Bence Patyi if you could play that fast and actually not sound like shit live while constantly banging your head at like 40+ years of age you'd be pretty tired too. i know whenever i play angel of death i end up being tired after from the speed and me jumping and thrashing around.
I saw Slayer for the first time last night and said "fuck it" and hooped in my first mosh pit during this song and Angel Of Death. It was fucking crazy
+Cassius Morris it's called " slayer fucking off disease " , a cure doesn't exist , usually people get your simptoms , someone just start random haedbang, other lost their hairs and grown a beard and a pair of sunglasses .
@@joelplamondon1021 People up here are famously reserved, even at metal shows. I'm from Germany and there is a clear difference already. My wife is Portuguese, and when I saw Slayer in Lisbon, that was another thing altogether.
I love Slayer because they realize that they shouldn't scoop their mids, put a solid state distortion pedal front of a clean amp, and max out their treble, bass, and gain. They sound so awesome live.
The first time I saw Slayer, my older brother was supposed to watch me I was 13 years old. I broke my wrist in the pit he was so paranoid that my parents were gonna freak out. We went to the hospital where they reset my wrist and we told them it was from baseball practice. Both my parents are gone now and they still never found out.
I have seen Slayer play twice. Once with Hanneman and last year with Gary Holt. Personally I think there should be a Big 5 with Testament, however, both shows were fantastic. I am a bit too old for the mosh pit but the music still cranks up my adrenaline.
I hate the fact that Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth have to perform only 1 hour when Metallica take the stage for about 3 hours. Personally I love Anthrax, and also Megadeth and Slayer are fucking great. Metallica is good, but nothing better than these other 3 bands.
***** No there would be no thrash. Metal Massacre was the first compilation album with metallica being on there not slayer or anthrax or megadeth. Kill 'em all was the first thrash album out. Granted Reign in blood is the best one, dont argue with me about that, they were the face of thrash and are more famous because they were more appealing in the 80's. I know people who love Iron maiden but would never listen to a Thrash song by metallica. They would listen to there black album songs, but no MoP or RTL or Justice for all. They went rocky instead for a bit and became more famous, so they are technically better...
Oh watched this concert a couple times. The lighting the sound the vibe it’s great footage. This concert footage got me into watching heavy music. The V guitar guy is entertaining as it gets. Great band!
Ok, but only that Exodus from Tempo and some pieces from BBB.I am an Exodus fan!But i must admit that is a huge difference between what they compose till 2003 and the pure, unique, fucking awesome that they get from 2004.No matter if was Duke or Souza the voice.(Ok, like maaaaaany others i prefer and deeply regret loosing of Duke.Imho, there are many good vocals. But only two of those are fucking really awesome : Duke and Phil Anselmo.
You tell me that when you are playing music you thought was so influential to a bunch of people and they just stand there like braindead idiots. Its hard to play with no energy, especially thrash metal
they only came up for metallica. cz the "biggest act" for this big 4 is only tallica, what an unfair shit. they weren't thrash fan more likely tallica fans
Lol this isn't Elton John concert. I think these kids must be in shock like a broken robot or something. We had dudes diving 30 ft off the speakers in 1989 at pulsations night club in glen mills pa.
Enlisted in the Navy in early 80's. Did all of my schools back to back and was in San Diego for around 70 weeks, not counting basic. During that time I would head to LA and enjoy the sights and sounds on the Strip. IT was the best time a 20 year old kid could ask for. When I reported to my ship, I had four cassette tapes and a boom box. Our instructors filled us in on what would be feasible to have aboard a destroyer or frigate. I had Slayer-Raining Blood, Dio-Holy Diver, Metallica-Kill Em All and Megadeth-Killing is my Business. My shipmates in my division knew what I was like immediately. Although I was a rivethead, I was still a 4-0 sailor and with that said, I never got f*cked with by the chiefs, senior chiefs or master chiefs. I did my job and enjoyed my time ashore. Thrash/Metal kept me sane around all the @ssholes that came from all over the US.
It honestly makes me wanna cry how lame this crowd is. Slayer is amazing why are you at that concert. People are so unappreciative of good music. How can someone who likes metal not like slayer? Go home there's something wrong. I give up on society.
EndlessSky Didn't know you could read minds. I'd say that the crowd is enjoying the concert, just because there's no wall of death dosent mean that no one is enjoying themselves
+EndlessSky "How can someone who likes metal not like slayer?" Because you like metal, you have to like every band? I smell bullshit and it's coming from your direction.
***** Thank you for clearing that up. I'll always thank them for getting me into Black Metal and introducing me to Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Hoobastank
That crowd is pretty pathedic. I bet they all came just to see Metsllica play Enter Sandman and The Unforgiven - or as I like to call it: The UnforGAYven!
Arghast I don't think you have to be headbanging 24/7, but this crowd... they were literally just standing there like zombies with no expression whatsoever.
I'd really like to see sodom, kreator and destruction do this thing too. And maybe nuclear assault, testament and exodus too! I saw Anthrax this summer, great band.
