Thanks for your detailed review. I've tried both Zero and Wasabi and Wasabi X and agree with everything you mentioned. Interested to get your opinion on Toroline Absolute, thinking of purchasing to try. Using in a Pro Staff 52 pounds
@time410s
@time410s 8 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching! Absolute seems fine but I don't get impressive snapback from it. I think wasabi x and wasabi are very special strings especially if you care about spin and durability. Anything else they offer will be second to those but ether and Supertoro are solid honorable mentions. Supertoro snapback is actually similar but somehow breaks sooner. Ether lasts decently long.

After trying Restring Zero and Toroline Wasabi Pro, I have to admit they are the best polyester strings I have ever used. The snapback is amazing like you said on both strings. It has ended my string quest. I plan to use either of these two strings. I am not a string breaker and its nuts how long the strings last for me before I feel it is time to restring. If a player values spin (it is great for slice as well), these 2 strings will give you that in spades. Great video explaining these products.

I'm currently using prince vortex full bed and love how soft, spinny, and poweful with good control it is when fresh. But literally after about 4 hours in, it's literally splitting, stuck out of place, and notching. Do you think adding Wasabi x might keep the playability the same but keep reduce the notching and extend the life of the mains? Will probably try on my own anyways but just wanted to get another opinion. Thanks.
@time410s
@time410s 7 месяцев назад
Yeah it's definitely worth a try. I lose all snapback in a few minutes of hitting with multi or syngut. They appear to have good snapback right after stringing but it's just a coating that wears off fast. Hopefully it offers you what you want in that combo. Do try!

I’d be curious what you recommend as I have tried Restring Zero but not Wasabi. I played in college, I have high swing speed, play with Aero Pro 100, but lose a bit of pace with the Zero even though they have fantastic ball shape. But I need to be able to create offense against players at my level so I miss some of the pace I get with other strings like hyper G, black knight, Big hitter silver 7, etc. I have the zero at 46. Maybe I should go even lower? Or is there a toroline I should try that may have a little more power than Zero? Any thoughts are appreciated.
@time410s
@time410s 8 месяцев назад
I'd say wasabi is a bit higher power. I'd try wasabi and or the wasabi x in crosses with that! Or zero and Wasabi x. I always suggest zero a little lower in tension. I find it to be low medium power but some have said higher... Guess it's subjective slightly somehow but I said what I said haha.

I am shopping for new string set up. Currently using gravity mp with confidential strings at 50 lbs. Your toroline review intrigued me as I am looking for more topspin w tension maintenance. Any recommendations? I would prefer one string setup up as I never tried hybrid but open to hybrid as well. Thanks for your suggestions.
@time410s
@time410s 8 дней назад
Nice! I like that MP quite a lot and the only thing I wanted more of from it was a bit more spin. I love hybrids because you can get the string you want in the mains for bite/spin but get crosses for feel. And luckily crosses exist now that compliment the spin and not ruin it. Zero by ReString mains and Sync crosses or Wasabi X crosses would be a great start. You can also try Ether from Toroline with Wasabi X crosses if you want a thinner main. But Zero/Sync will definitely offer the best tension maintenance over pretty much any other option I can imagine. Spin should still be among the best. Lmk how it compares for you to confidential if you try it. Zero in full bed is great but I think Zero and Sync is a bit better. I haven't used a full bed of shaped strings in a long time. I see no reason to.

Thank you for all your content! Question on strings: what string would you recommend for a cross string for maximum spin + higher launch angle if natural gut is the mains string? The "standard" in this category is Wilson's Champion's choice (gut 16 + alu power rough 16l) or Babolat VS Touch (gut 16 + rpm blast 17). I'm trying to get a sense if Wasabi-X or Restring Zero would be better as a cross string. Or something else? And gauges? Again, thank you!
@time410s
@time410s 3 месяца назад
Interesting! I think you're on the money with the ideas you had. Zero might give you a little more power but Wasabi X will be less destructive to crosses and probably more comfortable. Among the polyester options, I do think Wasabi X would be among some of the best to try. ENSO might also offer you quite a bit of power in that round shape that is not destructive and offers a lot of spin. Both should offer way more snapback than pretty much any.

Oh, interesting. That's a really tough choice. If it's not too late, I'd highly suggest getting a cross string like wasabi x or sync Zero plays a bit stiffer. It's tricky to suggest one over the other in a full bed but I'd likely suggest a hybrid with the cross strings mentioned over either in a full bed. What tension do you usually do?

