Ac-42 is perfect for positioning and holding lanes, it’s a headshot beast and for some maps with the thermal optic amazing. BSV-M is now one of my favorite guns it feels like a laser and it’s easy to handle.

i just really appreciate that dice didnt gave up on this game. they really went all in on it and delivered. the gun balance feels really good now. so many weapon are very good. its more of a playstyle preference.

I'm confused at the end with the BSVM you suggested 2 different magazines, the Close Combat and High Power/Extended Rounds? Did you mean you switch between these 2 types of rounds depending on the situation?

I like the A91, didn't use it much before but decided to get its level up, took bit of time to get use to it, after that I use it alot. It's ggod on burst but also works well on auto with suppressor, with the suppressor on it doesn't fell to have much spread to me. Also likes M16 as well.

I really like the AC42 rn. I switch the barrels frequently. Due to its burst fire, the champion muzzle break makes it a laser beam. But the type 4 suppressor and subsonic ammo is so deadly from concealment. I just wish it had the 40mm AP, or masterkey. Only things holding it back.

I like SFAR and PBX. Kinda eyeing GEW as a faster up close then SFAR but still good range.

The PP-29 is my jam. Love all the kills I can get before reloading.

I agree with most of this, though I'd say the AM40 has probably earned a spot in the meta, at least in my opinion. Quicker rate of fire makes it forgiving if you miss shots, very easily controlled recoil, AR headshot multiplier makes it feel like an insta-kill if you're accurate. Can typically outgun any other assault rifle up close while competing with SMGs (especially if you hit headshots) and will outgun SMGs at mid range. Really only suffers at long range but that's easily mitigated by playstyle. As long as I stay under 40m, I feel confident in every gunfight unless I'm against the BSV-M and the PP-29.

So and for all: before the update i played the RM-68 and RPT-31 but after it felt so much diffrent. since than i try the SFAR and WOW, after the AC-42 my new favorite. Beside i love the 12M. SMG i don't like very much and i don't understand why the K30 have any recoil? But please i am a very nooby player. Thx for your infos about!

SFAR for mid to long range and AM40 for close to mid range, both running high-power mag, deletes players insanely fast.

Made a 94 PBX kills Conquest 128 round, it has a super aggressive close combat ammo, which is melting everyone even while hipfire. Not sure pp-29 could do the same due to lower RPM.

PBX 4 shot range goes out to 20 meters with close combat rounds, 10 meters with standard and other ammos. Not a bug, it loses out on damage at longer ranges.

I’d personally add the AM40 for close range, but everything else seems pretty solid!

I want to use the M16A3, not because I have any nostalgia for it, but because I absolutely love the BF3/BF4 kobra sight and tend to prefer higher fire rate weapons. I don't know what it is about the M16A3, but it just doesn't feel like it kills people anymore. I'll land a couple of shots and then my bullets just vanish into the ether. Maybe I'll give the ACW-R a try, although I've had a grudge against that weapon because I really wanted the BF4 ACW-R and the BF3 version's existence basically cements that we will never get the BF4 one, even if they do ever put BF4 weapons into the game.

+1 for bsv - loved that gun since release and keep coming back to it - so damn versatile

Great vid, Catalyst! I'm surprised how much I like the ACWR now, but the pp29 will always be my go-to. I feel like the overall balance is better in its current state, so there are few dog water guns

SFAR for big maps or wide areas, GEW46 is a beast, AM40 my fav. PP29 also great

I've removed LMGs from my loadouts. They feel very bad. As far as ARs go, I respect that the ACR is one of the most meta weapons but I don't think it feels good. That said, the ACR has the same TTK in optimal range as the short barrel RM, without the nerfs to bullet velocity, accuracy, and recoil the RM takes with short barrel. The M16 feels great and is basically the RM for longer ranges, while the G46 performs just as well as short barrel RM within 20m. But I would say the SFAR is overall the best AR again, as you mentioned. The addition of underbarrel GLs add so much utility, especially the AP. With it you can carry extra smokes, deal with armour, and Dozers. If you rather have a grip or lazer, definitely the RM68, ACW-R, GEW-46, and M16A3 or.. the AC-42 obviously are the way to go. The PP-29 is still amazing and the PBX is not far behind. DMRs gain from the other weapon nerfs and the SVK is still the meta utility weapon of the group, much like the SFAR and formerly LCMG. The M39 is undeniably the goat of the group however, and I would argue the SVD is even the best choice for anyone who struggles with recoil. Then there's the BSV-M, which is so broken it is undeniably the strongest weapon in the game right now of any class, despite its lack of ammo and UBGLs. Ammo problem easily solved by playing support, which is also the best class. As for me I enjoy very much the G46, RM is fun sometimes but I run mine with 6KU (far from meta but offers better accuracy and bullet velocity, SFAR of course, PP-29, and M5A3. AK is great too, but like 6KU RM, very outclassed

