A friend once told me that this show is just Seinfeld but with Looney Tunes characters. To this day I’ve have never heard a better description for this show.
I think a lot of people like this show because it’s so slice of life, but it has iconic characters from our childhood having to do the things that we do In every day life and I think it’s very entertaining to watch and I think that’s why a lot of people love this show
I've grown to appreciate Lola Bunny in the series as a scattered brain but very wholesome though her femme fatal character in Space Jam will always stick in my head.
The animation of this show aged REALLY well... I still wonder why the fuck did it get canceled is beyond me (Also, purple-ish Bugs is the best design of the character, fight me)
@@nicolas._.2294cause I heard that there was a quarrel and between the staff and I wonder most of them have been shifted to other shows because of this matter
I feel otherwise. Lola in the movie was generally considered to be underdeveloped and not so amusing. If Wiig voiced Lola with the exact same personality as shown in Space Jam 2, she would be equally as bland and not as memorable as she was in TLTS. A voice is just a voice. Even worse is her reputation with the character can also be put on a bad light given how the movie flopped badly and the poor reputation surrounding it during its run. Realistically speaking, Kristen Wiig dodged the bullet. You can't just call something good or better just because someone you admire worked on it. Just my points.
Bro I really love your channel and how you look into show characters, as someone that wants to enter movie commentary how do you do research for your videos?
All the shows I’ve done, I watched as a kid (except for rick and morty) so I kind of already have an idea of how I’m going to talk about a character……..my advice, just make vids on shows that you like and don’t mind watching over again…..the ideas will start to come very easily.
Aight as a die hard Lola Fan, I do agree that Lola in LTS was one of the best characters in that series and was pretty funny however. That’s not really Lola, she’s more of Kristen Wigg self insert if anything and it kinda bugs me that people auto assume she’d work in a regular Looney Tunes Series when I really doubt it If you want a Lola that would 100% in a Regular Looney Tunes Series, I’d stick to her appearances in The DC Looney Tunes Comics, she was funny, she still had her personality from Space Jam with it being more fleshed out and she was just Lola, no changes really needed and that’s why I kinda wish Looney Tunes as a Franchise would go back to that version of her Nowadays, she’s constantly being changed with her personality differing so much and New Legacy is one of the more disappointing films for me as a Looney Tunes fan, people act like Kristen Wigg VA-ing Lola would have fixed her character when it realistically wouldn’t, that version of Lola was really disappointing, her personality there was just… non-existent unless you count “Seriousness” or smth, which is disappointing because in the comic adaptation she was fleshed out more to be a character who didn’t like to use her Cartoon Physics and would rather do stuff normally and to me the film encompassed why I think Warner doesn’t care about this character From what I remember, Warner announced that Kath (Lola’s original VA) was gonna reprise her role and then immediately retracted that statement and recasted her with Zendaya for “better marketing” and what stings even worse is that the director for New Legacy outright called the people who criticized what they did with the film “horny freaks” to me New Legacy was a disappointment and I’d say character assassination, you have Bugs giving up which he shouldn’t, Marvin having 5 seconds of screen time, Daffy reverting back to only his Chuck Jones personality and Pepe being outright gone So, in my opinion the best version of Lola to me will always be her DC Comic Appearances however I do agree that LTS Lola is pretty funny even if she wouldn’t really fit nicely in a Regular Looney Tunes Series
True. I mean, some users keep saying the "LTS Lola fits into Looney Tunes", as in the older ones... Nevermind that we have already seen those who appear in the Warner Brothers "Looney" Cartoons that have similar personalities... And they are either really disturbing, very disliked, or both, meaning most of them are either one-shot characters, or those that outstay their welcomes end up killing the Shows. (One of the reasons Animaniacs ended up getting cancelled was due to one of the characters overstaying her roles.) And to be Honest, most like to ignore that Lola in the OG Space Jam, has a very similar personality to Jessica Rabbit... And Jessica has a very spicy personality. I also poked around at the comics thanks to your suggestion... And I was quite surprised at how Cheeky she was, at how much of a smart-aleck she could be, how Gung-ho she was... And how she was on the butt of several jokes, while dishing them right back. It makes me wonder why she was never given an appearance in the Looney Tunes Cartoons with that personality, especially since she worked pretty well both with Bugs Bunny, and without him, making her a very flexible Bunny. By comparison, TLS Lola... Lacks those Smart-aleck moments and being on the Butt of many Jokes... And she talks too much, while also relying too Much on Bugs being in her presence at least once for her jokes to work. I mean, she was alright for TLS, but if we put her in any other Looney Tunes cartoon, she would stick out in all the wrong ways. (I mean, some people have tried to portray TLS Lola as a "Feminist Icon"... Yet she has to rely on Bugs existing for her Jokes to work, and she fits into the stereotype of "Annoyingly overtalkative Blond"... And she never seems to become the butt of a joke.)
Yeah I hate dumb blonde stereotypes will if I underestimate about I would really suggest she wouldn’t create so much and clumsy but it has to blend of somehow familiar to Betty cooper in Archie comics that would create a fantastic role and Tina would be Veronica ironically speaking honestly it would create a greater combination of that if I highly recommend that idea