Can't really suggest a synthetic, it would definitely lose more spin than sync. Sync is one of the best spin crosses. It might get beaten out by wasabi x but only barely. I guess zero if you want more tension hold over time but I think 50 would feel quite tight. Wasabi plays looser and softer.

Awesome! It is an easier string to keep straight while stringing but also in general, it just doesn't stick out of place like a typical string and that is one of the coolest things! It's been a while! I feel this dead stiffness from alu power. Hard to compare. Zero had a more crisp stiffness if that makes sense. If you try and have findings of your own please let me know. I left alu power behind a long time ago because it broke so fast for me and was quite expensive haha. Funny enough I think the last time I used it was in the crosses with zero. Zero broke faster because of the increased friction from alu power. I forget why I did that. I think I ran out of string or wanted to use up my alu power...

I just ordered Wasabi X using your discount code. Planning to try Restring Zero 1.23 mains and Wasabi X crosses to compare against the K-Pro (Wasabi mains, Caviar crosses) on my 2023 Vcore 95. Do you suggest that I string the Wasabi X crosses at the same tension as my Zero mains (43 lbs)?
@time410s
@time410s 7 месяцев назад
I generally go up about 2lbs with Wasabi X if Zero is in the mains. I actually tend to do this anyway but especially with Zero. I did it 3lbs higher the other day when I used 16g Zero for mains and Wasabi X. Kind of depends on the racquet but I would at least say that I'll probably never go lower than the same tension as mains and I'm more likely to go a little higher, depending on things...
@glademaster
@glademaster 7 месяцев назад
@@time410sthanks. What drives your decision about how many pounds higher to go on the crosses? Is it the launch angle, tension drop difference after a few hits, pocketing/dwell time, or something else?
@time410s
@time410s 7 месяцев назад
well I believe Zero will hold tension better so I string Wasabi X a little higher partly for that reason. It's also a little thinner/softer. Those are the driving reasons in that setup. It's mostly about evening out any differences than it is anything else. Some rackets have really tightly spaced mains and open crosses (the shift pro is a good example) and on that one, I might be tempted to go higher on the crosses. Some dunlops are the opposite, in which case I might go same or lower on crosses. It really depends. Some of it's an impulse thing and some of it is a matter of getting ot know the racket. Some people do it because they think the crosses need more tension to overcome the friction of weaving it through the mains. I find my strings of choice have much less friction than other strings, so do people also consider how much string to string friction there is between different strings? Because it won't all be the same. Some go lower because they think that pulling tension on the crosses increases the tension on the mains. It's such a rabbit hole. I could go on haha. There are several common reasons but none of them, in my opinion, are super informed but they do come from a logical place but can often be challenged or dismissed pretty easily with more logic or data. Some go lower on crosses because the distance is shorter, so they think the relative tension should be lower. However, many don't realize that the relative tension IS lower because it has to overcome that friction... People's reasons vary a lot but I have my own reaons and they are somewhat informed and rational haha. But if you're serious about getting things just right, it will be a trail and error thing with each racket, string, tension, technique, hybrid....etc. But you get a feel for things as you go along and now that I don't mess around with other strings, really, the variations are pretty minimal on my end.

Hi, what strings would you recommend for Gravity MP? Full bed, no hybrids.
@time410s
@time410s 3 дня назад
Ha, I like how this "no hybrids" question comes up a lot. It's tough because with hybrids, I feel I have to make no compromises. I can select for exactly what I want in a bed by splitting the differences but this forces me to make some sacrifices that are ultimately frustrating. Zero 17g would be up there, as would Sync. They would be pretty matched in tension hold but Zero would win out in spin and Sync in feel/control. Neither by a huge margin. I might prefer how Zero plays but prefer the feel of Sync. I'd obviously prefer the hybrid of both. with Toroline...ether and toro toro come to mind, either as a full bed since I have to pick. I wouldn't hybrid those.

@time410s
@time410s 7 месяцев назад
I have not but I have tried Caviar a few times and while it's a solid string, it comes with a noticable trade-off in snapback/topspin/durability for me. So it's not worth the sacrifice in my case and using it as a cross will eat into the snapback of Wasabi and it makes me less interested.

