The actors who played young Grace and Stan friggin' nailed it. Especially Stan, that actor was on point with the speech pattern and physical tics which really sold that this was a young Stan Edgars.

We actually met A-Train’s brother in season one. He was his trainer.

I love that Robert Singer's actor played Bobby Singer in the series "Supernatural", also directed by Eric Kripke.

Edgar didn't say he was going to retire, he said he wants to be out of the "superhero" business within 5 years. This is because he's planning to slowly phase it out over time in an effort to gain traction as he tries to transition Vought from it's current status of being goofy entertainment merchants to a military/pharmaceutical powerhouse

Did you hear what Edgar or Noir said right before the part about peanuts and the mask? Someone said something about everyone is on board except Gunpowder. I have a feeling their is no gun, but payback turned on Soldier Boy. I think Black Noir's face was melted off by Soldier Boy's hidden power that we see in the trailers. They all turned on Soldier Boy, there was a fight and Soldier Boy was finally knocked out, then Vought took him and they blamed it all on the Russians.

I was concerned as the new season began, that *_The Boys_* would perhaps falter, but they haven't missed a step and instead may have found a new gear.

So I have a theory based on a poster released on The Boys Twitter account this morning. What if this weapon is actually a clone of Soldier boy. The poster shows two soldier boys (one on the boys side and one on Vought’s side). This may just be showing that Soldier boy is playing both sides but Idk, it’s just a theory.

I think Black Noir is going to have a deeper story despite not being a Homelander clone. I think theres some sort of “connection” between Edgar and Noir but like a caring one. We can see he has some sort of humility and warmth, hinted by his relationship with Neuman. Maybe after being burned, Edgar is the only person that advocates to save Noir. And the same person that gets Noir to become the leader. Noir seems under the control of Edgar but maybe it’s an actual “alliance”. Maybe they’ve been against Vought and have been planning to tear it down. Especially because of the racist/antisemitic roots.

The teleporting kid is the son on Madeline Stillwell as shown in episode trivia. And this explains how that kid escaped from season 1.

Stan Edgars said he wants to be “out” of the superhero business in five years, not that he wants to retire. He’s at least claiming that once soldiers can get temp powers Vought will stop making heroes of the dangerous incompetents who have powers today. (Edgars is not going to quit gracefully. Probably a supe will eventually take him out, or at least try to. But Stan is not the type to give up power for a quiet retirement.)

I love Homelander coming to the conclusion that he can kill anybody, relatively quick too

Stan Edgar doesn't seem to be freaking out, so I guess he's got a weapon to take him down if he gets out of line.

Holy fuck if these 1st 3 episodes are this wild imagine what the rest of this shit is gonna have

My theory is that the secret weapon is Soldier Boy. 1) After Edgar realised that Payback was not selling well with the crowd (echoed by the young major saying women did not like Soldier Boy), he devised a plan to get the group killed in Nicaragua, and brandish them as true heroes/freedom fighters (to bolster Voughts image). 2) Due to being unable to kill Soldier Boy,he got him literally brainwashed(maybe using a telepathic sup/or Edgar is telepathic himself) into being a timid simpleton and used his DNA to create Homelander, as a more marketable replacement. 3) Soldier boy is Edgars contingency plan,in the event Homelander gets out of control (since black Noir is clearly not the fail safe anymore.) 4) When the boys find Soldier boy,he is going to be timid. Season 4's storyline might be based on the premise of trying to convince soldier boy to fight Homelander.

two big details I noticed with Black Noir and Homelander. with Homelander, he's got no real muscle on him. his entire suit is heavily padded especially in the chest and abs. I had a feeling the suit was padded after binging the first two seasons again and my suspicion was confirmed when homelander was shown without his suit. he's got no muscle on his upper body. lol and this shows how he over estimates his own power bc he would have a herculean body and with Noir, the writers are trolling everyone by using their own suspicions and comic book knowledge against them. in the comics Noir is a perfect more crazy clone of homelander designed to be the last resort plan in the event homelander went rogue. but in the show he's just a simple rookie that paid the price after biting off more than he could chew and became Vought's attack dog after suffering brain damage and severe burns.

