Glad to see you're not discouraged by these last few terrible winters.

I've noticed some chamaerops survive around the westshore/Greater Vic. And a few others die back. One in particular in Colwood, underneath a big eucalyptus (therefore, kept dry), looks stunning.

Where did you get the Mediterranean Fan palm from? Im also from the Metro Van area and i couldn't find a lot as of now, thanks