What's your take on Grapplesnake Gamechanger? They definitely get the spin out of the square shape but it's so much spin that you can't even properly hit flat. How does it compare to these? @@time410s It was good after stringing (22kg); now, 20h of playing or so later it's kinda lost. But the spin and power is still massive. I definitely don't think it's a perfect string, for me it fails on strokes where I can't adjust the swing path to avoid sending the ball too high such as my backhand, I don't consider them a keeper, but if your thing is that ultimate spin I sincerely doubt there's anything like it. Im a little confused. Why did you break multifilament / gut in less than a week? Do you play with a fullbed? I play everyday as well for 2hrs average and I've never had these issues. I used to use Alu Power mains/ Gut or Multi cross with a 18x20 pattern Currently I am a restring zero user as well, purely for the durability and tension maintenance but I always thought if I had the $$ and time I would use a multifil/gut hybrid for best performance & feel. And by performance I mean Power & Spin & Feel. Also I'm kinda confused on the snapback implementation, I thought snapback was used to see if the string elasticity is still there. It's how I check if my poly strings need to be changed. But from this video my understanding is that snapback is solely responsible for performance?
@time410s
@time410s 8 месяцев назад
Snapback is a very large contributor to topspin and a side effect happens to be great gains in durability as well I have no reason to use multi or so on. They break very soon for me and I get way less spin. Full bed or not... Zero chance it lasts me more than an hour or two. Full bed maybe less. You use an 18x20 which would buy me a little more time for me there's nothing to appreciate. Less spin and it breaks much sooner. Regular poly breaks for me in a few hitting sessions (until zero or wasabi was discovered) so imagine how much less multi would last. There's just nothing in it for me.

I use their 17g. Wasabi X is measured to be the same but it's visually more thin but the shape is different. I don't know how strings are measured. Like a shaped vs round string can't technically be the same thickness because the shaped will have the corner to corner length or side to side and that'll be less. 1.23, is the mm. It matters but it's not like that isn't the goal sometimes. I think going thicker in mains can be very clever! I just adjust with tension a bit.

Do you have a recommendation as to how I might I just my preferred tension so that I do not have to lose or cut out the string? I'm specifically interested about what you said in regards to zeros in the main and wasabi's in the cross and why you would choose that instead of wasabi in the main, and zero in the processes given that wasabi would likely be more spin-friendly. In terms of the recommendation, I plan to only play with 17 gauge if that affects anything.

So Wasabi X, if you didn't quite catch it, is a different string from Wasabi. It's the same string but round pretty much. So very slippery but smooth and as a cross that's ideal. Which is why I prefer Wasabi X to Wasabi or Zero in the crosses or as a full bed. Does that make sense? I'd do the same tension but do your crosses a couple lbs higher than you would what you did on the other setups.

Hey, welcome to tennis! I'd suggest trying around 52lbs and see how you feel about it. Give it a few hits or days before deciding. It also depends a bit on your stringer. If you take to a shop, different people might have different skill or technique and this can result in the same tension request actually feeling different. For now, try not to get too in your head about it but if you want to be really smart about it, try to have the same person string the second or third time and that way, you should only be getting a different tension and not a different person/techique/machine etc.

Hi @time410s first of all thanks for the videos I’m a tour bite user looking for a more comfortable and spin set on my vc95. What I like about the tour bite is that crispness. Really looking forward to use wasabi x in the crosses on my next setup but I don’t know which one to use in the mains: Restring zero 17, wasabi carbon or super toro? I’d prefer the 6 sided ones because probably they would SnapBack easier on the rounded wasabi x. Which one would you recommend?
@time410s
@time410s 6 месяцев назад
Hey, thank you! I will say right away that you might be surprised to see that both zero and wasabi seem to snapback equally well. They are both genuinely unreal with that snapback. Like, I don't even know if it's physically possible to get any better than those do so I wouldn't fret about shape affecting snapback on these strings. That being said, you'd probably find Zero to be more crips. You also might appreciate Ether! Ether is my new favorite (among my other favorites of course) and I'm getting to know supertoro as we speak so I can't quite speak on it with authority yet. Wasabi X might not be the most crisp string but it's not dead/muted. Zero is cripsy. Many confidential people are happy with zero's familiarity. Lmk what you do and what you think! I think zero and wasabi x even each other out to a nice feel of crisp comfort.

Perfect thanks again for such a detailed feedback. That really makes a difference in your channel. I feel like the more shaped the string, the higher the launch angle so in my case as I’m an advanced player, a non predictable launch angle affects your control/confidence in match plays. Probably that’s why round polys like 4g or Ali are appreciated by the pros. The touch shots such as slices and drops shots are much easier on round polys too. With that being sad, I’d be happy if zero were round. Are the 6 sides of zero really sharp like grapple snake game changer? Thanks again. Really keen on pulling the trigger on zero mains 1,23 / wasabi x crosses 1,23 Both at 46 pounds. Cheers!

