The Maeve-Butcher hookup surprised me the most

I'm sure hughie knows what starlight wants, however, his trauma from his previous girlfriend being killed by a supe is affecting his judgement. He wants to be able to make sure that she's safe.

I think maybe Lenny died of some type of overdose and he started doing drugs with Butcher. He mentions he has done every drug there is to Maeve, and there’s no guilt like survivor’s guilt.

Did anyone else notice that homelander seemed intimidated for the first time by soldier boy, his expression completely changed when he saw the damage the guy could do.

I can't lie I found it hilarious when noir came out of nowhere, and just to think how much he enjoyed that after what happened last season just made it even better.

Queen Maeves confession of hating Homelander and Crimsons’ confession are a direct parallel. Almost like Solider Boy was the first “Homelander” in a sense Edit: turns out he was 😭

I'm kind of surprised Starlight reacted the way she did. She knows the threat that Homelander is. Homie killed supersonic,and said he would kill Hughie to starlight. She should be willing to do whatever it takes to kill Homelander and be more understanding of why Hughie is doing what he is doing.

God i hope they don't kill off Maeve. I love her so much. And i think Soldier boy is gonna betray Butcher and team up with Homelander

I really hope Starlight doesn’t die she’s my favorite character on The Boys. It’s nice to have a hero on this show who is genuinely a SUPERHERO! Someone who truly wants to do the right thing.

The radiation treatment probably altered his atomic structure of the character Soldier Boy which gave him different abilities. Compound V it's already a mutagen adding on radiation which causes that too doesn't make it better.

The Solider Boy looking at Robert Singer was a nod to Dean and Bobby Singer in Supernatural.

If you noticed in that scene from episode 3 where "Payback" is committing a bunch of friendly fire, and Black Noir is also killing Grace's own men which seems completely out of character for him considering he didn't seem careless or incompetent - but if Stan Edgar was the driving force behind the betrayal of Soldier Boy then it makes perfect sense why Black Noir would be killing "allies" (to eliminate witnesses for the betrayal and also make the capture of SB much easier).

Eventhough the direction the show is going on setting up a battle soldier boy vs homelander don’t forget soldier boy was also bad before getting captured plus the years he’s been getting tortured you never know what he’s actually thinking I feel their can be a twist were the boys might actually regret teaming up with soldier boy and homelander might be used to stop soldier boy ☝️

8:31 is also an "Supernatural" easteregg. Robert "Bobby" Singer was a very important character and a father figure to Sam and Dean Winchester in that show. I like how they are showing Jensen stopping for a second seeing the election poster of "Bobby". It was subtle, but for a fan of "Supernatural" and its cast, I found it a little bit touching ...

I absolutely love Ashley. She's so supremely cast and acted. 👌 That anxiety is way too real.

I like how from season 1 to now homelanders insanity has evolved.

I kind of like the story Arc they are doing with A-Train he has gone from this cocky overconfident hero to being someone who is struggling to figure out who he actually wants to be and now he is at this crossroads does he stand up to Homelander and Bluehawk and fully redeems himself or does he stay with the people who Starlight acuratly calls 'People who hate you'

"I can't believe you are teaming up with a murderer" - Starlight, who is on a team with Homelander

I'm guessing Vought made a deal with the USSR to give up Soldier Boy to increase the demand for sups. With the Soviets in decline the need for sups would decline also and that would be bad for business.

This episode really made me fear every second spend on screen with Homelander. In earlier seasons, Homelander put up a fake smile and even took shit from others. But now, any little remark levels Homelander. I compare Homelander to that of ticking time boom. The stress of running of company will only drive him down a much darker path. In the comics, Homelander starts war with humanity. It has been hinted that Homelander values very little to does without super powers. Maybe this season will set up the rise of a powerful war on the Horizon. It’s hard to tell what will happen next, but this season might be setting up the true and final season of The Boys, Season 4.

I don’t like where Janines step dad is going. I guess any arc for her family is better than what was in the comics (in full seriousness) but I can tell this will be rough.

“Whatever it takes” fits so well this season, actual sacrifice

I feel like all the budget for season 3 went to the damage that Soldier Boy did to the building. Because I barely see any super powers being performed from Homelander. I see Butcher do more powers than Homelander in this season. Or maybe they’re saving it for Soldier Boy vs Homelander in the finale

Soldier Boy kinda feeling like a Cap/Winter Soldier combo.

Huchie, butcher, and soldiers boy are basically the same person in three different stages of their life. A lesson in what love can do to a man.

I think the next episode may set its focus on Black noir a bit more. Crimson countess and gunpowder are gone and the rest of team payback haven't been shown so i assume they are dead or irrelevant to soldier boy but black noir is still alive and working for the man who took soldier boys place so I can see soldier boy and the boys going for black noir next and he may actually get killed. That way they might also bring queen Maeve back

I love how the first thing Soldier Boy see's when in America is Bobby xD Dang gave me goosebumps

I’m upset for A-Train which I didn’t expect. Im angry with him as well but wow. I want to see him have a heart attack getting revenge for his brother and fighting blue hawk. I’m not usually for revenge as even in these comments I’m not digging the mentality, but the only redemption A train could have is actually loving and helping his family over vaught’s wishes by doing this.

