Hey guys, Some of my Squadron mates were discouraged the other day, because of long loosing streaks with US teams against the axis. Great moment to fly out and see if we could change that ;) And a Thunderbolt is always a good plane to take up for that purpose! :) Hope you enjoy! Last weekend i got smashed trying to fly the 3.7 hellcat. So bad of a loosing streak that i gave up on allied teams at RB to this day.

I mean, I play as a lone wolf, and I do pretty fine for myself, I just make sure to climb to about 5000, either pick off solo planes, hunt bombers, or risk it all in a furball (I only do that with my turn fighters tho, not my energy fighters or boom and zoomers)I can get about 8 or 11 kills on a good day by doing this

In my opinion P47 D28 is way better choice for winning battles. It has pretty much the same performance as 5.7 P47M but at 4.7. There's no comparison between d25 and d28. more than 400hp more of 0.3 br increase is such a great thing.

Alpakinator Only thing is the P-47M maintains that performance up to 30,000 feet, while the D-28 only to 23,000 feet.

Yeah the D 28 has such great performance that you can actually lone wolf it. Any plane is great when you have 4 experienced players on headsets.

4:46 literally happens every time when I play with my brother. I shoot down the plane behind him one second after he is killed!!! He gets so man and I can hear him scream from his room lol. I love war thunder

I loved flying the rank 3 spitfires. They are fast and good at turning. Even if you have no more powerful cannons left, you still have 8 mgs that do damage. Thanks for the memories, jengar

I remember first playing and grinding and wondered about the P47 asking the vets about the plane. It was an all time thumbs up for so many telling me I'll never tire of having this plane in the line up. They were right and five years later it's still a go-to bull. Don't care if it's CCCP, the SS or, US, it's just fun. Thanks for this video.

if u want to get the best of the P-47s climb rate you should stay close to 281kph IAS, most people seem to forget that climbing on a steep angle at low speed with a very heavy aircraft isnt a good idea (not saying you did it, but most players just climb at 25 degrees in the p47s, i think they forget they are in a plane and not in a helicopter)

in the D28 :15 degrees and around 310 kph true speed and 280ish IAS is the best climb , you'll be 600m below the axis but you can always dive and then shallow climb and get energy advantage since you have a better energy retention then proceed to bnz at your pleasure .

Yep, best thing to do is sideclimb and make sure you're the highest plane before engaging. From that position all P-47's rule supreme.

America is very good if you climb you don't need to be in a squad to do this it just makes it easier if you climb keep speed and bait for others it works

Everytime I play P-47D I kept seeing P-51D's so Of course I will go to P-51D for good. Since It has a good climb rate, to climb to the enemy fast.

p47d28 climbs better than p51 and have better altitude performance where the p51 starts to loose power at around 3km (d30) .

every thing is faster than the N-15 below 5km and it has a terrible climb rate , it was intended when it had airspawn , i advice you to skip it . and np :))

why choose between p-51's and p-47's and the twin mustang.. play them all regularly. It will make you a very good pilot ;) Twin mustang is lovely btw.

Agreed, allied teams at mid br is pretty trash. Ive switched to axis and I can say without a doubt my winrate is above 90%

For the p47d 25 wich ammo is the best: Normal one of the ground targets one? I think the ammo for ground targets is better than the normal one

Nice to have squad mates to count on. sigh. I spaded the D-28 when it had the air spawn. Just recently decided to finish the D25 and had a terrible time. Allied teams refuse to climb!

Hey Jengar, I ran into a Bf109 f4 yesterday, we were at 7000 m , I clearly had a speed advantage over him, I was trying to get into a position to shoot him down so I turned around after there was a separation of 3km between us but I overshot him and he continued chasing me. This went on until we reached an altitude of 11000m, the encounter ended in a stalemate. My question is, how do I overcome situations like these? The Bf109 has an optimal altitude of 6000m, why did it not loose power?

Of course he did loose power, but the 109's are also quite good on higher alts. You should still have been able to win the encounter. But i dont know the situation, the shots you had, the skill of the enemy pilot, your skill. There's a lot of stuff that go in the calculation.

you can do this with all us planes btw ;) and solo as well, although this can be problematic when your team gets wiped.

@@jengar6258 With difficulty yes, you probably could do this once every 10 or so games in say a p51d. But passes like at around 4:47ish on the 109 would be much harder, borderline impossible for average players due to the high speed rudder jank on the p51. Im probably exaggerating a bit here, but ive been having a very bad experience trying to grind the americans and the brits lately and tbh i feel like to an extent the air rb meta currently favors germany (Most purefighters, 109s tend to be quite well rounded, and few 'weak' dedicated attackers/bombers) but i guess ill wait to see what gaijins rb rework brings when it comes.

when i started playing the p47 it already lost it's airspawn and i was clubbing the axis hard , i can't imagine how it was like when it had airspawn .

I want to ask someone about american planes. Most of them have no aerodinamics, they are bulky with a huge flat nose, with heavy arnament that should slow it down and make it turn slower and yet it flies better than any other german plane. Put pods on the german plane? That would be a mistake but huge 50mm canons on the american one? That's amazing! Is it the engine? Because i find little sense in all of this. American bombers i adore, they are very beautiful and strong but when it comes to fighters? Ugh... ugly machines. I like to call them "Huge pipe with engine and wings."

most US planes also have very powerfull engine's, often compensating for the flat radial engine fronts ;)

they're heavy so they are faster in a dive also massive engines with lots of power so they're fast in horizontal , strong flaps so they turn tight at high speeds , also smooth body frame so good energy retention , but they mostly have somewhat lacking climb rate and they are shit at low speeds , best counter to them is the 190D's and Ta152h which btw can turn fight any allied prop expect for the lf9.

also G55's and G56 wipe the floor with them all since they out climb , out turn and also dive with them .
