Back then Djoko used to choke a lot in GS finals. Adding Boris to his team worked wonders for him. He certainly started winning those GS finals . As a Novak fan this was an emotional win for me . Thanks for making this video.

Magnificent. If I had the money to own a company, I'll hire you with top salary. This match had everything going for Federer's way and somehow he missed it. His backhand took him down the whole match, but despite that it was a good one overall. Thank god he won AO 2017, this one is painful to watch.

Wimbledon 2008 and 2014 are great examples of Federer showing heart and fighting to the end. He willed himself to a 5th set in both those finals. I always found it amazing how it took the greatest match ever to dethrone Federer from his 5 year run at Wimbledon in 2008. Even at age 32, in 2014, look at the quality of tennis it took to beat Federer on the grass. And he will probably make the final again this year (2019). He is truly the best on grass. Great video!

yea 2014 was really the biggest missed opportunity for roger, could've definitely won wimbledon and us open but he kinda didn't show up in a lot of the final crucial moments in tournaments, he was playing at such a high level back in 2014, it was the beginning of the neofederer play style where he was attaching a lot more than before. I feel like that year is also when i kinda see that novak and nadal had a bit of edge in the mental department as roger just keeps failing to raise his level in the finals or sf of tournaments.

These five set finals will never not hurt if they don't go your favorite players way. As a Fed fan, this final along-with AO09 and Wimbeldon 08 always brings out bittersweet feeling. I get to see a great quality match but I know what happens in the end. Coming back to your skills, there is not much which can be said. The biggest compliment I can pay you is that you know how to tell a story, which is extremely rare on this platform. Cannot wait for what you have in store for us next.

GS finals record before this match: 6-7 GS finals record since: 14-4 If you had to point to one moment in Djokovic's career that redefined it it had to be this. His monster 2011 season proved he was capable of being the best player, but at this point in his career he was still far from crawling his way to peerhood with Nadal and Federer. Even with this win I thought there was no way he'd close the grand slam gap, but now it seems inevitable he will end with the most.

He was extremely close.. otherwise Federer would beat him. It's interesting, whenever Federer was in imperious form like in 2017 and Djokovic hasn't faced him.. but when RF was in bad form Novak played and beat him very easily. One of the Greats rivals ever.
