I work at a flower shop, one time this lady called to complain to us that the handwriting on one of our cards was terrible and she was confused by the message. We looked up the order and it was from a girl who came in person and picked out some flowers for her boyfriend and filled out a card herself. The mom just assumed the flowers were for her without even looking at the tag saying who they were for.

Story time: it’s 2016, I’m 14 in 9th grade and I have -27/10 self esteem, I meet this girl and she was into me for some reason so since I thought this would be my only chance at a high school relationship I went along with it. We “dated” (we never actually went on any dates, just hung out in her basement and watched tv) for about a month and then I was able to convince my mom to let me stay the night at her house by lying saying there’d be the whole friend group there. Things escalated and since I had 0 experience, confidence and was so far from being emotionally ready for all that, it was so painfully awkward.
