Papel-blown was a terrible teammate when he was in DC, and got into it with just about everybody in the clubhouse as well as the front office. Meanwhile, Tony Two Bags led his team to a WS title. We will always remember him fondly here, despite his decline in recent years. Anybody who watched him play, always with a gigantic smile on his face, can tell you that he loves the game. His comments that there were things more important in life than baseball have always been taken out of context and (Papel)-blown out of proportion. Frankly, he played for a fraction of what he was worth in Washington and earned every penny of that contract with the Angels before he even stepped onto the field in Anaheim. Mike Trout signed one of the biggest contracts in the history of all sports while: 1. NOT leading his team to a title, and 2. ALSO having injury troubles...so why don't people level the same criticism at him? Off the field comments? Come on people, let's pay more attention to what we see on the field than off. My two cents...

​@mattifolks Rendon didn't really lead that team. The Nats had huge help from Corbin, Scherzer, and Strausberg all having great years and Soto was almost neck and neck with Rendon in stats. On top of that the whole team just got hot at the right time. Trea Turner had some moments in the postseason and Strausberg was the MVP of that run. Not Rendon.

Yea, every player loves the game to a different degree. And I can’t imagine a player that wouldn’t put their family over baseball. They would have to be a fanatic about baseball and probably other variables. But my problem with Rendon. Is him actively saying he “hates” it when he barely has played the last few years. It’s disrespectful to everyone involved.

I've gotten used to it. The quality and content made it bearable and then it became not too bad (for me). I'm also in agreement that I don't think it's intentional, and it's definitely done on around 98% of sentences. I hope you can find a way to tolerate it because this channel is pretty good in my opinion.