Wait they actually named him “Robert Singer” when that’s the exact name they used for that same actors character in Supernatural????

I definitely think that the 'weapon to destroy Homelander' is Ryan himself. I also don't buy Stormfront being dead. If we don't see the dead body, then there is no legitimate proof.

I hope there’s another layer to Black Noir that can at least pays homage to the twist from the comics

While I knew the black noir twist from the comic wasn’t going to happen I couldn’t be disappointed by his back story reveal. Could of been much much more interesting.

I honestly really love this new super serum. Homelander shows what having that much power and being un-challenged can do to someone, but the idea that ANYONE could get superpowers really does make everything more interesting. I honestly want to see this serum go public. Then when homeland still thinks he is untouchable, he tries to kill a civilian only for that guy to live, possibly even fight back. This random guy doesn't have to win, but I would love to see a scene of homelander looking down and realizing he has a bloody nose. Any random person has the potential to actually make homelander bleed now. That is something he NEVER thought could be possible. He thought having superpowers made him better than the "mud people," But now there is no telling what powers people will get. I would guess only a few thousand superheroes exist, so there isn't exactly a large population size to have a chance to be as strong as homelander, but if everyone has a chance to use it, he goes from untouchable to a relatively big fish, and the pond just got MUCH bigger. Also, We do know the original serum acted like a drug that shrinks your testicles, similar to the effects of steroids if you already had powers, so it makes sense the new one would cause similar effects. I still want to see normal people with it, but that does put a flaw in my "everyone should be super" idea. Though I still hope some random guy gets a good punch on homelander. If the main characters do, it wouldn't mean much because they are the main characters, and Homelander knows them. If some random person made him feel weak for even a second, I could see him completely unraveling.

Butchers face when finding out that Neuman was the head popper is my fave. He was shocked, confused, and then angry and I was livingggggg

it seems like stan edgar is doing every thing in his power, TO SET HOMELANDER OFF…! making starlight co-captian, shutting him out of decision’s, i think he killed or faked stormfronts death! and he may be doing this in hopes to make the world hate supes, and the V24 will be to give to soldiers to fight against all supes and kill them! like stan said he is sick of the supes!

Butcher was more dealing with the powers as a first time user, I thought. Like they kick in and some are harder to control right off like the laser eyes. Liked how they showed a young Stan as cold and calculating as his older self. Homelander claiming him and Starlight are dating is smart for his points and controlling her and the seven.

I think Butcher will be the one to challenge him. The V24 will have lasting effects which will lead to a final battle. Especially now that the whole black noir twist seems to not be in play.

You missed part that Deep's gf also forces Deep to eat Timothy and I wonder how much of that has to do jealosy as while they get intimate together, Timothy is there watching and Deep's hearing Timothy's thoughts. Also Homelander focing him to eat Timonthy seems kinda sadistic mental power games that he likes to play with everyone that he possibly can to feed his own sick ego. Though probably idea that it is excatly Timothny might be idea/suggested by Deep's gf. Placing excatly that octopus on Deep's plate wasn't no coincidence.

Blue Hawk makes me think of the term "Blue Falcon." In the military a Blue Falcon is someone who is fucking up or messing around and holding everyone back. Like someone who refuses to do their assignments and other have to pull that persons share. It means "Buddy Fucker."

That black noir reveal was so bittersweet and What I gathered from the 3rd episode is that Soldier Boy and We don't know the reason yet, of course. and we see how black noir got a scarred face.

I think the comic reveal of black would have been better. it would have had more personal relevance to homelander.

well the article wasn't work for hire so the estate could win something. what they would win and the value of it is questonable. The predator case is similar as the brothers may only get the rights to the spec script hunters. The marvel problem is the estates at most get partial rights as the lee estate is both not invovled and his part is defintley work for hire.