the DMRs did not receive any spread changes, by the way. So the BSV-M at the moment is pretty much back to being uber broken. Accuracy of a DMR with the functionality of an AR.

Ill pick one AOW and Vault weapon from each category that I think feel good. Sidearm: NVK P125, MP 412 Rex. SMG: PP 29, PP 2000. AR: I am split between the AM40 and the Gew 46. But I am leaning towards the AM40. For a vault weapon I would say the ACWR. Lmgs: LCMG, XM8 lmg. DMR: BSVM and M39 Sniper: DXR and GOL Sniper Tactical: 12M auto, no vault shotguns :(

Why no mention of the Rorsch MK4 rail gun in assault mode?

Standard ammo gives the guns best rpm now and find myself preferred to high power now when before the patch it was opposite

After the update, the lmgs are still enjoyable in a support role as they were intended in previous titles. Meta is not a good thing to promote when the game is full of many attachment possibilities on different primaries to use that do not get the attention or skill mastery they could have.

im using the hell out of the m16 currently and the scar.

I personally enjoy VCAR right now because it is very challenging yet rewarding (I have 12k kills on it). It enjoys the same DMR perks like BSV-M (upto 50m) and also makes you to shift your mental model for the gunfights.

I used the sfar a ton last season 🤦 I was loving the lcmg got over 100 kills

The BSV-M is a true badass. Snipe? Ok. CQB? Ok. Middies? Ok.

Its not 2.5 HS multiplier it is a 2.15 for ARs. DMRs has a range as like the SVK and EMR are like 1.6 while the BSVM is like 2x.

With your opinions of slow firing easy managable weapons, a weapon which is always glossed over is the M60E4 That thing is actually insanely accurate, it can be used on any class but with the engineer perks the M60 SHREDS people in those medium and long range engagements. But that being said, I dont think there really is a BEST weapon right now. every gun feels viable though some are weaker and the ones you mentioned are on the stronger side, everything seems to be in an Ok spot.

AEK is no doubt the best AR on battlefield 2042 as for now. AEK can shred people on medium to long range plus the fire rate is insanely fast with high damage and no recoil at all.

Despite being praised by all players The M14 doesn't work for me; the spread and accuracy just feel totally off, especially compared to the BSV it is a league under it.

My favourite weapons are PP29, M5A5 and BSV-M (for longer ranges, pls don't use full auto and fast rate of fire)

Anyone got good controller settings ?

I'm uninstalled for 2042 right now as I'm upgrading my PC to a combo package microcenter has of I9-12900k with 32gb ddr5 and a nice MB for $400. I just bought this game. Playing it while blind on a custom 2 player server with all maps on 10 minute Conquest rotation so I don't get shot by people I can't see is BORING AS FWCK I can't find the single first Fing vehicle anywhere and am walking all over the place bored out of my mind. This is stwpid. The only action is me getting blown up when I walk off the edge of the map if I don't turn around in time. If you're blind, this game totally swwcks

They just nerfed the last good guns in the game now with recent final season 7 update, *SIGHHHHHHH. Why cant they just leave some guns OP for us crap players GRRRRRR

I do hate the lack of recoil controller gets its basically cheating ive used some of the more stronger weapons and to me on controller they become broken even the easier like the AK is op full range no recoil . Plz dice dont include this or cross play in the next game

I requested a REFUND after 2.8 hours of walking around onempty maps. I couldn't find a vehicle anywhere on any map. I guess they expect you to walk everywhere in this game. Forget that BVLLSHlT Back in the day on my BF2/2142 servers I had vehicle spawn points everywhere. You didn't have to walk far before you found.. something drivable or flyable. This game is a 100% bad F'ing joke. STILL. Even BF3 was better, you could spawn next to some vehicle. This has NOTHING. NOTHINGGGGGG.
