I feel like some of the funniest things in these Hermitcraft videos are the reactions after people die. When Joel kills Gem for the second time, you see a message from Doc pop up and it says “this feels like when Iron Man dies” 😭😭
As someone who just finished reading Fight Club, the whole “don’t talk about fight club” rule being explicitly broken to recruit new members is a running theme so this version is a faithful adaption!
Funnily enough I think they are evenly matched because of how the approach a fight. Gem has admitted that she circles her opponent and Joel dodges back and forth. It balances the fight between them.
Imagine going to a shop to buy honey and then all of a sudden your eardrums are just getting destroyed by speakers blasting "HONEY HONEY HONEY" in Joel's voice
Fun fact: The red banners on one of Joel’s building show hotaru, or fireflies in English, which are in ancient Japanese poetry a symbol of feverish love.

I agree! I never watched him before, but when he joined, I watched his Hermitcraft videos and some of his others, and immediately said, “oh this guy’s unhinged. And I love it!” 😂
OMG you got me all excited for Gem's Trident Fight Club. Conduit in the middle of the floor so everyone has water breathing, Riptide Tridents causing the most chaotic fighting ever
The way Zed managed to make that villager is by curing a naturally spawning Zombie villager chicken jokey (Exceptionally rare natural mob) and then training it to become an actual villager. Very fun and niche tech, Zedaph is kind of the master of those.
Instead of inviting Etho first to the fighting club, you guys should invite him last and let him be confused as to why everyone is in on the secret and he’s not 😂
I honestly think that Joel's base is my favorite so far on the Hermitcraft server. The variation of colors, elevation and the amount of details are so good.

I rarely comment on people's builds, but I really really love how this base is coming together! every building is so unique, and the crowded atmosphere and overdecorated buildings just complete the vibe. I also really love the really cramped alleyways and pathways between the buildings! This base will be so fun to explore on the world download at the end of the season
Joel absolutely *demolished* Gem in that fight! sure he whiffed a bit, but the King always comes back ! They don't call him Joel Slayer-Beans for nothing! (they don't call him that)
I find it genuinely hard to believe that, up until this season, Joel wasn't a Hermit. He fits in so well, and it's an absolute joy to see him part of this season
He should really lean into it like it's a secret society underground and everyone is betting on each other, fixing fights, doping with extra hearts, champion belts for each ring, prizes and stuff like that
The bravery to put one's singing voice on the Internet is something rare and impressive in it's own right. A little polishing up through practice, and your singing voice could really surprise even you, Mr. Beans. 😊
Okay, the idea of hermits all having the own weapon specific arena in their bases is SO COOL! Oh my god, the possibilities are amazing with this idea 1. Gem has a trident arena 2. Grian has a fishing rod arena 3. Scar could have a crossbow + firework Hawkeye arena I'm not sure for other hermits, BUT - other arenas could have axes, bows, maces (future), fists only, lava/flint & steel, TNT, animal riding arena (i.e. horses, pigs, camels), etc.
An arena would fit perfectly with the direction Skizz is taking his base! And Zedaph could totally make one that also functions as some sort of farm (I think it would be really funny if he called it a player head farm)
I got an idea for your mid-tier books: to add some exclusivity and mystery (and therefore value?) to them, I think you should build a "Rare/Antique book shop" next to Cleo's. You know, dark, cramped and spooky-looking with a hint of wonder to it! It would contrast nicely with both the Kitty Café and your style this season. Maybe the permit office could extend your permit to include custom books? Don't mean to put you in a bind, though...

If Joel is going to behead Etho, I'm sure he will do his best to get as much of Ethos neck as possible so that he can Kiss that neck when nobody is looking...cuz...you know....he's obsessed with Etho.
I discovered his existence in third life and started watching him in last life, the only reason he's not my #1 favorite Minecraft youtuber is because I have extreme loyalty, so the moment I said Scar was my favorite nobody else stood a chance lol
The different fight clubs reminds me of Pokemon with the different types with the badges - if they win they should get a specific 'badge' or 'item' from the 'club' with corresponding colours
Ya know if I was asked which ABBA song Joel would do a cover of for his honey business, I personally would have said, ya know, “Honey Honey,” but hey, “Money Money Money” is a good second
Your base concept has been amazing every step of the way, but I think this building took it from "amazing concept" to "wow this is a CITY". I'm so excited to see how it continues to evolve and grow over the course of the season!

The fight clubs give me pokemon gym vibes. Could actually be fun if people on the server fight in different clubs and if they defeat the builder of the club they get a badge

I can't believe how fast this video was put together!! I was watching Impulse's stream YESTERDAY (3/26) and figured you and Gem were doing fight club. Then seeing Bdub's "I'll brt" was to Impulse to talk about CyberCity Plans. Holy Cow man Seriously love all the effort you put into each and every episode. It's insane (in the good way). And you lie, you can sing. Still though. I'm just amazed with all of it. I'm loving every single second of this season from everyone.
Love the orange build! The upper interior might look cool as a domed ceiling that looks like the interior of a bee hive… hang some azalea or cherry tree leave blocks from above for them to feed on. So when you look up they are just flying, feeding, and full nests are dripping down. You are killing it in your first HC season.
the fact that Joel just parodied an abba song to be about honey, when there’s already an abba song about honey, kinda funny. honey honey, how you thrill me, uh huh, honey honey.
No idea how minecraft stuff works a lot of the time but for the 'Honey Honey Honey' song (amazing btw) you could make a custom music disc (like Grian) and dispense it every time someone walks past the shop/opens the chest or barrel with like a skulk sensor? Again not sure how it works but idk!
