There's no better place to buy Japanese Pokemon Cards than in Japan - which is why I spent a lot of money as soon as I got there. Whether you collect modern cards, like the Special Illustration Rares, the Art Rares from Pokemon 151, or Full Art Trainers - or perhaps you're a vintage collector, chasing cards from the WOTC and E-Reader series of cards - you will almost certainly find it in Japan.
Since opening Pokemon Cards has become so expensive - especially for Japanese Booster Boxes - most Pokemon Card collectors have been left with no choice but to just buy Singles. And thankfully, there are plenty over in Japan. So here's what I picked up!

GLAD TO BE BACK i missed ya! also rip in pieces upon editing this video i noticed more damage on some of these cards (the scratch on the Magby OOFT) but idc i'm not coping :')

The 'e-reader' cards (Skyridge, Aquapolis...) have one of the best layout design I've ever seen in the Pokémon TCG. They still amaze me to this day.

Great vid Fam!! Been meaning to catch a Vid since we Met at Card party but glad this came across my recommended! That Dratini was awesome and loved the Blaziken as well! Also a big fan of VS I just grabbed the Suicune in a CGC 9 at Card party.. Will def try to catch some more of your stuff! Keep crushing it Fam & Grats on Worlds! Was a blast to meet you at Card Party even if it was extremely brief lol.. Much Love as always! 💪💪🔥🔥

Great pick-ups, dude. Being able to evaluate the condition of those in person is a game changer. I wouldn't mind paying market for em (especially the VS series) if the appeal/condition is near mint.

Side note ...A lot of the japanese shops tend to double sleeve their cards to prevent bending due to high humidity

I mess with everything Darkrai and Gengar.. I would totally give you my money to go ham while you're over there, the surprise/mystery would be amazing and i'm sure i would be in for a treat with what i receive. Glad you're back man, awesome cards and i bet the experience is second to none aye.. Definitely have to do this myself some day soon before i get too old.

VS series is definitely something I want to collect someday because I really like Japanese exclusive sets to supplement my English vintage collection and since Pokémon Gold was my first ever Pokémon game. For the past year I've been working on putting together a Vending Series binder and it's been a lot of fun seeing art that I didn't even know existed when I was a kid collecting WotC.

The cards from Japan are always so nice in my experience! The only set I’ve collected in Japanese is the VS series. My favourite Pokémon set of all time. But I was able to master it in nm or better without any issues. They take care of their cards a lot better then most!

It's criminal how underrated Lv.X cards are. In my humble opinion they are the best looking cards the pokemon company has made. Super hot take, but the artwork and colors etc on the Lv.X cards are definitely some of my favorite cards ever made!
