What is the reasoning behind separating out Broad and Search Match campaigns? If the goal is to discover as many keywords as possible isn't it just as effective to combine them and make them easier to manage. I am planning to create 2 campaigns for each Geo to keep it simple: Exact, Discovery. Where Discovery has search match turned on and broad keywords as well. Is this not a recommended approach? Why not?

You need an attribution tool like AppsFlyer, Adjust or Airbridge.io

If you already rank well for the keywords in your title should you still target them in an exact match campaign?

Hi Steve! thank you for your great content. just one question though so if I set up CPT $0.6 and CPA $2.0 and the user actually downloads my app, will I spend $2.0 for the download or $2.6 for the download ($2 + $0.6)? Thank you!

Two different things here. If you set a CPA goal of $2 then Apple will do its best to reach that mark. However, it could end up costing you more. If you set a $0.6 CPT and you convert 100% of your taps into installs then your CPA will be $.6. Does that make sense?

Super interesting! As a side question, can I use brand words like Facebook and Instagram in my App Description? (for example, if I say that my App has similar chat features to Facebook Group chats, or similar Story sharing like Instagram?)

Hi Steve! great video, super informative. I did the 3 campaigns that you mentioned on part 1, 2 & 3 and the ads have been running for the past 2 weeks. The search match is actually doing much better than exact campaign, I am getting really low impressions and little to none installs. Which comes to my question how can i optimize the campaign: The keywords I choose are not on my metadata but are very relevant to the app - do you think it’s because of that? Or do you think i should add more keywords… or would it be my budget, but my daily cap is far more than what i am spending per day.

It could be a variety of factors. Could be keywords not in meta data so you don’t have any organic rank. I would try to add them to the meta data and see if that changes anything. Keep me posted!

How do I track installs though if I already have plenty of organic installs? How do I track the paid installs?

Are you saying installs to sales? You'll need an attribution partner like Adjust or AppsFlyer. If you're talking about how to separate ASA vs organic downloads then you'll have to manually subtract your app store search downloads by your ASA downloads.

How comes that the expert himself publishes an app and does tutorial about campaign strategies but makes no significant money from it. A case study on moonlight with the real numbers for dev, design, content, paid ua, downloads, conversion rates etc. to give some real insights.
