a tribe would kill off their prey to prove "manliness" and then go raid rape and kill others. if they had not always been savage, they would have had houses, Columbus's house before 1492 still stands, old brit homes... too.

Another great video, thanks. Keep up the truth telling, my family has been in New England long enough to know about indian warfare. Rape, murder and torture, it's not surprising war was brutal on both sides.

That county is pronounced EE-Rath. Yeah. I know it's weird. Wow, 1875? I didn't know they were still on the warpath that late. Lookin forward to next time.

Thanks for telling it the way it happened! Makes me wonder if they wanted to go on a war path. Instead of doing it on a poor pioneer family maybe they could have picked a fight with another tribe itching for a fight?

Comanches were still out and about into the late 1930s, early 1940s, along the border and into Mexico. Tribe members, that refused to surrender.

Interesting title of the book "de-predation"... brutal times. I've fought Indians. I grew up by a rez 1968-77 the kids could be brutal mean to non-indians... it happens between other races i know... but for me, those were interesting years. I understand the parents hostility being passed on to their children. Thier grandparents had $5 scalp bounties on them in the late1800s... the Spainish came into San Diego and the locals were left with the - at that time - less desireable land. So I get it now, I should be happy the worst was 2 black eyes and crooked bloody nose, for defending my buddy, Mark McMann. Another time a tribe kid comes up to me on the playground and says "your brother said you can take me" boom... my brother was mean too. I've seen boy and girl tribal person swing a white boy and girl by the hair. I typed names but thought better of it and deleted... Now they have the most lucrative casino in california. I'm glad the days of poverty. alcholism and obesity are ... I'm assuming .. better?? over? I had good experiences with other natives, my buddy lived on the rez.. had a summer job once on the rez somehow and my mom wouldn't let me go, i had to babysit the 3 younger sisters, I told my sponsor, Pumpkin and he said, that's work, so he brought me a check a couple of times that summer.. we were dirt poor and I lived like a little king that summer.. bought a black light and posters and 8-tracks of black sabbath who and neil young... Another Bad day, I was hit by a truck, bleeding out on the pavement, tommy cooly ripped off shirt to tournequet my leg, another guy Lenny or Danny Espinosa pulled his belt to make a better one and kept calming me, that in spite of my left leg drapped over my right shoulder, "your gonna be ok"...Thanks Man!! So like all people in all times.. good n bad. bad n good

Non Spanish Europeans got land through trade not conquest. Native Americans began to attack the settlements over trade disputes and perceived insults until a full blown war was the only option the settlers had. That’s why they got pushed out from the East Coast. The west was a continuous war caused by the power vacuum from disease and hostile bands of natives empowered by the horse.

First off thanks if you actually read my post. What part do you think I imagined?Truly, there are worse stories. I seek and speak only truth. My flaw is I'm willing to share personal memories of living on Willows Road, Alpine Ca... the house was called the Green Parrot Inn back in the 1920-30s, see I can't stop sharing. @@sharoncruzen1942 rom

They fought amongst each other before europeans came. and liasons with the high tech invaders benefited some tribes when it favored them. and others got shafted. Our creator will sort in the end.@@HarupertBeagleton-dz5gw