Sorry to see your other reply late. I think part of what makes a shaped string less consistent is the change in surface. You never know quite what edge you'll get on any given area of a stringbed where as with round, it's all the same. Additionally you have mediocre snapback so the strings literally fall out of position all the time. I'm curious what your thoughts will be. I hope you like it but even if you don't I think it's worth a try because it is truly insane what that snapback does. I love spin. The more spin I can generate the more I can control the ball. A lot of my technique is based on what degree to which I can do that so it has opened doors for me that other strings couldn't. Please let me know. They are coming out with a round string and toroline released ENSO which I'll study more but that also had amazing snapback and it's round, more crisp than Wasabi X. Could be something to think about... I'll be testing it more very soon.

What gauge of the Wasabi do you use? I noticed that they have a 1.25 vs. a 1.23 - not sure why they're offering such a small gap in gauge size as two different options, and wondering if they play noticeably different from each other.
@time410s
@time410s 8 месяцев назад
I just asked about that size and why it's such a small difference. I've had both but rarely use the larger one. Probably because it's durable enough and that green isn't my first choice color. Toroline told me: we decided to do wasabi green in 1.23 and kept 1.25 for players already using it They initially made it in the larger size but decided to go down later but kept the original since some already liked that.

My pleasure! I have yet to try snapper. I have tried Toro Toro though and ENSO. Enso definitely surprised me with the power. Still getting to know it, I've tried in a few beds and a couple racquets. But I might still prefer Wasabi X although I'm taking more time just to be sure about that.

@@time410s I've been hitting a full bed Enso in a Head Speed Pro. It's already a consideration for my top string after only 2 outings. I generally like to take big cuts with lower power strings and generate my own power, so was surprised that I enjoyed the extra pop from Enso. The power to spin balance is just right so I'm hitting a much heavier ball without needing to alter my swing. The precision and pocketing are excellent. I prefer round strings or smoother shaped ones to heavily shaped strings in this racquet. I used to play a Babolat Pure Aero extended with Mayami Big Spin and could really bully opponents with torpedo topspin, but needed to shift to a more comfy set-up due to wrist issues. With this set up I have more comfort and much better control, hit with more pace and only slightly less spin. I'm getting a set of snapper with my next Esno order to compare and will revert back. It's supposed to be more powerful with similar or slightly more spin whilst providing similar comfort but not sure if I will get the same level of control. That is great! I wish it didn't take so much time to test a racquet out when you really want to know it. Takes a few tries of a few tensions of a few strings...before you have a great idea and then you need to compare again to be sure. Time consuming as heck. I'm teasing the idea of the Gravity MP again a bit. I have Toro Toro mains and Pink Enso crosses around 53lbs. Feels kind of stiff/boardy. Not ideal. Is it the racquet? Idk...haven't tried this combo ever. Might try again soon with Ether mains and Wasabi X crosses at the same tension or slightly lower, hoping it feels better. So far still seem to like the PA98 over everything no matter what variation of string/tension I seem to do.
@never-dink
@never-dink 4 месяца назад
@@time410s It is indeed time consuming to find the optimatl set up, and I firmly believe it's a different combination for every stick. If max topspin is your goal, I'd probably stick to the PA98 and find the best combo for that particular racquet as it's one of the better spin/control blends out there. For what it's worth, Enso pro pink softens up after 10 min, plays well and stays very controlled at 48 lbs in the Head Speed Pro in a full bed so there's definitely the possibility to reduce tension.

Not a lot just average. Depends on the toroline you are asking about stringing. But 50 is a smart start. See what you think and adjust next time. You'll never get it right the first time. Even if you do, you might wonder if you did so you'll try a different tension only to see you prefer the first time. I think 50 is a great starting tension in that racquet. I tried both Toroline (caviar) guage 16L, 1.24mm and Restring (sync), gauge 1.25, with gut, gauge 17/1.25mm, in mains in Yonex VCore 95.. Before with Solinco Tourbite (gauge 17/1.25mm), after 2-4 hours of playing (depending on the moisture in the air, sometimes less then 2 hours), the gut strings would break, now with both, Toroline and Restring, I have to cut out the strings, as they get too loose. After playing for 2 months with both of strings, I have a slight preference for Caviar, can't pinpoint exactly why, but have more confidence in my swing with it. I tried restring zero and wasabi because of your reviews. Wasabi feels a little too soft, but restring zero is hands down my all time favourite. It feels like it's a perfect recreational player's string, unlike the "famous" polys, which are seem mainly built for pros who can generate massive speed and spin on their own, and who can swap in a fresh racket every hour or so.