There was a scene in this season's trailer that Soldier boy is beating someone with bare legs to death with his shield. Seeing that hughie looses his dress whenever he teleports, I am afraid it might be him😭😭

Did y’all see how Hughie was eye fucking the temporary compound V when Butcher popped the trunk? I don’t think it’s jus Butcher that’s gonna have a problem dealing with V addiction

I love the metaphor that soldier boy's radiation power stoping the compound v (super power). Just like chemo or radiation therapy dose for cancer. Also butcher and hugie's temp V power is the same kind of power what homelander and A-team have. The person they hate the most.

On my opinion this episode is the best in season 3 till now

I kinda got irritated w/ Annie Starlight at the end of this episode. Hughie may be wanting to save her, but he and Butcher would be saving SO many other ppl by getting rid of HomeLander, and even Starlight knows that Homelander has GOT to go. What does she expect Hughie to do, just sit at home and watch the world make fun of him for being cuckolded by Homelander? I'd like to know what kind of person would take that kind of humiliation publicly just to be w/ someone they love privately. I feel like Starlight should know that as long as Homelander is around, she won't ever get to truly be w/ Hughie; look at Maeve, it took about 8 yrs to break away from Homelander as a couple, and even still Maeve has had to push everyone she cares about away to keep them from being killed in an immature jealous rage by Homelander.

After hearing Butcher talk about killing them all, I also have a theory that Herogasm is going to start out as an orgy but turn into a slaughter of Soldier Boy, Butcher and Hughie killing all the superheroes.

As a black man what Starlight hit A Train with struck deep. I was shamed, I see what the writers did there. It was meant to trigger on another level but in a wake up type way

This so far is my favorite episode to date Idk how they can take on Homelander without Soldier Boy. I mean they could work with the russians who clearly deeply hate sups and have devoted all of their military to fighting sups but it seems I'm the only one in real life and fiction that thought of this So outside of this it's just Soldier Boy ws it's never been disclosed if Homelander has a weakness or can even be harmed Personally as many have said I think Starlight was a bit out of character in this episode when she is desperate to escape Homelander. I mean he just took out Supersonic and made Queen Maeve disappear. She literally has no allies left so she can't afford to be picky and choosy. I think A Train trying to be a nicer better guy for his brother I guess makes sense but it doesn't change the fact thet he is one of the biggest narcissists in the series but at least his relationship with his brother has always been established And the deep is just a mindless pawn Might as well give him the diver outfit at this point since there is nothing going on in his brain

A train is a major douches! What he did to starlight, and supersonic because if he didn't put them on the chopping block , it would have been his ass in homelanders line of sight so I honestly don't feel bad for him. This is just karma catching up to him.

Soldier boy is totally gonna switch allegiances and team up with Homelander, as they both feel wronged by Stan Edgar and Voight. It wouldn't surprise me if Homelander was created in the lab from SB's DNA or something and they'll form a father son type dynamic.

I like how starlight says she doesnt need saving when Huey was talking about feeling like he can be the one saving for once. The issue was never about starlight it was about huey and huey feeling helpless. As a man, our core responsibility is to provide and protect. So Huey not being able to protect makes him feel like less of a man. Hopefully this isnt overlooked by the writers and the story actually puts emphasis on the fact that starlight made that particular issue about herself when it was really a war between huey and himself. This happens too often in relationships. People get offended then become defensive, thus, putting up fences between them and their partner.

One of the best episodes yet!

Their definitely seems to be a build up to a big battle between the boys with soldier boy taking on Homelander. Now that Maeve is in captivity butcher has no way to get more temp-V if he runs out. Maybe the boys with starlight will attempt to rescue Maeve . This next episode is supposed to be herogasm. I doubt it will dominate the whole episode,but they will show supes partying and having an orgy.The writers of the boys comic probably got this idea from the movie eyes wide shut.

Amazing episode

I know this episode didn't have as much action as the last one. But this episode really stands out for me. It is much more deeper emotionally. Butcher ,and hughie both know that soldier boy isn't any good, buy them have to work with him to fight homelander. Nobody is right or wrong here, but you can tell where they are coming from ,and you can see they don't have any other options. This episode is all about making hard choices.

If you think about it, Soldier Boy is exactly like Homelander. He's not going to fight Homelander. They will team up at the end of the season

There's something I'm still wondering. Was the whole thing about superheroes being able to kill tons of people with collateral damage and get away with it commentary on the military killing tons of people with collateral damage? Because literally no one in any MCU or DCU movie has said that superheroes like Doctor Strange or Batman aren't legally responsible for people they accidentally kill so it can't be criticizing that

Ngl starlights reaction to the whole compound v situation is pretty weird and I also have mixed feelings about their relationship in the show. Like I understand if she doesn’t feel like she needs saving and she wants Hughie safe, but you’d think from her perspective, she’d want him to have at least some defense against homelander? I mean homelander already threatened Hughie last episode and it’s pretty clear she can’t protect him herself. Maybe him having the ability to teleport out of any situation would be pretty useful? Also theres 2 sides to each relationship. Starlight might be fine with Hughie not having any powers, but is he? Like that’s his life. He is the one that homelander is threatening, and if starlight messes up or doesn’t follow everything he says, it’s Hughie that’s in danger . Also just cause one person has the opposite opinion of something in a relationship, doesn’t mean you should be forced to go along with them (unless it’s something actually wrong). You can either agree, find a middle ground, agree to disagree, or break up. It’s not black and white, so I don’t really look at Hughie in the wrong here (tho wishing he wouldn’t lie/was doing about it in a different/safer way).
