Hi Nick just a question about the legacy falcon on my legscy falcon the rear left hand side landing strut doesn't touch the floor like the rest does . Does yours or anyone else who you know have the same issiue? I've checked it thoroughly and can't find any problems that could be causing the problem

I was fortune enough to pick this one up the day it released! I wish I would have bought two or three! LOL. But its a great piece for sure. As a child of the 70's I was lucky to get to see all of the original Star wars films in the theater and really got to experience the phenomena that Star Wars was. The newer generations of fans and collectors just wouldn't understand. Sorry you just had to have been there to relate. Back then I had almost all of the toys and figures from all three films. But unfortunately all of my original stuff got stored away by parents and forgotten about. Well unbeknownst me it eventually got handed down to my niece to play with, then tossed in the trash when when she lost interest. (I know right) Which upon hearing of this tragedy it happed to triggered my collecting again! And I must say as much as I miss my vintage stuff these new versions are incredible!! Especially this Legacy Falcon!! Now if only I still had that youthful imagination!

Only own the vintage one boxed but your detailed tour of the Falcon is tempting me to click on that Zavvi preorder😄 First time I’ve seen this Falcon fully up close and functioning - it’s beautiful. Mark Boudreaux designed and built the very first Falcon for Kenner and his legacy lives on through the ones he designed for Hasbro. Top, top vid OOK👍🏻

That “grinding” noise at the start up is actually chewie howling. The start up is taken right out of the movie.

I've just watched this, and I have to say I love your enthusiasm and obvious deep affection for Star Wars and these crazy lumps of plastic - I feel the same way. Great review. I have a Legacy Falcon, but it's locked away in the attic. I wanted to see it again, and it was easier to watch your video than to climb ladders and bat away the cobwebs. Thanks again.

I got the Smugglers Run version of the BMF and it’s pretty damn nice! Got it from Target online, before Christmas. I was very lucky to get it. It really makes the Imperial Shuttle look small!!

I don’t think so man. I got that AT-AT back in 2009 and that is really the only big vehicle I have room for. I, like you am a big fan of Disney and hit Galaxy’s Edge last October when I was in WDW. What a great vehicle it will be and man I love Black Spire Outpost. Might go again next year. Love that blue milk!

Great playset/vehicle! It is my Best toy since 2010. I Just love it. If i would have to get rid of my collection and leave one thing, it would be the BMF. Still have the BOX...

@@OnlyOneKenobi Nah, the real BMF was one that i was dreaming about. The weathering looks nice on the new one but its not a big upgrade. Even the the new phrases are not in the movie... And most importantly, the box is smaller :D

Funny enough I got my one out the loft last week when it was raining, my Mrs said is that staying on the table ?? Yes just for one day ! Me and my 8 year old daughter played with it for hours, I love it nearly as much as my original one I got for Christmas in 1980. Oddly my wife bought mine for £150 in 2008 for Christmas as she didn’t know what to get me and I kept on hinting !! I showed her the smugglers one and she said No Way !! 😂

Thank you, I’ll tell the story of me and an AT- AT on an aeroplane back from New York in the late 90’s , I took it on as hand luggage as I didn’t want it damaged, meanwhile my suitcase was full of POTF2 figures ! Anyway keep up the great videos , enjoyed the live feed with Bossk and usual mike the other day especially after I’d got my Legacy Falcon out too ! 🙌🏻😂

I put this thing on lay-buy back in 2008 when I had a fill in job working as a pool boy. Yet they sat on the shelves by the dozen because no one would spring $180 Australian. Where were all the fans?

I think the weathering on the new one is well done from what I can see. The problems that I noticed on a lot of the custom Falcons,is that I think they over did it on the weathering! This one coming out I think has a nice balance!