My two cents over here. I use two identical/matched ps97 v14s. I currently have restring zero on one and wasabi on the other. Both at 24-23kg tension. First of all after 1.5 month and about 15hours of playtime neither has noticeable notching nor loss of snap. The fact that I dont see notching is crazy, I usually start to see notching after one hour of playtime with hyper g, continental. They still play very similar to the way that play right after the initial tension loss. Playability is still great. And they’re very similar. However there is a clear difference between the two. Zero offers noticeable more control and wasabi offers more launch angle which makes it feel livelier. Also wasabi feels a little softer.

Wasabi X is truly special and Torline is coming out with more great strings with similar crazy levels of snapback! I'm excited to finally see string companies offer something truly different or WAY better in a few particular ways. Happy to see it. @time410s 6 месяцев назад
Nice! That's a good move. I generally do crosses a bit lower with zero if it's in a full bed. 2-4lbs sounds about right since it's a bit stiffer and slippery, you don't need to pull so hard on the crosses to overcome the friction that most other strings will. So, reducing cross tension will more closely mimic the net tension difference between cross and mains on a typical string.
@Richibald1
@Richibald1 8 месяцев назад
I rewound 6x trying to understand what string you refer too as slightly more power with more elasticity when stringing. (around the 19-20 min mark) . Yup very determined I was I was because with every spin string there seems this oh so common* refrain. A discernable drop in power. You see I LIKE power so you were tripping real clanger alarm bells. Sure I'll make a guess but wow just couldn't pick up what elastic string with more power you are referring too in your dialogue. Freakishly frustrating but still appreciate your candid opinion. Are you saying Quadro Twist gets the nodd for more power and elasticity than Restring or Wasabi? I've hit with RPM Blast quite a bit, its6ooook nothing spectacular if I'm being honest. BTW a Wasabi X review would be awesome if you haven't already... Thanks 👍

@time410s 8 месяцев назад
Haha was the audio weird or just the way it was phrased? Quadrotwist is a pretty powerful and somewhat launchy string. Quite soft. Everyone seems to string it at least a few lbs higher. It gets the edge in free power vs zero for sure. Wasabi has a little more free power and it's also a little softer. Wasabi X probably even a bit more powerful! Hope that helps. Maybe quadrotwist gets more power overall but again most string high because it's too much. Might be worth considering these strings and trying lower but between the two, wasabi and wasabi x are more powerful at the same tension vs zero. Hope that helps

Thank goodness for the ability to clarify in comments! Yeah well wasabi x specifically in the crosses. I don't think I'd prefer it as a full bed to something with zero or wasabi in the mains with it. I did say that! There's a bit of a rabbit hole to that advice you hear and I have my own takes on them and will make a video soon. But, in this case, yes. Higher. It's a different string, it's a thinner and softer string. To bring it's playing traits closer to whichever you use as a main (zero or wasabi) you'll want it a little higher. Similar to if you were to do a hybrid of 16g mains and 17g crosses of the same strings. Not only do I agree with this but it's also literally Toroline's advice and before stringing, I compared the feel and stiffness and thickness and came to this conclusion myself. Same string same gauge, sometimes going lower in crosses is clever but it depends! That rabbit hole is for a different time haha

@time410s
@time410s 8 месяцев назад
It's not as simple as head size either. I was going to get into this for a video but if you take the Wilson Shift, for example, especially the Pro model, the crosses are super far apart compared to the mains. It's probably how 44lbs felt so loose in the 18x20 Pro but just about right in a much tigher spaced and smaller headed Yonex Ezone 98. The further spaced crosses mean the individual tension of each string is spaced much further apart. So if you measure 4 mains and 4 crosses, the total tension might be the same but if you measure in inches or cm, there's much less total tension across the X axis than the Y per unit of length. so on a racquet like the Shift Pro I think there's a great argument for going higher in the crosses.

