I have RA in my knees and hips, well everywhere but right now it’s my knee and hips and it is truly driving me to the point of exhaustion!! I’m at the end of my rope and idk what to do, I don’t want to go on pain killers or any narcotics but it’s looking really good at the moment, some nights I seriously cry myself to sleep, I can’t afford knee surgery, not because of the surgery but I can’t afford to take the healing time off. So basically I’m screwed!!

@andre lourenco yes. You have to retake the shot every year, but still, it is a good solution. You still need to be in a good shape for the best results. Normal weight and strong leg muscles.
I have arthritis on both knees and condromalacia patella on right side. I was told just to strengthen muscle, thighs, glutes and cuffs. No injection nor surgery. My PT said everyone has arthritis at some level but people who train even a bit constantly can play sports with no pain. Also no sugar no junk food and less flour. I’ve been doing it and feel the difference.
I too have chondromalacia patella along with other issues on one same knee (both hurt but the left one is the worse ) but a PT told me that it isn’t different than knee arthritis 😓. Can I ask you why do you mention arthritis and chondromalacia as two different things . Isn’t chondromalacia what leads to arthritis?
@@jackiealv6547 When I started to have knee pain, it was only right side. MRI report said chondromalacia patella grade 2. The cartilage damage behind the kneecap right? I thought that’s the only issue. But I took X-rays for both knees just in case, then the Dr said I have arthritis inside of both knees. I actually could see that too. Almost bone to bone for both sides but I didn’t/don’t have pain on the left side at all. I guess I separate chondromalacia patella and arthritis because 1) the location of the cartridge damage is different, 2) the grade is different, 3) the pain is different. That’s me though.
@@YB-lotusthanks for taking the time to reply . Yes, you’re right . Chondromalacia patella means the damage of cartilage specifically behind the knee cap . However (this is what the PT I saw told me ) , it comes down to the same thing : deterioration of the knee cartilage and the patella is considered on of the many parts that make up the joint . Therefore (he said ), chondromalacia is early arthritis. Hope you’re doing better , have a good one .
Please everyone here with knee pain pay close attention to if your glute/hamstring muscles are engaging with your core as you walk/run/ go on stairs. There is hope for you if you can train those muscle groups and relearn to walk by using those muscle groups. Also beef up those calf’s. This will massively reduce a lot of issues. Hopefully not everyone here is too far gone. You can see massive improvements in as little as 2 weeks if u have little to no engagement/activation of the glute/hamstrings which people often forget to train….forcing quads to become too dominant and putting excessive pressure on your knees. Also go through your diet and learn what things are inflammatory to your joints and start cutting them out. This is more important than you think and you would be surprised at what your eating being a trigger. Start adding tumeric and anti-inflammatory foods into your diet. Good luck to you all. Hopefully knee injections / surgery aren’t in your future.

yeah me neither. The injection of hialuronic asid product for joints help a lot better and it will save your joint if you start with it early after the injury or when you first experience pain. It's applied once a year for most products of that sort
It is not true that these injections help for arthritis, I have two cases in my family that have taken them and they have become even worse. The fluid that is given inside the knees is used up after three months and you still have to be injected, so this process is exhausting and costs a lot. The solution to this problem is surgery. Many athletes have undergone knee surgery and are active, while those who have received injections are passive. This is an advertisement for their profit and not for people who suffer and have pain. Please think before you act because it is too late.
@@norsinmarwan3432 You can use bovine gelatin every day for a whole month and the body and bones are supplied with nutrients for six months and after six months the procedure is repeated. You can get gelatin in pharmacies or where Bio foods are sold and there they give instructions on how to use it.

Climb the ladder upward it will help strengthening your muscles but if you want to climb down the staircase use the reverse method this will avoid shock or jerk on the knees
@@lolissalcido4922 I doubt it. I just went in today after eating for a few months for gel injections to work. Dr. Said I need a total knee replacement. So it hasn’t worked for me and also two of my friends that tried.
This looks like a good treatment compared to the bloody ones that the bones were getting hammered like wood😢 Loosing weight and stretching deffently takes stress off the feet . Knees and hips😮

@@sabarizvi8730 Monovisc works for me, they have several different brands. This one is a one time injection every 6 months, some are several injections over several months. It hurts a bit going in because of the amount of fluid they are putting in at one time but it’s not unbearable, just uncomfortable. After my first treatment it took about 3 weeks and I was fine, walking, riding a bike, I just stopped doing squats and deep knee bending.
Hyaluronic acid is expensive. I paid $600 for one shot but the Dr. Stole my hyaluronic and replaced it with something else. The pain was intense after whatever tFk he injected. Some Canadian doctors are mthfker thieves.
This is gell injection. I had it done, but after 3 months I'm back to severe pain. I was bone on bone on both knees. Now I have total knee replacement on both knees. I'm feeling so much better with no pain. 😊
Somebody is hiding the name of the injection for two reasons I believe, one it's a lie or secondly not to promote this particular injection as they all (pharmaceutical companies) fight to gain turf and loads of money no matter if their products help or not. It's all about money.

@@quiducha I 100% regret the 3 gel injections I got. Each shot made it increasingly worse. I was told it doesn’t work for everyone but absolutely no one told me it would make my already horrible knee pain worse. Now I have to get a knee transplant. I could have gone on longer without having one if I hadn’t gotten those damn shots.

I don’t understand why (probably don’t make enuf $$$$) a surgeon cannot just replace the cushion/meniscus portion, (“a retread so to speak”) of the knee & shave down any bothersome structures s.a. bone spurs etc. instead of removing and replacing the whole joint. The thought of replacement but it seems barbaric and the pain/recovery just afterward extreme. But the pain I am in is not pleasant either. At 69, with no chronic conditions thus far, I guess I should bite the bullet! 😢
I haven’t had this injection only cortisol shots that don’t last anymore . But I started taking cissus quadrangularis highest dose as possible and I’m am soo amazed at how much it has relieved my knee pain! I am bone on bone and have suffered for years. I have been able to get up and do more sleep without pain, I have been decreasing my hydrocodone pain meds where before they were just taking the edge of. When the barometer goes up I take a couple more for those days. Takes a couple of weeks to start working which is normal for natural supplements.
I had two injections 3 months ago and I feel alot better since, before this my knee was swollen after a minor effort or after standing too long, know it's back to almost normal.

Mine said the same. Then she said, “ want me to run it through your rx insurance”? Duh. Yes please. It was covered. I did all 3 shots a week apart. Each time it got worse. But no worries, they said it could take 8 weeks to kick in. Well my knee got worse and worse. I could actually feel like slimy movement in my knee. After waiting and being in worse pain then prior to these gel injections I signed up for total knee replacement. I just got my staples removed and wish I hadn’t done the gel at all. If anything it moved up my replacement as it accelerated my pain. Also if you are not skinny? Don’t bother.

I learned a calf workout that involves walking and slight calf raises and now i cant even walk like how i used to I used to walk by bending my knees but now i used my ankles and almost leap forward to walk) i recommend people try to alternate between the two but little warning it causes calf cramps and the calves gets hard/stiff, gets really sore from the motion very frequenly but you'll get great looking calves
