The Bootleg Beatles - Twist And Shout. Live at The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, Acoustic Stage, Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, 28 June 2015. With Adam Hastings as John Lennon.
The "John" is outstanding. Has his voice and body language is pretty spot on. But he's the best out of the 4. If you put him with The Fab Four it would be just marvelous.
He's great! But I think they are all great! I think Macca is superb! He may not look like him but has the mannerisms and voice! But Adam Hastings is defo the best Lennon i've seen ;)
@@Ethan-yk2dkJohn Lennon used a rhythm guitar? 😂 there is no such thing, it’s just a guitar - some guitarists play lead , some rhythm!. John was the rhythm guitarist in the Beatles, he didn’t play a rhythm guitar. Hope I made that clear? 😂
This group is quite well known for a Beatles tribute band. For those who didn't see The Beatles in the 60's this band show what the original feeling and sound would have been like. Sensational stuff! I remember back in the 80's I was walking into the Virgin megastore on Oxford Street and they had a Beatles cover band, unsure if it were Bootleg Beatles and they did 3 numbers, one was Nowhere Man. I was overwhelmed by the sound and how good and tight the band was, never forgot it.
it really doesn´t matter what "Ringo" and "Paul" look like..... "Paul" is lefthanded, "John" and "George"are surprisingly similar to the originals, they´re acoustically and vocally pretty good and most probably a lot of fun to watch and listen to, if you just let yourself sink into the illusion.... good cover band, I approve
jaqueline F All of the Paul’s play lefty. It’s really not that hard with a bass. I’ve been playing guitar, mando, banjo, and bass, since 65. If somebody said play bass left handed and I’ll make you Rich. I would have about 15 minutes to make up my mind and 15 more to learn to do it. Guitar....now that’s something else altogether. I wouldn’t consider mandolin, or baseball.....ha
"Twist and Shout" Compositor: Bert Russell & Phil Medley 1 gravação: The Top Notes - Derek Ray & Guy Howard - 1961 2 gravação: The Isley Brothers 1962 3 gravação: The Beatles album, Please Please Me (1963)
The drummer is skipping on a bass drum beat throughout this entire song. This is incorrect.. Ringo did not play it that way.. He kept a beat on the kick drum going after every snare drum hit.. However, i have seen him playing other songs, and he's got most of those nailed down, so i'll give him credit where credit is due.. Very good drummer.. Only this song needs some work..
3:30 i heard someone in the audience said (Fu¢k Yoko) that's not very nice she didnt break up the Beatles it was John said I'm leaving the band and the beatles came full circle & they had they're 10 years of success and its what you do if you met someone or get married you move on you dont hang around the same and do the same sh$t you grow up and get married. The reason the Beatles broke up because their manager Allen Klein was going to own the whole Beatles empire and other personal things thats why they broke but hey on the bright side they made great music and their legacy will live in forever and ever. So stop saying negative and stupid things Think Before You Say Things ok Words Hurt and people get upset easily so Remember THINK THINK ok good thank you 😊😊 STOP and THINK
Jerry, you are up against a brick wall...the "fans" will support any "wig and girdle" band, there is just too much money to be made and people simply will not understand their idols are long since gone, they will pack these shows and bellow off-key through every song and ruin it for anyone who is trying to listen. No Beatle fan goes to a Beatle tribute show, it's like going to see an animated corpse. No harm done, just saying... :)
LetzGoCrzy well I’m a long time Beatles fan and have seen the bootleg Beatles live and had a great time. So that voids any credibility in your statement
do you know what colour under pants John wore? ..it's FUN...it's FAKE...It is entertainment..it is not trying to really make you think it is real. Jesus get a grip!!
Interesting but for me the music is way more important than looks. Concentrate on the sound and throw away the Beatles wigs! The only time a cover band needs to look like the band they are covering is when it's on Broadway or its equivalent in the city they are playing in. All this aside this band is pretty good, covering the Beatles is no easy feat.....Cheers!
What makes me laugh about people’s comments on this video about taking the John from this band and putting him in the Fab Four, is the fact the The Bootleg Beatles are the longest running and most successful Beatles tribute act (established 1980), They were around long before the Fab Four and most of the the other bands. I’ve seen the Fab Four, they are excellent, but the Bootlegs are equally as good, if they weren’t, they wouldn’t have Existed for over 30 years
All the “john” lovers on here clearly have never been anywhere near Liverpool. His speaking voice is shite 😂 sing the songs and stop trying to be funny. Note to self - you’re NOT john lennon. Making up your own shite jokes may keep it fresh to you but it’s really embarrassing to watch 👍🏻
"[John] had very fair, delicate skin and soft, sandy hair with a touch of red in it when the light hit it in a certain way. I would kid him and say: "You're a redhead!" He would say: "Never!" - Yoko Ono, John Lennon Anthology, 1998
