Yes…I bought few Pagani in the past and they are definitely hits or misses…..but this one is the best so far….especially the black one…man, not only it is so gorgeous…..it is actually my new favorite even compare to my other Swiss or Japanese watches. When my local Rolex and luxury brands only fanboy even commented they like this watch….it tells me that Pagani got a winner here. Only wished they would put this on a proper Jubilee bracelet and that will be 6 stars….. I bought mine from your links last time when you unboxed it…..I am tempting to buy another one just to keep it in the box none wear!!!! Cheers. P.S. Lumes sucks for sure….
That’s defo a banger, my only slight minor niggle is that it doesn’t need to tell me the movement model on the dial, happy with just automatic 200m. I agree with you, that at this price point they are putting themselves in the firing line of the likes of SM to whom they don’t yet hold a candle
They don't hold a candle in terms of finish, that's a guarantee. Offering the PT5000 about £100 cheaper than their models though, it's a real consideration
Good review. My favorite part? This watch had smudges, smears and sweat stains. You know, like you've actually been wearing the hell out of it instead of letting it sit on a desk. Keep up the great work, really enjoy your videos.
I just ordered one during the sale for $124usd. It says it the “new” version with the PT5000 replaced by AUTOMATIC and a display case back and a Rlx style clasp. Guess I’ll have to see which version shows up
It looks that good that I’m not going to show my 11 year old daughter. We figured out today that she can wear a 40mm so she wants the LHD GMT Master 2 as well as the 36mm Black Bay!
Good review. And a Nice Watch. I agree about the hands . Too bad, but except from that it is fine and I like the green second hand . I think it goes well with the gilt
I just picked up a PD-1717 V2 with white dial today and I love it. I would have considered the 1723 but I REALLY dislike the gold indices and hands. If they had one with silver indices and hands I'd absolutely consider it. I also think it's a bit odd to put PT5000 right on the dial. Just say automatic.
Looks awesome on your wrist You should definitely keep in the rotation For me it's just too small 40mm is my go to Anyways another fantastic review my friend Thanks 👍
I have this on a leather strap and it is very nice indeed. Apart from the lume, which is not that relevant on a sporty dress watch, the chapter ring should be extended farther onto the dial as the distortionof the crystal makes it only partially visible. The triangle is definitely Seiko Laurel Alpinist territory, not Rolex. To my mind, the best Pagani Design is the PD1717 V2 (Longines homage) which has much better lume and a perfect dial layout and proportions.
I just picked up the 1717 V2 in white today and I love it, although it looks just a bit small on my very large wrist. But my favorite Pagani Design is the 1649 with the blue dial. The only downside of the 1649 is the 60 click bezel has a bit of slop in it. The bezel has... forward play in it between clicks. But it is just so damn pretty and the way the light catches the applied indices is spectacular that it more than makes up for the bezel action. If they released another version of it with a better bezel action I would absolutely double dip.
the lume is disappointing, but expected. good lume is expensive and the hands probably don't have enough of a divot for any lume. it's a nice looking watch that predates my rolex wind up model from the seventies. enjoyed the review!
@@JasonTheWatchGuy well, if they discontinue the model because of profit restraint owing to this movement (pt 5000), i hope they can continue with a 21k beat of some sort...
I really wish that Pagani would start taking lume seriously. We see that they're capable of making a really well-built watch with fantastic specs, yet they consistently are let down by their lume. A couple years ago, that was acceptable, because they were really the only player in the game offering the level of value that they do, but there are so many other phenomenal brands with excellent lume now for a comparable or even lower price. Steeldive watches have excellent lume, equal or better build quality, and many of their watches cost the same as or less than equivalent Pagani Design pieces. I would happily pay $15 more than current prices for a Pagani with excellent lume. We know good lume can be achieved for very low prices, so there's no excuse for the abhorrent lume on Pagani's watches that cost more than $100. I'm happy to buy a $70 watch knowing it has bad lume. But $100? $150? $200? No. Especially when there are other brands homaging the same or similar designs that have way better lume.
**Pagani Design please read this I would have purchased this watch but no real lume on the hands is a deal breaker. Otherwise it's a nice looking watch.**
Good afternoon from beautiful Thailand Jase, lovely looking watch, but not worth the price hike. £80 / quid extra for the watch because it has a PT5000 movement ? ? ? You can buy a PT5000 movement from Ali Express for marginally more than an NH35A movement. Pagani Design are in danger of pricing themselves out of the market. Think I'll build my own Homage.
