you fresh teammates. Surviving till they arrive is interesting on a strand warlock.

Another great video about onslaught. These tips are so important. I have found the risk/reward of regular onslaught vs legend to be pretty bad, so I usually just run regular. It's nice not having to get sweaty with a fireteam just to get some good loot. I've been having the most fun on strand/solar hunter, and stasis/solar warlock.

I haven't even touched legend yet because getting to wave 50 on regular with randoms is hit or miss. Trying to make a fire team for legend right now seems like a chore

We almost got to wave 50 but we wiped at 49, it annoys us to no end, but it’s fun and I can’t complain about the challenge, it’s made to be that way.

Did you know that before you open the boss door, you can shoot projectiles through the door and it damages enemies behind the door without it starting the encounter. I've got it to work with dragons breath and Edge Transit. I'm playing on Xbox Series X, I don't know if that has anything to do with it l but it's worth checking out

Imma have to say, pyrogales with consecration build is op. Tormentor rounds, I literally just pinpoint the alleyways the ads are coming from, use one shot of Dragons breath and use whatever else to assist my teammates. After about 5 to 10 seconds I just shoot another Dragons breath and consecration to just obliterate extra ads.

Can everyone please, please remember that there are ALSO origin trait artifact perks that will ALSO overcharge your weapons? For instance, ANY weapon from any of the last 4 seasons can be overcharged. So can any weapon from this season's dungeon. Everyone forgets this, including Cross.

That dawn corus build from a few days ago has taken me from wiping at 40's to 50 wave completions constantly. I wish more blueberries would at least watch a video before trying to run their double primary pvp exotic 5 resil build.

This is great, Cross but I have a suggestion! If you haven't already, can you make a video specifically focused on what 10 things to NOT to do, in Legendary Onslaught? My 2 preferred fireteam mates are busy yesterday, so I tried LFG Onslaugh legendary, and it was a disaster, always the same mistakes of players arriving with their favorite solo build and not being helpful, in any capacity. Players that repeatedly charge head on into the enemy waves and die, over and over, and over etc etc. Keep grabbing the spark and keep dying with it, but will keep rushing to grab it again. Strafing wide sloppy, careless shot blocking circles in front of 2 of us, moving in front of us and strafing excessively every time we step up to get them out of your line, popping a stupid titan bubble between the well of radiance and the boss, obliterating dps because we can no longer hit the boss My 2 preferred fireteam members were occupied yesterday evening, so I remain a bit traumatized from the LFG experience 😂

if you have one battery , throw it away from the ADU while using the class ability ( instead of depositing it ) then this will create another battery , then you can do the normal dupe battery with the pick up glitch. hence, with 1 battery you can fully heal the ADU

I’m playing the same build as you and what they really need to do is make those ADU balls orbs instead that heal your unit when you run over them. Otherwise you’re constantly picking up the ADU ball instead of your strand tangle. It makes onslaught feel clunky since you have to move out of range of two items that are close to one another and wait for it to just say “pick up” instead of the ADU ball text. It’s not fun making a tangle only to be rewarded with a tangle of text to dissect whether you’re picking up the correct item or not. When I hear onslaught I think of fighting many enemies not throwing ADU ping pong balls. Also if that’s going to remain the case they should have the ADU ball also be a weapon since people are throwing them, also also - the balls hit every object known to humanity except the ADU, so even you take the extra time to heal the generator you’re left with this shit not hitting its target because there was a turret in the way or it curved into a wall and bounced. Also I’m guessing there’s still no vault by Shax with the weapons he’s “taken out of the vault…” It doesn’t seem very well thought out does it?

Did they finally fix legend 50 onslaught? I just got a notification upon logging in that bungie advices doing only upto wave 40 then dipping

Heavy tends to despawn after setup phases so usually after the setup phase when you get back from the pyramid ship that’s your opportunity, hope it’s something they fix

Tripwires might as well not be an option. But Shaxx decoys are so damn clutch, getting a tormentor on round 48, it keeps him occupied as we wipe out the ads, THEN we blow thy load on the tormentor. Shaxx decoy makes things so much easier, 'cause should a tormentor even get on the ADU, it chunks it out so hard it's crazy. Also, duplication glitch has been patched. lol..

With the final boss of onslaught, it's different for everyone I think. Had the tormentor first week etc.

I'm using your Stasis Build you showed here some days ago. And for Bosses I do swap to a Solar Build for Well, but my greatest issue is that I then have zero abilities when we defeated the Boss and enter the next wave, how do you counter that?

The battery dup has saved my runs, if I only have one and my adu is screaming like a hungry little child I’ll throw the battery at a wall and do the class ability dup then I’ll do the battery dup where you stand on top and continually throw them. I can get about half the health back before they despawn

One tip I’d give is to move out of the darkness icky icky. When you step out you have 5 seconds of the darkness empower buff so if you’ve got shielded wizards you can get a better angle on em. I’ve noticed they like to hide behind cover like crazy

Heavy Ammo Disappears after Pyramid at wave x6. So the only thing you have to decide is whether to grab it before entering the pyramid or after. Once the buy phase completes, Ammo goes bye bye.

I was wondering what those motes were lol. I can t seem to pick them up though.

I had one run where we didn't defuse one of the mines in time, however I did not die but my teammates did. So we were able to continue the run, I have no idea why I survived I spawned in already and was fearing we lost. So there may be ways to continue the run even if the mines go off.

Weapons swap is actually really good to duplicate in console I play ps5 and I always use swap

I have had the mines go off twice in all of my onsloughts yet neither time we wiped because I either revived teammate or myself at just the right time completely by chance

A tip for anyone struggling with Briggs: Polaris Lance's Perfect Fifth shot staggers them once you break that front plate off.

You can heal yourself like stepping in a well by hitting yourself with it on a wall or just double heal by throwing it at a teammates back thus healing you and him while they clear ads

I’ve done a lot is runs and I think my random matchmade team failed 3 times. For some ridiculous ass reasons too. Point being, if you have a decent build, you should be good.

We got to Lvl 50 on our previous runs, where we could not physically open the door, and we would have to end our run there. This is a huge problem, and needs to be fixed ASAP @bungie

Man it’s been years since I’ve enjoyed the gameplay loop of destiny. This season feels the same to me IMO

The trophies of bravery is most important imo. The postmaster/inventory cap will always limit how much they can give you in one session.

Throwing the battery against the wall or away from the adu while using your class ability, will allow you to timer dup the batteries

disorienting grenades work on the ogres when defusing mines. That is clutch when its in the later rounds. ONe person can defuse mines while the team is doing adds.

Upgrade tip for decoy. You upgrade it 2 times (2,000/3,500) it'll cost the next person 5,000 giving shaxx instead of 6,000 for yourself.

If you're gonna do 10 waves, just do the 10 wave game mode

I don’t know if they’ve patched it, but I’ve been able to shoot Dragons Breath through the door before it’s even opened and it’s done damage!

Haven’t gotten a single shiny drop yet, after a few dozen wave 10’s on legend and a bunch of tokens turned in:(
