I think the main benefit is emotional. People want to feel that this is going to improve their bones. Walking, gardening, cleaning, bicycling all work muscles that surround the bones as well.
But swimming is the opposite of weight lifting: it takes the weight of the joints. How do they explain the benefit of walking & swimming for the bones?
@@susanhonegger9987 strength training/weight bearing,/,yoga good for osteoporosis. Swimming and walking don't do much but exercise depend on the health of the person doing them. Not everyone can handle these exercises.
Great exercise. But definitely not. No evidence to suggest bent over rows improve BMD in the spine. You need to learn to hip hinge with weight. Lots of weight.
Very shameful that they post these videos and provide no helpful info. Concerning where we can find a similar program elsewhere if they exist. I guess it’s aiming people from that particular country. Go figure
Update: last nite I came across an exercise RU-vid video for osteoporosis posted by the Bone Clinic: Onero Online- Osteoporosis Exercise Treatment by Prof. Belinda Beck and Linda Weis. This was posted many years ago. If anyone here is interested. I started doing them this morning. In addition to other strength training exercises I already do.
