Also, something that u missed, or maybe just my imagination, Hughie has never until this episode (after taking the 24h drug) been able to open the jar while speaking with Annie in their apartment, but in this episode he was able to do it, hinting at the fact that maybe the drug may have a long-lasting effect but not as potent as the normal compound v, but little by little changing their bodies. This can also mirror becoming the thing you swore to destroy with butcher telling Maggie that all soups have to die, but butcher will become one as well.

I'm sure hughie knows what starlight wants, however, his trauma from his previous girlfriend being killed by a supe is affecting his judgement. He wants to be able to make sure that she's safe and I like how from season 1 to now homelanders insanity has evolved.

What an emotional rollercoaster! I know, we are supposed to hate him & probably will in the future episodes... But his confrontation scene with Crimson Countess was brilliant! The confusion, bravado, heartbreak, anger & acceptance.

I think what it is the big difference between homelander and Soldier Boy is that Soldier Boy I think genuinely doesn't know what he's doing is wrong where homelander he knows what he is doing is wrong, so even though they have two scenes that mirror each other, Soldier Boy actually thought all of his friends liked him

@@brandonspencer5594 Fair, but Homelander knows without a doubt that he's wrong, he just doesn't care. Soldier Boy, being a standard white guy from the 40's, probably doesn't see anything wrong with how he thinks or acts because it wasn't an issue then and that's how he came up. It's like how in the 1800's some people didn't object to slavery because they grew up with it and never experienced any negative effects. Homelander knows people would hate him if they knew the truth. The big difference is that Soldier Boy doesn't know what he did wrong. First he was appealing for being an entitled douche, now he's appealing because it seems like he genuinely wants to know what he did that was so wrong; that may even mean he tries to become a better person.

Strong theory going that Hughie is gunna face off with Victoria. Victoria needs to see her victim to explode them. Hughie’s teleportation powers allow him to move away and will make Hughie beating Victoria make sense. Butcher’s power are similar to homelanders which will make him surviving a fight with homelander make sense. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out though. Great video as always Charlie

Teleportation is also incredibly similar to super speed, in that it gets you from point A to point B fast. So it would be effective not only against neuman, but hughie can finally get justice for Robin by putting down A-train once and for all. Although it’s possible blue hawk will kill him in a fight, so we’ll see

@@Riddickisawesome101 Kind of. Teleportation allows you to avoid the path between points a and b, yet get from a to b. That's good. However, unlike super speed, teleportation does not create momentum. Or at least nothing even close to the momentum, and force that comes from moving at mach 5 (or whatever A-trains top speed is).

I wonder if it'll be like in the comics where the long lasting effects are enhanced strength and healing (much like Kimiko's power) but the crazy super powers are only temporary. Butcher will be that much more dangerous.

I think those powers will eventually come back after a long delay. Butcher and the others will realize belatedly that the depowering effect of Soldier Boy's new ability is only temporary.

I think that due to Homelander's special circumstance around V (it seems to imply that he was given V *pre*-natal, whereas all other Supes are *post*-natal) his actual power is the innate production of Compound V, his body naturally produces it while other Supes are empowered by exogenous V. Soldier Boy is able to burn the V out a Supe, removing their powers but a pre-natal subject like Homelander (or Ryan,) it would only be a temporary effect.

@@sferrin2 Maybe, Kimiko was able to tank the blast. She was injured and couldn't heal, yes but she survived. Crimson Countess was charcoal. That, to me, indicates Soldier Boy's powers are not instantaneous and if my theory that Homelander innately produces V is true, he can be brought down a notch but not completely de-powered. It might give an opening for someone like Maeve or even Annie to hurt him but it's a small window at best.

Maybe as sentry since he's a lot like this character, a previous drug addict given a lot of power but instead of just going bad he's split into two parts one the being the darkness the other being everything good. Alternatively captain britan a very captain America but not quite character, depending on if they are looking to integrate the x-men more after the multiverse madness maybe even have him come in as Vulcan or Havok and give that character a much more pivotal role in the story rather than the standard x-men focus to change things up a bit.

There are 2 more Easter eggs. One in the first episode of this season, Jim Beaver played Robert (Bobby) Singer in SPN, and is playing a character having the same name in the Boys. Another one is the date of the tape MM was watching about Soldier Boy's experiment. The date was 24th of January, which is also Dean Winchester's birthday in SPN ^^ (Dean Winchester having been played by Jensen Ackles).

Fan theory with very little comic book knowledge: Soldier Boy will be able to knick Homelander (only a small cut) at the Season 3 finale which will cause Homeland to experience to be a powerless human for a bit in Season 4. Then 2 COAs: 1) He will take Compound V to “keep appearances”; and the getting killed off in a massive insane way. 2) He slowly regains his powers back until he is mostly full up, but we don’t know it until we see few good guys die in the middle of Season 4 when that is revealed to us. I don’t see Amazon fulling killing him off since it doesn’t look like Black Noir is his clone. Of course, if the first B.N. died then never mind.

I can totally see Homelander's public image be completely destroyed and Soldier Boy temporarily taking away Homelander's powers after hitting him with a radiation blast. It would be cool to see Homelander get knocked of his high horse, become powerless, loose his image and be forced to go into hiding or be captured and imprisoned like Superman in Injustice 2 may or may not happen.

I think soldier boy and homelander are gonna team up. The way that homelanders conversation with Maeve mirrored soldiers boys convo with crimson countess was meant to show that they'll understand each other. And homelander telling Maeve "it's lonely at the top, but we were lonely together" is supposed to be foreshadowing but I think they'll turn on eachother at the end and homelander will end up seriously injured for the first time, while soldier boy will die.

It will be interesting to see him actually struggle against a trained soldier once depowered? I've watched him crush a skull and punched a dude with the rest taken out with laser eyes - how well can he defend himself? hope we see him portray a struggled fight like in batman v superman that'd be so satisfying!
