@@PrimeAutotainment I got one question for you,I have about 22000 miles on my Camaro, when should I replace the tires? The tread still looks good to me but I want your professional opinion?
Sosua Pimp it can be hard to say with those tires. If they still look good and tread depth is good I’d keep them but from what I’ve heard and seen it seems like close to 30k on the stock tires it might be time to look at them closely. If you’re not burning out or doing hard corners they should last pretty well. But I’d be extra careful since your car is a beast and needs good tires 👍
@@baxterc7913 eh, my friend got a 2018 matte black G63 as his first car, i think hes 17? have a video on my instagram too lol, but some parents buy theirs kids expensive cars, granted the G63 is probably 3 times the price of the camaro, but still.
I've recently traded my 2015 Mustang GT in for a 2018 Camaro! I got the Hotwheel Edition, though. 😉 All I gotta do now, is get the rest of the money to pay up on it, and get it delivered, since I'm living out of state. But I'm one happy Girl right now. Lol!
Dude you are awesome. Your vibe is so chill which is refreshing. A lot of the other car review guys are like hyped on caffeine all the time. Keep it up man! Happily subscribed!
CORRECTION: I stated the manual MPG. Automatic tranny MPG is 17/27. At 21:13 I said Brembos are only in 2SS, but they’re also on 1SS. Thanks for watching! So what did you think? I got to review a Mustang GT the same day! See it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ANWhxTxDE9M.html I appreciate your support and if you liked the video please give it a 👍 and subscribe for weekly videos!
I just got my 2SS and I had a 1999 Firebird Transam and the Firebird has more blind spots than the Camaro does. So I’m happy with the car and I don’t believe that it’s got that much of a blind spot at all. Jmo
Kim Chapell Ugh if that Firebird is the same bodystyle as the 99’ Camaro, I believe ya! I used to take a turn coming from Milford, PA to Sussex, NJ and I was virtually blind doing it!
I may be losing 3/10th’s of a second in my Camaro with it being a manual 6 speed and all-But, my whole driving experience is infinitely more fun/exciting than it ever was with any of my automatic Camaros in the past. Just sayin😜. (My first 2 were both automatics, a ‘96 RS and a ‘96 Z28) But this time I decided to go manual this 2018 2SS and I FUCKING LOVE IT!😁
‘18 > ‘19 , I know I’ll get bashed for this, but that 2019 SS is so weird looking. Especially if you’re in a state that has to put plates in the front as well as the back..
DeeJay32 the 2020 has the same front bumper as the 19. It’s a hideous bumper. If I EVER EVER bought a 19+, I’m immediately buying a ZL1 bumper and swapping out
I'm italian, Ferrari is my home, but I always dreamed having a camaro, I'd trade a Ferrari for one. P.S. I don't know THAT much of cars, but still something :D P.P.S. hope one day I'll be able to own one (even a 2000 camaro)
I was considering buying a Corvette next year but for the price of this vehicle and the performance and sound, I think I changed my mind. I'm gonna get a Camaro. Lol
wayne gergich I agree those older ones are sweet. You’ll have a ton of fun with a ZL1, I can’t imagine lol. But yes this one was definitely awesome too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review. Checking out a 1ss 6 speed now. I have driven a ratty old truck forever and have a few classic camaros. Figured the next daily, should be a camaro, something nice. They are really nice cars. 455 horse on tap, good looks...
Yea, don't know who gets blame for that front end, but they should be fired. On camaro6.com they seemed to like the tail lights, mixed on hood louvers, and HATED that new black bumper with the bow tie (flow tie) in the middle of it. Luckily, it's only on the SS - lower models and ZL1 were spared this disgrace.
What's up with the front headlights? How they pretty much flicker in and out? I'm seeing this on a lot of Camaros lately, can anyone explain? Is this some sort of tactic because surely it isn't coincidental..
Prime Autotainment I wonder what causes this reaction between the two.. I’m guessing it’s the same science that makes some car interiors look wavy whenever you take pictures or like whenever you take a picture of a computer monitor screen lol
It’s weird lol. I’ve read stuff and others have said why exactly...something to do with the rate the light is pulsing and rate if the camera shutter or something...confusing lol
Great video!! Very informative, and you sound like you know what ur talking about. (I wouldn’t know tho). I subscribed for sure! I’d love to see a Dodge Ram video
Thank you very much! Some cars I know a lot about and some I have to study a lot..either way I try to provide accurate info. I’d love to do a Ram, hopefully soon!
Bought this identical car last week Certified preowned with 1,200 miles on it sale price $32,900...The “Millennium Falcon” of cars! Does not even feel like am driving a car, more like a star ship. Is changing my personality.
Loving it. Color of mine is “Summit White” and is a 2018 2SS. Did spot a difference though with the exhaust. Mine has dual exhaust yet only two outlets instead of four. Not sure why that is with factory build and model.
Great to hear it! Don’t get too many tickets haha. For the car in the video it had the optional “dual mode performance exhaust” which was an $895 option
Fortunately live in rural area, no street lights or police at all and zero traffic....a deer bounding into path of car or a fallen tree in highway are top concerns. Plan to only open it up at nearby race way and even then take it easy. This car kicks ass big time!
Quinton TV Same, I used to be big on the new mustang's but now I love the Camaro so much better. It took a while to grow on me but I just love everything about it!
Thanks for the review! I have the 2012 ls v6, and am going to get the v8 model soon. Not sure which gen I will get, but I really like the tech in this year model. Hopefully the manual is as nice.
Especially from the inside! But, I must confess that almost all my cars, at least over the last 40 years, have had cockpit-like driving environments: 3rd gen Camaros, Eclipses/Talon, G35S, G37S - now 2017 2SS Camaro. This is my first with a head-up display, and it's GREAT.
