@@auntlynnie and using the proper tool, like a mandolin. Plus you can get one of those guards for slicing on a mandolin and never get hurt again.

“How do you burn things in the microwave?” Well, to answer your question that wasn’t really meant to be answered, when I was younger, I as afraid of the oven so I tried to microwave things whenever I could. One day, I had an English muffin and was told that I would still have to put it in the oven because the microwave wouldn’t heat the inside. So I decided instead to put it in the microwave for a few minutes instead. My English muffin started to get burnt and started to smoke. Thankfully nothing happened, but I learned the hard way that day that you can’t just cook non-liquid things like bread in the microwave for that long.

Boy do I have you beat here. For some reason, when I was a kid, I decided to put an empty plastic bowl in the microwave for 9999, just however many 9s my microwave could take. Let's just say we got a new microwave.

Least you didn’t put a whole Arby’s roast beef sandwich (still wrapped in its wrapper) in your parents’ brand new microwave & have the metal from the wrapper create holes in the roof of the microwave 😬

My favourite recipe I learned this year was for homemade Twix bars, they were even sweetened with maple syrup, so no refined sugar! Everyone seems to love them.

I learned how to make my own yogurt from my bf's mom in Feb 2020 and 1) never bought it in the store ever since cause it's the best thing ever and store yogurt tastes bland and fake now 2) never stopped making it once every few days since then

I saw the cucumber sub one for the first time last week and have made it 4 times since! I did like Chris said and cut it up into bite-size pieces but also left it as an "open-face" sandwish and its way easier to eat!

Rachel, if you love the skillet cookie, you’d love slutty brownies. Cookie dough base, Oreos in the center, brownie batter poured on top and then bake in the oven.