I often would but hybrid isn't uncommon and my reasons are that a shaped string doesn't necessarily have a purpose in the crosses. The best thing about the cross being the same string is that it's the same string...so they should age identically (more or less) but if you get a different string you can combine traits. Wasabi x being round and softer but equally slippery, means I can get all the same benefits for spin (maybe more) but introduce a bit more comfort to the stringbed with seemingly no other sacrifice.

changing the amount of surface area doesn't change the amount of frictional force experienced during relative movement, note there is no area term in the equation for frictional force f = \mu N. the narrator in the intro here states that changing the string shape changes the amount of friction, and it's quite a common misconception in general to corelate area with frictional force, but the frictional force is only dependent on two things, the co-efficient of friction and the normal force. string shape does affect other things though which assists this illusion, such as "bite" on a ball @@time410s
@time410s
@time410s 7 месяцев назад
Hmm I might have meant string to ball friction as well. Surface area doesn't change the frictional force... So a bigger gauge wouldn't affect that? And shape wouldn't either? Maybe you'd like to separate grip and friction. I think of wider tires having more grip because of the increased surface area and different tread patterns increasing grip or friction with the ground Just thinking on those to get away from thinking about strings for this idea
@steinanderson9849
@steinanderson9849 7 месяцев назад
friction can be un-intuitive, for instance an object of the same mass and same material takes the same amount of force to make it slide across a surface whether the contact area is a 1cm2 or 1000cm2! grip and friction are definitely two separate concepts, in relation to strings people say the shaped strings "bite" the ball, but grip is a more correct term - the tennis ball surface deforms around the string profile more and creates positive drive, not just frictional. all in all though, around 90% of spin comes from the properties of the contact - angle/velocity etc , and only 10 to maybe 15% from the properties of the string (according to tennis warehouse university). This made me remember that @time410s (anybody knows his name, by chance?) actually tried once Ultra Cable just because it was the #1 spin string according to the TWU database (just FYI they don't directly measure spin, they do a string-on-string and string-on-ball friction test, and the "spin potential" is just the quotient of both). I already tried a full bed in my E-Zone 98, so I have my own Impressions -not amazed tbh, although like any aggressively shaped poly, it would surely benefit from a rounded cross-, but I'm curious to know his impressions. For sure, it won't come close to Zero/Wasabi, but still. Is the #1 somehow justified? Because I don't feel it had any more bite or snapback than, say, Silver 7 Tour or Focus Hex (which are actually pretty decent strings, if not great, even regardless of price).

Wow, this video raised SO MANY questions, even though essentially you didn't discover anything that new (I mean, that you hadn't been saying almost in every video for the last year). 1. How would you say both strings perform in the areas that don't involve spin? Power, pocketing, volleys, serves, launch angle in flat shots (consistency), feel, touch... whatever you can think of where you may have impressions. 2. The only other company I've heard that using similar methods arrived to close results is Grapplesnake, mainly with M8 which you already tried and thought it wasn't as great as Zero (but there may be others, dunno they have like 30 string names). But would you say it's the one that comes closer of the rest? Or in other words, that being clearly below Z/W, it's also clearly ahead of the rest? If not, what would be your pick if Z/W didn't exist? (in terms of snapback). 3. As you say you are in touch with the people at ReString, could you STRONGLY encourage them to please start selling in Europe soon, be it through TW, Tennis-point, Tennispro, Amazon, Carrefour, Lidl, I don't care, the one that gets them the best deal but soon please 😂... Then try the string and judge for yourself. I used both and honestly never going back from wasabi at this point

From wasabi? That means you must be loyal to Wasabi unless that was a typo. I don't understand if your comment is designed to accuse me of being dishonest or bias because of a sponsorship or not. And I was never pushing anyone away from Zero or Wasabi to the other at all. So I don't follow your comment but you are welcome to clarify. If you are a Wasabi fan, great! It's an amazing string and one of my favorite all time strings.

@time410s - you can get restring zero - in a reel, as they offered thisto me in a reel around 2 weeks ago- as i emailed them asking when the 1.23mm string in a 16quantatity box will become avaliable as it rang out around 1 month ago- they replied back confirming new date of stock but also asked me to be the first person to try the new reel - i declined the reel as prefer the box of 16 - they should be offering the reel to everyone on thr website = very soon. But got to agree with you with wasabi and restring zero - lasts 50% longer than competition. I have the restring zero as my best string then totoline as just close 2nd. Toroline sent me 2 free packs of the wasabi with wasabi x = waiting to try this. I generally play zero / wasabi in full bed at 48lbs -use the new prince 98 tour 16x19 racet - would tension did you use the wasabi x at?

Nice! I gotta check in on the new reel. I always string Wasabi X a couple lbs higher or so. Depends. Like if it's 16g zero I might even go another extra pound or two. But it seems always a little higher. In my PA98s I haven't been going lower than 52 recently. As high as 55 with wasabi. I think even zero once.
