The Seth Rogan scene was hilarious. Do yourself a favor and watch it with subtitles. When he starts beating it, the subtitles say "rhythmic sloshing." 🤣
I took out my headphones when watching it because it was grossing me out, but even without audio I was able to read "rythmic sloshing" lol. There's definitely been a few times that this season has made me look away from the screen lol, mainly this scene, the Termite scene and I think one of the gory scenes. Maybe it's dumb of me to get more freaked out by a guy wanking than heads exploding lol.
15:00 A-Train has an underrated hypocritical line to the Deep in the hallway: "Homelander is a great man!" "But the way *you* kiss his ass is disgusting". Made me LOL.
I think Homelander gets off on mere mortals challenging him. When you’re the most powerful and everyone either fears or loves you the only challenges in your life will be the ones that hate you. That’s why Butcher, Stan and Hughie( this season) haven’t been killed by him yet.
That confused me about the "mom" thing he had in season 1. For a while I thought she was a mastermind but she was arguably a hostage serving sex to a god exchange for her life. Almost like a god, so you're on point! My only annoyance is it gets redundant seeing people hold breathe and beg.
Hopefully the next episode gives Soldier Boy an expanded reasoning for why he would agree to help Butcher take out Homelander because what Butcher gave him at the end of the episode hardly seems sufficient
Soldier boy will most likely wanna take down Vought which directly conflicts with Homelander and is what Butcher wants. It’s most likely Stan Egger who ordered the capture of Soldier Boy maybe due to the birth of Homelander. There’s the Grace Mallory connection plus the boys did free him. Grace could be on Soldier Boys list and that puts Ryan in danger.
You seem to forget he was betrayed by his own team, and then the parent company that created him, bolstered him to a national treasure level status, and left him for dead as a lost asset. He has plenty of reason to go after vought and their greatest mascot Homelander, who to him seems like a half measure and not nearly a successor to himself.
@@Lavolpeengreece yeah. I don’t think the depower is permanent. Kimiko is gonna bounce back probably next episode. It doesn’t make sense for her arc to lose her powers permanently at this point in the story.
@@Etticos. my theory is they DO fry homelander and he loses his powers but for whatever reason survives, and like you said with Kimiko eventually gets his powers back. Like maybe a season 5 return
@@Captain_Insano_nomercy my only issue with that theory is that there is absolutely no shot that Homelander loses his powers and the members of the boys don’t murder him immediately. Even Starlight would kill him the second she had the chance.
Can’t remember where I saw it but it was theorized Hughie might face Neuman. She needs to “lock on” to something to explode it. Hughie teleports when on V24. Could be interesting. Also I posted this before watching the video. Oh. And I already love the video. Favorite people who talk about what I’m interested in. Now THAT is good soup. Cheers
I love what they are doing with Homelander, he is growing more and more paranoid with each scene. I think what Edgard said about him being "a bad product and not being their most valuable asset" is what set him of, Homelander was already a broken lunatic, but he wasn't a paranoid before that moment. The board meeting scene was one of my favourites so far, the woman made him feel like an absolute idiot, and his facial expressions showed that he can't cope with feeling like he is below anyone in any shape or form. I also love what their are doing with the annoying bip sound, I think we could see Homelander having a panic attack real soon, we know he had them when he was Ryan's age. It would be great to see him as he is now going face to face with his human weaknesses.
I was really happy to see the Hindu girl in crime analytics return. I'm rooting for her to get a good job somewhere else, at this point why would a random non-supe still want to work at Vought?
Aaron seriously called it on the lighting with homelander and with all of the characters really, the cinematography and the lighting crew are definitely communicating with each other. Also the grain effects are getting better too it's more gritty but it doesn't feel like they're doing more if you know what I mean.
I was wondering what was being set up with Butcher, the way he looks at Hughie and seeing his deceased brother, Lenny and the fact the aunt mentions the deceased brother in series 2 is a potential breadcrumb for Butcher’s future in the show.
If you haven't seen it you should seriously check out the fan animation of Omni Man vs. Homelander. It's extremely well done and one of my favorites details is that Omni Man taunts Homelander by saying "what's wrong, never been hit by someone your own size?"
Personally i think it's been pretty bad since Infinity War. Endgame was a mess imo. Haven't watched any Marvel since (except No Way Home because nostalgia lol).
Starlight is so annoying this season thinking she's better than everyone. Oh no Hughe is teaming with a murderer. While he killed Translucent and Butcher wants to kill is a personal trait and the whole plan is to kill Homelander. Everyone she warned is killed and captured. Ashley being a CEO is saving her life and off homelanders radar as a threat. Starlight is pushing it and talking about Maves location will kill Ashley and Hughe
Yeah, I realize right away that Ashley made the right call telling her to make an appointment. She realized she would be signing her death sentence. She doesn’t even have any powers.
Well you’re on the right track but I can totally see billy having a plan to manipulate soldier boy into trying to kill homelander and it totally blowing up in his face when homelander actually kills soldier boy.
Prediction: I think this season has very clearly shown that butcher isn’t even drawing a line to cross and will literally do anything to end all supes. I can see him trying to set a game plan to use soldier boy to kill homelander and also the other supes all at the same time but homelander will kill soldier boy and finally be set over the edge to the point of no return because they are also hinting that he has a plan in place already to end the fucking world if he feels like it haha
@TeamTripleStar maybe he wouldn’t kill soldier but then but fuck him up like storm front. While come on don’t you want to see a little bit of rampage from homelander just to show how dangerous he is?
MM probably liked blondie. The producers appear to be rap fans. Blondie in real world was involved in early rap. The first MTV video with rap is Blondie's Rapture. So the scene is meant to simulate that time and video. Also, MM repeatedly wears the shirts with rap group logos from Public Enemy to Run DMC to the Stop the Violence moment organized by KRS-ONE after his DJ Scott La Rock was shot dead. I think they don't really need Soldier Boy. Butcher has already been shown with the laser eyes and bulletproof body which only Homelander and his son have. I think this means that he has the same powers as Homelander when on the juice. Butcher speaks of the V bringing out latent power and I think this is meant to mean that he and homelander are mirrors of each other. Maeve and Soldier Boy will die this season. Homelander will win the battle this season with Starlight finding a latent power. Kimoko will take the temp V and it will restore her powers permanently. A-Train story is a dead end because what can he really do especially when no one trusts him. The season ends with homelander on top the opposite of how he started. The battle lines will be draw between the boys and starlight and homelander and black noir.
The scene where kamiko started to talk actually got me, and then they completely ruined it with that ridiculous singing scene 😒 wtf even was that? Completely killed the tone marvel style