I wish we could have nice cars like that over here in the UK! Just to fill the Camaro up in the UK we'd have to pay $122 rather than the US average of about $57! Even at a more respectable 15mpg (rather than the 5.9mpg shown in the vid) i'd still only get about 285 miles on a full tank. In comparison, my Mercedes would get about 960 miles if the tank was as big as the Camaros.
Maybe if you got a Camaro RS with a (24 valve DOHC) V6? Still plenty quick - 335HP, 20" wheels with 245/40 tires for razor-sharp handling. The exhaust even sounds great
I own a 2107 2SS and the NVH is pretty bad but I loved the way the car drove so much I compromised and figured I’d eventually switch out the run flats which I’m told are the culprit.
Yeah I believe it, tires make a huge difference. You’re right about how it drives lol...it’s so fun and super powerful. It’s like an addiction. Thanks for the input!
At first I was thinking "that doesn't sound like my experience" then I read farther, and realized I've had all-season non-run flats on for 5 of the 9 months I've owned it...
I have had my eye on a white one for a few weeks now and I believe I will go and buy it this weekend! Thanks for the very informative video, you sold me. 😁
What's the point of 6 gen camaros having back seats if one 5'9 person or taller can't fit in it? Also who thought of the interior of the 6th gen cuz it's visibility is ridiculous
I hang out with shorter people... The back seats are there for insurance reasons - keeps it in the sport coupe, rather than the sports car category. I got used to the visibility in a week. After 10 days, I don't even notice anymore...
SteevK69 I made up my mind i am going with the 2019. I wanted the zl1 1le but chevy here don’t sell manual camaro’s all automatic if i really want one it should be special order which is a different payment more expensive so I’m going with the 2019 zl1 i am really excited about it
Grey doesn't show dirt. Also, is near-invisible to cops - they're not pointing their radar at you, unless you're really acting stupid. I got blue 'cause it's purty...
The lean in on the Media Display is to cut down on light reflection not only during daylight but at night as well. I use a tablet in my Acadia using a mounting bracket in the CD player slot. Anything greater than 90° or leaning into the dash, the ambient light washes out the display making it almost impossible to read anything on it...The same thing applies at night with headlights behind you.
I personally love the 5th Gen body style more than the 6th Gen ! But the 6th Gen is all around a better car performance wise. The 6 Gen lost a lot of weight & able to Accelerate faster with no lag due to its weight. Plus the exhaust sounds good which makes it a better car than the 5th gen. If only the 5th Gen was the same weight as the 6 Gen & have better exhaust. The 6 Gen V6’s are fast as hell for a V6 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds ??? That’s extremely good ! I love V8s but you gotta give the little brother (V6) some love I bet in two years when chevy put out a new 7th Gen V6’s they should hit 4.8 or 4.9. I can’t wait to trade in my 13 RS for an 17 SS
Man those V6s are pretty wild...never would expect that kind of performance especially for the price of the V6. Hope you enjoy your 17 SS when you get it 👍
After trading in my G37S on a 2SS, I saw a video (Matt Moran) really taking the V6 2LT RS through its paces and testing its limits. It seemed to handle a bit better than my SS, and the acceleration was even close. Plus, the exhaust sounded pretty mean - even without the dual-mode option! It had as much power as my old G37, and hendled as well, and is 2 tenths quicker to 60!
I tried it cause I like Cameros however the visibility is terrible. The a/c is in a bad place and no 10 speed, drive mode in a awn Full place. So I ordered a 2019 Mustang GT which is easy to see out of and everything located almost perfectly. I can only hope GM will wake up.
The 1le has 6 piston brakes and bigger rears too. The ones on this model are actually quite amazing with a track pad. Amazing track car. Mine is the same as this but 1ss and lives on the track and auto x.
The rear seats are useless. If you own a Camaro and have children, well, sell it and get a minivan. The legroom in the back is what makes this car NOT a 4 person passenger car. Not to mention the ZERO clearance headroom. Get a Cadilcac CTS V instead. It's a little more expensive, but its also got 640 hp. Did I mention its got 640 hp?
Better off with 2002 Firebird/Trans Am (esp WS6). Last year of Firebird, collector car. I was going to buy a 2002 Camaro Z28 SS for the same reason. Boy, would I have been pissed in 2010, when they started making them again...
have a SS full option with recaro seats in Europe... very unique here.. my car is the first one with Recaro seats :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d1Zb5n3g4nE.html Chevy is really up to date now... I drove a Ferrari 458 and it actually drives quite similar ! unbelievable track and throttle... only response and shifting is not that fast of-course.. but the way it handles and feels.. really competing German and Italian cars ! And design wise... amazing... I have constantly people breaking their neck to check my car
Nice vid, this everything I want and need in a sports car. I cannot wait to get my hands on one and to keep at that. I'll be looking for the 2019 camaro review in the near future for sure. Keep up the good work !
For sure, it was super fun and I wish I could have spent more time in it, plus get better camera shots while driving. Next time! I can’t wait either haha...I’ll get my hands on it as soon as I can. Thank you!
dude i love your review ill be subscribing! also live in the DFW metroplex and ill be sure to mention you if i ever make it in to get one of these! Cheers!
Have a 09 dodge challenger rt was really digging the Camaro and your vid made me love it even more lol awesome vid man looks like. It's time to trade for a Camaro haha
Hi, here commenting five years later, I am looking to buying a 2018 Camaro 2ss but it has been very difficult to find the color I want and I have only found it in the 2017 model, could someone please tell me what the difference are between the 2018 and the 2017 models……. Mean the body style, the interior, or the engine. I will appreciate any help!!!
