I experienced issues where my audio was crackling but it was the audio through my headphones, not my mic audio. Noticed the “buf:” in settings by my output was listed as “buf:1024” even with the setting being 512. Changed my setting to MME instead of WDM and it fixed. For some reason the buffer rate wouldn’t go down to 512 on my device. So if you’re having any issue like this, it’s because your buffer rates don’t match.

thank you. ive been using voicemeeter for a long time now but today i had to reinstall my os so i reinstalled vm as well and i didnt know my old settings. my friends could hear my in game sounds and if i watch a video. couldnt find a fix and your video simply explaining the As and Bs fixed it. one tip for the crackling sound you get sometimes, its not necessary to match frequencies but it's recommended... the crackling sound appears when the input has a different frequency to the output but you can just change the output to "MME" if you have "WDM" selected or vice-versa, you can also do this with the input... i use "MME" instead of "WDM" and it works the same way as it should, you can also go to the output and use de "EQ" and lower (when i mean lower just completely low" the low notes and the high notes... doing that and using "intelipan" to make it lower and a bit higher will complement it and will sound better... of course this is my opinion haha, i had learn this the hard why, the same way had to learn Why TF the crackling sound appeared in some games and in discord or some other games worked just fine.... now i'm using sonarworks reference 4, rtx voice, voicemeeter banana and everything works like a well oiled machine.

Man ive got a problem and im looking how to solve it for few hours. My microphone records computer audio. What i mean is when I turn off the microphone it is still recording the system sounds for example from youtube or games. When i talk to others I also have this problem i checked my settings and everything is ok. What can i do about that

In addition to changing everything to 48000hz I also had to lower the gain on my mic in voicemeter by -18db for it to stop sounding awful in discord, hopefully this helps someone.

Hi, i checked your video and i think i got it, but there is a problem. If i transmite music to a discord channel and if someone enters and talks, i cant listen because the music is playing on headphones as well or change the setups and not listening a thing. What i would like to do is have my headphones clear from sound to talk to those joining the room and still transmite music (out of my speakers), it's that possible? Thanks!

Okay so i found a way to fix your problem guys, when you try to speak your voice on discord becomes like a robot or there's or your voice's making a crackling sound. Here's the solution! 1st: go to task manager, you then wanna go to details, find "audio.dg", right click on it then go to "set priority" set it to "High". 2nd: right click on "audio.dg" again go to "set affinity" then check the CPU's number based on how many cpu or cores you have in your pc and that's it! I guarantee you 100% that this could also help and improve your mic quality and also the problem of your voice crackling on Discord! PLS PIN THIS SO THAT OTHER CAN SEE THIS!

I really need some help.. I use the Quadcast S and I'm streaming on Twitch (with streamlabs OBS), whenever I stream I notice that the click noises of my mouse and keyboard is kinda loud. yo dude. if your microphone had a gain (which it probs doesn't) could you tell me an assumption of what it could be? (sort of like the hyperx quadcast) also can you go to your microphone levels in system audio and tell me what level it is?

i had to return mines because idk whats wrong with the volume i have it on 1 percent and its stupid loud like i had the mic down alll they was and on the app i had it on 1 percent and is so loud it was like i was earrin and i couldnt fix it i did everything in sound controll panel still wouldnt work

I have watched so many videos on how to fix this and it sounds like my mic continuously bounces in and out of detecting my voice, almost like I am talking through soundproof fan blades going really slow. I've followed all the steps and messed with the EQ but the issue I run into is when linking to discord the sound from discord is coming in through my mic input and then sending back to discord as if I was speaking. How do I separate the audio channels. (I use a 3.5mil jack into my blue Yetti to my headphones so my headphones are connected to my Yetti and not my PC)