Totally agree! I've seen some where people have totally gone over board with weathering. You couldn't really see it in the promo film Hasbro put out, but I reckon that's because they over lit the Falcon in the studio.... can't wait to see it for real 👍🏻

I can't get over how big this thing is (that's what she said). It's the size of a boogie board. Very happy with it. So I'm watching some videos to learn more about it. I got mine for 200 without the landing gear and the escape pod. But I now have the landing gear, and I’m not going to get the escape pod because it didn’t have one in the movie! But 100% complete just no escape pod. I might grab one just to have it but I’m never selling this stuff so I don’t care about resale

Ha ! you chose to do the same thing with the Empire Strikes back versions of Han Solo and Leia and C-3PO ! Also my favourite movie and chose to use those too. All I can say is try as much as possible to avoid the scalpers on ebay and just don't give them money.

Hi, “The Disneyland Neighbor” here. -You’re right, the Legacy or the Smugglers Run Millennium Falcon is a much better choice than the LEGO. To pay more and still have to build a Millennium Falcon is a pain in the ass.

Had two opportunities to buy this brand new, still in the shipping box for a great price, but got Ebay sniped both times. Ebay should do a 15 minutes rule, which means your wallet decides when to stop bidding, also ensures seller gets the most.

I'm excited for the new one to come out. I'd love to have both the Legacy version plus the Smggler's Run but I can only afford to get one or the other (Only one! 🤣) and the weathering on the new one really looks impressive. I just hope the new one has ALL of the sounds from the Legacy version plus the new ones, as I'm way more of an OT fan that anything else.

I didn't expect I would get one (because I thought I'd missed the chance) plus I didn't think I needed one given I already own this! Hehe. This thing is so damn big it is classified as a playset rather than a vehicle, cos adults have a clumsy time trying to manouever this thing (for "flight" simulations), there's no way a child could. My major complaint is the landing gear - it detaches rather than retracts. I can't imagine why they couldn't engineer a way to make them retractable? The detachable mode just makes the damn things fall off every time you lift the ship or bump the gear against something when moving it - or even trying to merely SLIDE it across a level surface. And there's SO many pieces! Much easier to lose one and leave the damn ship unsupported and off-balance. Very poor design on the landing gear. Everything else is pretty cool. My favorite feature is probably the boarding ramp coming down - the lights, the hydraulics sounds, very cool.

Oh man, that's defo my fave feature, the boarding ramp! (Draw bridge I've been calling it!"🤣🤦🏻‍♂️😉) but I'm so glad the lights stay on longer! I hear you on the landing gear, you're right. Perhaps they're trying to save space is all. I remember that the one in the 80s lost space in the living area to store retracted landing gear.. Cheers for commenting! 👌🏻💙 O.O.K 😉

@@OnlyOneKenobi Yeah, I figured all those little landing gear struts would have to go somewhere and, as you put it, would take up to much "living space" - but don't forget the original 1980s edition of the Falcon was a much smaller scale, so of course "living space" was lost by pretty much anything there (though I'm still irked they could not have made a passage between the rear and the cockpit - it's not like aything was in the way! In fact a lot of wasted space went unused in the fornt of the ship)... but did the back end really need "double duty" with landing gear? Maybe it's more authentic, and I am for that, but given how short they are, I bet they could have found a way... instead of pushing up vertically like the 2 rear struts of the original did, have them "flip" up horizontally like the central front leg of the original... Well, what's done is don, but they could have at least made a more secure fastening for the "detach mode" we got, so they are not falling off every time a mosquito farts on it... lol.

Nice looking ship a lot better than the Kenner and Palitoy versions. This new one that's coming out looks amazing with all that weathering which means it will not be as plastic looking but I was wondering if this new one will be as big as this one that you're reviewing?

Nah man.. you must've missed my latest news. The vid you're on about was when I said that all the UK online retailers here in UK, who had only 20 each. Which obviously sold out immediately. That video was massive.... loads of views. But the fact of the matter is, the same evening I shot that video (when I thought I'dI'd missedout).... Zavvi preorders went live. And I ordered one after 15 minutes. That was a fortnight ago and they're STILL taking pre-orders. Who are Zavvi? Well I'm told they're the distributors over here on behalf of Hasbro. I dunno if they can honour all the preorders they're taking on but I'm amazed if Target are sold out already.... 🤷🏻‍♂️
