I'm originally from NY and yes the "YEW-man" thing is fr real. I've been in Florida since 2003, plus I took speaking classes because I went to college for Broadcast Communications, so Lost a lot of my accent. I still say "dawg" for dog and "caw-fee" for coffee though.

They'd take me up to folks I'd never met and have me say "coffee" and "dog" to them and they'd all cackle. It was funny at first but after a while it got old... LOL
