When I saw the title, the first thing I thought of was Ola Englund.

This is hands down one of the best guitar tones for metal I’ve ever heard, I’m snagging a 33 for my dual rec, truly beautiful and brutal

$233.33 for a pedal that makes a Boogie sound like a Marshall. Whatever...

This is super tempting. The Zuul was one of the wisest purchases I've ever made. My 5150 is whisper quiet while not playing.

That was the best guitar sound I have heard on this channel. It wasn't over the top but very clear.

Price is ridiculous. Some of these boutique guys are consumed by greed.

Yeah this boost turned my Egnater tweaker into a tight chug machine, words I would have never thought I’d utter about what was once just used as a glorified power amp for my helix. I actually prefer to play through this now and save my helix for my effects

Fortin Grind, 33 and Blade are basically the same circuit. Blade is more like traditional TC Preamp with exposed bass and treble controls, while Grind and 33 have fixed EQ and differ in a single resistor literally.

This sounds awesome! I would love this as my main rhythm tone honestly.

The Grind is cheaper and is only a very slight EQ difference that isn't really noticeable. Alternatively just look at a clone that's far cheaper.

It's basically a tc electronic integrated preamp with fixed values in the tone stack and a 18v charge pump.

$233 is a lot though, specially when a Fractal FM3 cost you $950.

Unrelated to the pedal, I have been hooked on your album for days! I've watched a lot of your vids but stumbled upon Dragged Under completely independently from your RU-vid channel. For some reason never looked into your band until Chelsea came on a random Google radio station. Immediately went to play the album and have been listening on my drives home for the last 3 days. Never put 2 and 2 together until this video when I saw the album art during the pedal demo Tl;dr: Keep rockin 🤘 Dragged Under is awesome

It's not a tone I'm drawn to, but the channel switching feature is sick as hell.

Haven't watched the video or looked up the pedal yet, but let me guess... about 180 bucks to increase the volume of your guitar signal, that about right? whoa, 235 bucks... lulz get wrecked

for rectifier, the booster as an evil "33" is, well, unnecessarily contraindicated! This pedal works great and is designed for 7/8 str lowered tunings. why is that? everything is simple: amplifiers with a different grain gain diezel, bogner were specially designed for lowered tunings. on them "33" and other booster crushers sound perfect! I myself play a triple rectifier and its huge gain reserve is designed for a standard guitar tuning, or a maximum "C", anything lower, the rectifier makes inarticulate. I tried a bunch of boosters and bought a boss sd 1 waza craft yesterday and it turned out to be a miracle! The maxon 808 lost out to him because the 808 has "white noise" which is recognized as a slight distortion / overdrive that spoils the proprietary growl of the amplifier. boss sd 1 waza craft in custom mode boosts the low bass and makes a biting mids! it does not add a "white hissing background" like 808! the lyrical digression is as follows: for very evil exaggerators, an evil booster is contraindicated!

I feel like it would be even better with an EQ pedal

So much mud and it changed the sound so much. Its not a clean overdrive pedal. Guess a boost pedal is a wrong name probably here. Wish fluff demoed this pedal with different amps and guitars too

I have question , I have never used a boost pedal but I have been thinking about stacking two of the same pedals (dark glass B7k ultra) I’m trying to get the same sound I already have just more of it I would set the pedals exactly the same. Would a booster give me the same results? I am looking for the same sound I have just richer and more of it maybe a little thicker and fuller if that makes sense, not trying to make a new effect or anything just more of the same. A second dark glass pedal would run me $450 before tax so I’m hesitant to just roll the dice on a sound experiment like that

For $250 USD you could get a Boss EQ200, run it in front and in the loop and do a whole lot more than this will ever do for you... If fortins pedals were pink and sold under a different name no one would buy them...

Just wow! How expensive is this for a boost! Like you said, expensive, and I don't get the same value out of it you would. I would be looking at something cheaper for sure. Man, I could get a nice holiday, two months of shopping or a cool second half guitar for this price.

Anyone know how the remote switching works with a 3 channel multiwatt recto? Plugs to one of the Lead channels on the back switching I assume? Any way I can have it only on channel 2 and 3 and off for channel 1? So lost how this works.

Pepers Pedals Dirty Tree is much cheaper and has more options. I have one and highly recommend it if you're after this kind of tone.

I could build an adapter for that to switch the channels on a 6505, especially since i always leave The fx loop on and the crunch off

I bought this pedal and it is absolute garbage. I've tried it through every amp I own and it's a gimmick. The only reason you guy endorsed this is because meshuggah uses them. What a shame

The change in tone through this pedal isn’t quite enough for me. At least through a RU-vid video. I’d have to hear the jump in boost and gain in person to make a valid argument as to how “great” this pedal actually is.

For much less money, I'd suggest the GUP Tech Mad Honker - a dual pedal made of a TS808 + 33/Grind clones, handmade in Saguenay, Québec. Covers all your high gain boosting needs! Was looking for a good OD and the guy was also making 33/Grind clones... I asked if we could combine both, he custom built it for me and it's now one of his best sellers! Highly recommended and and incredible bargain!

unrelated question guys, just after opinions on my dilemma. I am after a new amp which I really want the EVH 5150iii EL34 50w 1x12 combo. alternatively I am consider just getting a Boss Katana 100 mk2 1x12 which is 4 times less in price. Does the EVH justify the extra cost. I'm a man on simple needs, just a nice clean and an awesome rhythm and lead channel and reverb and I'm usually sweet. If I need modulations and effects I can just get pedals. can anyone give me advice on their similar experience?
